Review Pancakes On The Rocks - Sydney

Warren Hau
The original pancakes on the rocks. Staff were top notch, great service. Food was delicious. The crepes look small but are very filling. Mexican potatoes pancake was alright. Strong flavours with the salsa. The pancakes are very filling. But overall good food, decent prices

Great service. Good food. Best location, close to the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Price is worth every penny. Any concern/issues you got, they do their best to rectify it.

Quite often I find a long queue of eager (mostly) tourists and local diners outside Pancakes On The Rocks, a dining chain famous for pancakes, pizzas, steaks, and ribs. I used to find myself in the queue as well, but I think the restaurant is overrated. Food is good in general. Pancakes are nice, but overall nothing special about them. I don’t recommend you order anything else other than pancakes. You might end up with a tough steak, an overpriced ribs (better go to Hurricane grill), or a mediocre nacho plate, or worst an underwhelming pizza. Serving is generous. Pricing is okay for the area.

My partner and I came here over the weekend because our local Pancakes closed a while back. I have been craving the chicken and mushroom crepe for ages now, so I ordered them here. Unfortunately they didn’t taste the same for some reason :( The crepe was still good however but I wouldn’t order them again. It was a little boring and I feel the filling was lacking. My bf loved his dish and I loved my iced tea. If you can handle waiting in line it’s not a bad place to visit :)

We came here for breakfast and were surprised that the place was slightly empty. We ordered the Pancake N' Scrambled Eggs, with bacon & Italian Sausages on the side. The buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and not so sweet. Loved it! Their bacon & Italian sausages were cooked well and were juicy. Their coffee is sadly not so great.

The Pancakes are very delicious. I ordered a chocolate peanut butter with ice-cream for dessert, and it was mouth watering good. The chocolate mixed with peanut butter is very delicious and combine with the ice cream took the whole thing to the next level. 👍👍👍👍 Pancakes and the ribs is a must try. Will definitely come back next time I visit Sydney 😆👍

Pancakes are top notch favourites here. Great place to have brunch and good service provided by the staff members. The food was delightful and rich. The overall ambience of the place was cosy.

Spacious and quick service. Great for breakfast. We had the - Aussie Sunrise: was a bit skeptic of the pineapple but it fits right in - Bananarama: one of their best sellers and it didn’t disappoint! I wouldn’t come here for their steak as it wasnt good when I tried few months back.

nutella pancake🥰 balanced ingredients, sweetness average, not too sweet:) a moist, sweet and tender pancake that bakes up with a nice even buttermilk❤️ which created a more complex flavor🥳🥳 super attentive and friendly waitress😘

Pancake on the Rock, Sydney.
•
I ordered the chocolate pancake with strawberry, chocolate syrup and chocolate ice cream (DEVIL's DELIGHT) and the original pancake, with banana cuts, caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream (BANANARAMA).
•
Price :
Devil's Delight AUD$16.95
Bananarama AUD$14.95
•
Pancake on the rocks is honestly a must if you visit Sydney. Not only they sell delicious pancakes, there are also savoury option, like ribs, pizza and savoury crepes. The pancake that I ordered taste really nice, the chocolate in Devil's Delight is not too sweet, just what I wanted. Personally I'm not really a fond of chocolate, but this pancake just want me to eat more chocolate🤤. However, Bananarama is still #1 for me. The ambience is really nice, service was really good. I'll definitely revisit😊

I came here twice, the first one was June 2019 with whole big family. The manager was so kind, a lady... she helped us kindly with anything we need, mainly because one out of 8 main courses didn’t go through. Not sure if it’s the mistake of the waitress or kitchen. Later on, when we ordered the pancakes, we ordered 3 and only 2 arrived. Hahaha but we just cancel one that didn’t arrived. I remember it was Vivid Sydney night, so busy, we even waited for 40 minutes to get in. So for that? We move on.

However, I just recently went there... it seems like the place moved to another side of the area. The food? As always, great. It was not too busy that moment.

I saw the place got at least 6 active waitress. And all that I learned, anyone else but us got their glass watched closely and get it refilled when empty, even some tables were given the big huge jar that’s enough for 6-8 glasses. Me and my Mrs? No one care... even a lady just ignored us after refilling customers’ drinks next to us. So we called one that walked pass, and guess what? We waited for at least 5 minutes for the water to come, I was tired and disgusted by the service so we leave and pay the bill right away.

Oh yea, basically waitress here are kicking out people after they eat their last bite of meal. It’s disgusting, impolite!! We really wanted to actually order the pancake as we finished our main courses. However, the very minute my meal finished, bill came in. I don’t know, maybe the staff think we couldn’t pay for more? Lol.

I wouldn’t come back, will tell family and friends to never come here. There are plenty of good steaks in Sydney. Their pancake is overrated by tourists, mainly by people who don’t seemed to understand pancake anyway.... 🤣🤣🤣

I mean, for something that cost you $100+ for two persons? You will expect a service better than NAND**

I am now a very big fan of their pancakes. Truly loved it. They are worth a try and also I am sure you won’t finish it all. They have huge portion size also quick service and so friendly staff. We ordered so many different types of pancakes all of them are amazing also there are so many other options you can choose some thing savoury from that if you are not huge fan of sweets but I love sweets.

Price-3.5/5
Service-4/5
Ambience-4/5
Food-4/5

Pancakes On The Rocks did not disappoint! We got the popular Devil's Delight and the Apple Crumble buttermilk pancakes. Excellent price, tasty food, good portion sizes, and fast and friendly service. 100% recommend and they're open 24/7!

We were traumatised by a bad experience in the new location at the rocks. The staff was rude and uncivilised. She threw the bill at our table and yelled us to pass the glasses to her. We’re still having conversation. The restaurant was actually not busy and she kicked us out. That was the worst experience we had in restaurants.

Must place to visit for dessert lover! Esp with the pancake and crepes. Not overly sweet and good portion of food to share with friends.
Girl Eats Sydney
I actually really love this place. Its opened 24 hours, so any time of the day you can get yourself a cheeky stack of pancakes. I always get the big breakfast no matter what time of the day I am there. You get two buttermilk pancakes, fried egg, bacon, hash, sausage - its delicious. Once I decided to try fro the grill menu and got pork ribs and chips, they were absolutely delicious. SO now I always get ribs and pancakes! Its a good place for families with children to.

Wedges were tasty, pancakes were fluffy yet dense. If you’re really hungry (REALLY) and craving pancakes, I’d
recommend a stop.

Rubbish.

Don’t waste your time or money
Mains didn’t come together and entrees were very bland and bad quality
We approached the manager and he put it down to bad communication..?

Travel 50+km to be try this pancakes won’t be back.
Doublefatasians
Food was good but staff service is dissapointing. Asked for water from the first time we sat on the table but water were not served even until the food came (around 15mins). Repeatedly asked and finally water came when we half finish the food
Feiby Stela Mantiri
The pancakes are to-die-for! The best ever!
Natasha
Friendly staff. Very retro looking ambience and vibe. In love with the food though. But I feel they should reduce the size of their potions because I observed alot of people were not able to finish their food and it seemed like alot of food gets wasted in that manner. Hash browns are very unique and different.
Ordered cinnamon swirl pancakes. The pancake was a bit too sweet to my liking but still okay. Not too overpriced considering its location & pretty decent environment. I guess it’s a good place for some sweet treats if you are in the area visiting museums, going to theatre etc. but doesn’t really worth going just for the food’s sake.
Cynthiaeats_
Loving the new location and so is everyone else it seems. Menu is extensive but couldn’t go past the Apple Crumble and Blueberry Heaven pancakes. Pancakes were soft and fluffy and portions were VERY generous. Surprisingly the Italian Salami pizza here is also really good. Greek Salad wasn’t too bad but the dressing was a bit too sour for me.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

My thanks to Pancakes on the Rocks for the invite.

If there is ZERO star, I would give it.
We waited for our food for more than 40 mins. Everyone that ordered after us had their meal and are almost finished. We asked the wait or to check in our meal for 3 times , at first he didn't bother checking on the system and just told us that the food was coming, on the third time we asked another waitor and he said that our order was just sent out 10 mins ago.
Foood4Dayzzz
Great quality of pancakes for any situation day or night. It has an amazing amount of different pancakes with different toppings and everything. It's in a prime spot of the Rocks and I don't know of many people who have been to the rocks and not tried Pancakes on the Rocks.
Lily
Always a delight to know that they are open for 24 hours, especially when I’m having a late night craving for sweets. Service can be improved, they are usually pretty busy and occupied. The food is always a hit and miss, I’ve had great food sometimes, other times mediocre.
Vanessa
I came here for the first time for my birthday lunch. My friend and I ordered pork ribs and ribeye steak. They were so so amazing! Pork ribs were tender, chips were crunchy, steak was spot on (we liked it medium-well), salad was fresh. Now I know why it’s one of the most-loved places by the local people and travellers.
Carrie Gale
The meat is super tender and melts in you mouth and obviously the pancakes and generous with icecream and strawberries and its overall just a food coma inducing experience. It's a bit of a wait to get in because its 24/7 hours open, it's a no brainer to come late at night when everything else is closed.
Amy Christianto
The best place for a late night dessert/supper stop!
The pancakes are consistently well made, and the flavor perfectly balanced.
The service is understandably slow at peak hours, but otherwise, waiting time is not too bad.
The savory dishes are great too!
Srslyfoods
So, we stopped here to be all touristy. Food did not disappoint. The pancakes are delicious. No doubt about it. Also, portion sizes are on the large side. If you leave here hungry, there's a problem!
Steven Yuniansyah Suyanto
Pretty good pancakes and really big portion for food around 14$. Its still hot when they served it and its taste beautiful. Staff is pretty friendly because they keep making sure that the food is good.
Cheungandchives
Overall a pleasant experience, however very busy. They were very quick in giving out the pancakes! Would definitely recommend this outlet with the friendly staff!
Joyce Lorbest
My favourite pancake house!! I always order the same food every single time. The pork ribs and devil's delight are my most favourite in their menu. Great food and nice location plus they are open 24/7.
Shape 72
Wanted to give their savoury menu a try and was really quite underwhelmed. The beef ribs were nice and tender but just drenched in BBQ sauce and left am unpleasant after taste. The calamari rings were unfortunately tasteless and I would've expected something better from a restaurant so close to the harbour but homebrand rings from Coles have more flavour. Yo be honest, I wasn't expecting too much going on but was overall disappointed that they're essentially using a brand to sell their product rather than genuinely good food.

Luckily we got there early for the breakfast to start our new day of family trip. We have ordered Aussie sunrise, Strawberry Patch, Barbecue Pork Ribs, Marshmallow cocoa and English breakfast for sharing with family of 5. The food portion is big with affordable price, taste is good. Staffs are friendly and very attentive. The environment of the place is very pleasure. Will be back when travelling Sydney for next time. 😁
Wenzy
Pancakes were dry and they have diluted the sauces. Overly poorly executed and stingy.
I have no idea why where has been such a drastic change in quality!
Great Ambience, Courteous staff , Food looks amazing !Taste is also really nice but they can definitely be better with the hype around!
We ordered the garlic and herbs pizza crust, and it was unique and delicious for sure...Mushroom Crepe was also good!Chocolate pancake are too good to be true for my sugar cravings.
Rajeshri Jadhav
Amazing place for people who enjoy pancakes. They serve the best pancakes in the town. Haven't had something so yummy ever.
Pizza is decent good if you want a side that is not sweet. Coffee is up to the mark.

Sloppy and soggy diner like food . Fried dishes were swimming in oil. Quite bland in taste and took forever to serve the food as I saw it sitting on the bench top for a good 5 mins getting cold.

You feel overwhelmed, overjoyed and satisfied when your palate is delighted. This comes to my mind everytime I think of Pancakes on The Rocks. Nachos, Pizza and Pancakes I mean everything was just yum. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A must visit if you are in Sydney. What better can you get than a cozy ambiance, great service and tasty hygienic food. Just Great.
Megha Agarwal
The ambience is great, staff is sweet, food looks good. But the taste was just fine. We had the devils delight pancakes, the nachos and the garlic Nd herbs pizza crust. One disappointment- the sour cream in nachos was replaced by yoghurt...
Livia Nathania K.
Nothing special. The pancakes tasted just fine, but I frankly don’t get it why it’s so popular to the extent of being highly recommended, especially among tourists. As for the service, I think there’s a lack of waiters/waitresses in ratio with the number of customers/tables that need to be served. It took so long just to call and have a waiter come to help us.

This outlet is the Australian equivalent to IHOP. The food tastes good nothing too great or bad. Great place to go to satisfy late night desert craving. I'm giving 4 stars for the dessert pancakes and pizza. The Mexicana potato pancakes were just ok.
Whiskey N Wine
Went to the outlet to have brunch (it's a 24x7 open outlet) ordered some pancakes (they have a huge variety of these on the menu). The pancakes were good but nothing like I hadn't had before ordered Devil's delight chocolate pancakes. Nothing too good nothing too bad to say decent experience overall .
Helen
Loveeee this place! From the food to the kind staff, it satisfies your sweet tooth and leaves an amazing experience. I came here so many times with friends and family. Although the pancakes can come off a bit too sweet, it’s still delicious and the mushroom crepe is to die for! Coming here is worth it
Sashank Harrison Co-Co
Everything was perfect except the pizza, I didn’t like the base and salami didn’t taste good!! Pancakes are the best !! I would recommend it though!

I tried their 🥞 pancakes 2 years ago, but I didn’t enjoy it as it was too sweet. But this time, everything is quite balance!

We Guorium🧪 don’t wanna have too many sweet so we only ordered one single pancake. That’s a really good choice.

Pork ribs are okay, standard, not as sweet as Hurricane Grill. But feel there was not as many meat as Hurricane Grill ribs.

Mushroom 🍄 Crepe nice 👍 and yummy 😋 highly recommend!

The guy from the reception are unfriendly at all! Lol 😆
Foodblogs
Have been coming to this venue a few times.
Quite popular tourist destination.
Their Pancakes are pretty good and generously portioned. I’m not really a fan of their savoury dishes however.
Guorium🧪
The service was a bit awkward at first. Just awkward... Xihuahua 🐶 cringed at the start haha!Anyway the food was excellent! I think their cooking changed a bit over the years. The pork ribs was kinda wholesome, not too heavy on sauce. Value is not too good tho. The mushroom crepes was good on the inside but the topping mushroom with cream just feels raw! The single pancake was great value and taste! Big round pancake with maple syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, yummy!
Eunifoodie
Best thing about this place is that it’s opened 24hrs! I recommend their chicken Caesar salad in terms of savoury options. The choc and vanilla surprise is a great option for pancakes if you can’t decide whether you want chocolate or vanilla pancakes

This place was recommended by one of the people I met on my Sydney bridge climbing exercise..
And boy this place is awesome..
Food - 4.5/5 .. everything that we ordered was received quick looked very good and tasted very nice..food quality is no doubt excellent..
Ambiance- 3.5/5 .. a simple ambiance nothing fancy but nice neat and clean..
Staff - 4/5.. Helpful and Cheerful..
A gem of a cafe light on your wallet good service super tasty food nice music.. what else you want.. Recommended..

Delicious food! Pretty good service even though it’s always packed and a really sweet spot to eat, views aren’t amazing considering how good they could be in that area but the place itself looks nice enough and the pancakes are pretty dang awesome. Good milkshakes too

A 24-hour diner in the heart of the Rocks. Great menu selection with a variety of savoury and sweet options to choose from at reasonable prices.

Pancakes were average but very filling, good servings for the price. However, one of the waitresses was very rude when we needed to pay the bill.

Good place to eat though if you’re craving something sweet in the city after a night out.

Pictured below: bananarama crepes & vanilla and choc surprise🍫
Mitha Komala | @mithakomala
The best 24 hours place you could ever ask for ☺️❤️ because they range from savoury to sweet dishes with the best pancakes ever! My favourite is their strawberry cream cheese crepes and original crepes with additional nutella sauce, choc sauce, choc & vanilla ice cream 😍😍
Sophia Peach
The pancakes there is quite filling and I love the chocolate & cherrie flavor. It is just sad to see the price keep going up since 2013. By far the beef ribs is my favorite.

I've eaten before at Pancakes on the rocks at Northmead and since then I've been a fan of them. Recently, we celebrated our birthday there and there's a promo where the celebrant gets a free meal. We ordered pork and beef ribs, the rib eye steak and brisket. The food was really great except for the steak which I think is not as good as the other ones. The ambiance in this branch is not as welcoming as the northmead. One of the female waitstaff keeps on getting the plates even if we're not yet done. She seems to be in a hurry and it felt like we're being pushed away. Fortunately, the other guy waitstaff is super welcoming. Overall, the food was great but the service can be improved.
JZ
Food was average and baffling why people would want an American diner experience while in one of the most historical, classic areas of Sydney. The pancakes were kind of soggy and the flavours aren’t creative at all for a pancakes place. However, since this place is open 24 hours I can see how it would serve as the perfect end to a night out.
John Lxc
Bad milkshake, ‘ the ultimate pancake ‘ ice cream inferior, too sour. Overall foods were just average. Will not go second time. Please do improve overtime in food quality
Meha
Plastic at pancakes 🙈 Much awaited we went here with expectations of a great meal, but were quite disappointed. For starters we ordered a vegetarian nachos, followed by three individual savoury crepe’s and a Nutella pancake stack for dessert. The savoury crepe’s were barely satisfactory, the dishes lacked flavour and I would not recommend ordering much of the savoury menu. To top it off, we found two long pieces of plastic in one of the savoury crepe’s! The manager was apologetic and deducted the dish from the bill but the meal was ruined for us. The pancake stack itself was delicious but I would not return here as it definitely wasn’t worth the amount we paid for taste or quality of food.
Previous visits were good a year ago before relocating to Melbourne. Has always felt that Pancakes on the Rocks were way better than Pancake Parlour. The variety available, prices of pancakes and the fluffiness of them.

POTR pancakes were $16 and PP pancakes were generally $20. I actually love the chocolate ones alot more, PP only had 1 pancake dish that has it and its $20 with only 1 slice of pancake. I can’t even top up for another as they only buttermilk.

However this trip up to Sydney, the chocolate pancake was good but the buttermilk version was so dense and heavy. I bought the takeaway chocolate pancake mix home.
Funkyvirus.neelu
The red bricks and yellow light won't make you feel like you are about to be served the delish pancakes and pizzas but they do :) being a vegetarian I went in for the eggplant pizza which didn't sound or taste like an eggplant (which was great) and vanilla and chocolate pancakes which were finished off as soon as they arrived :)
Janice Esloyo
Pancakes were really sweet. I had the peanut butter pancakes and I could barely finish half of it. Service is hurried and very impersonal. It’s quite on the expensive side so if you’re planning to try this just for the sake of the experience I’d give it a miss.
Rraulrn
Great environment, good service but the pancakes have no flavor, too junky. The farmers crepes filled with potatoes and the others flavors were non existent.
William
The entire strand of restaurants have gone downhill compared to a few years ago.
The food is less tasty and it’s getting quite old.
The pancakes are great as usual
Olivia
Have cosy place to eat pancakes with friends. The price is so so. For the crepes seafood the taste is not what i expected but overall is good
Veda
Went with a bunch of students on a Saturday night, the place was bustling with visitors and seemed pretty full. We ordered the Apple-cinnamon stack of pancakes which were decent.

The pizza, however was quite disappointing as it was low on flavour and taste.
Aarohi Misra
Pancakes on the rocks was a nice place but unfortunately the food wasn't as good as the place looked, I'd give it a miss. The staff was friendly.
Candace Chan
Awful service! We asked for refilling the tea they gave us extremely hot water in the plastic cap. The hot water made the plastic melt and the water tasted plastic infused! They tried to take our food away before we finish it 😡 the food was average as the crepe was burnt! If I could give negative star I would!
Al&Val
Went during Vivid so there was a long waiting line that trailed down the stairs. Once in, staff were friendly and service was quick. Crepes were average but the pancakes were very more-ish. Always going to go back for those pancakes!
Jake
Fast and adequate service. The food, however, was underwhelming at best. For a restaurant who’s famous for pancakes, it was very disappointing to be served 3 beautiful pancakes, that lacked the flavour and moisture they have been so well known for. A lot of higher quality pancakes/creperies for a fairer price.
Isabelldc
Tried the most popular pancakes in Sydney. I ordered Eggplant pizza, Blueberry Pancakes, The ultimate , hot cappucino and hot marshmallow cocoa.
First of all the pizza was thin crust and it was real good, the cheesy pizza balance with the moist eggplants, onions and mushroom. The Blueberry pancakes was good its quite light and the sauce was sweet and sour. Most of all my favorite was The ultimate pancakes which has a good amount of cream cheese and sultanas filling glazed with raspberry sauce. Oh yes this was really good.
All of the foods and drinks cost me around 77 dollars. Their service was good but the space was not too big.

Enjoy!!

I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and found the whole experience super enjoyable. We were seated in the upstairs portion of the restaurant and served quite promptly. The food portions were huge, despite the fact that they were slightly more expensive than typical restaurants. The actual pancakes were so delicious. We tried a huge variety of flavours, and each of them were super impressive. The presentation was homey, yet very artistic. The meals and the pizza were also very tasty. It was definitely a great feed and all of us were left extremely satisfied. I was very impressed by the service. It's also within the vicinity of the harbour, so you can relax, wind down and take a walk nearby after a big meal here.

Saw the que outside the place and was in mood to wait as it looked like it will take more than an hour to get in. Thankfully my husband was patient and insisted to wait as it was our first visit to Sydney and he absolutely didn't want to miss such a place. We got our table for 6 in just 20 mins. We tried only pan cakes and coffee and didn't feel like having dinner that day. So yummy and full of flavours. Description to each item in the menu was precise and appropriate. We ordered 3 pan cakes and came out fully satisfied. The staff has to and given credit here to manage everything so swiftly that wait was less as it seemed. And the taste made it worth the wait time.
Salma Syifaya
I’ve ordered the strawberry patch, the ultimate and the regular stacks with mapple syrup and ice cream. The pancakes are so thick and fluffy. The strawberries are very fresh and the ice cream on the top of pancakes very delicious. My favorite one is the ultimate which has cream cheese inside the pancakes.
Garry Huang
Very popular but I always considered the place a bit of a tourist trap tbh. It’s very well known among Chinese tourists and is very convenient since it is one of very few restaurants open 24hrs. However the food is quite expensive and really underwhelming. The pancakes are nice, fluffy and buttery but the chocolate ones are a bit dense for my liking. The icecream is not even good, the vanilla is literally something you can get out of a supermarket homebrand tub, and it makes the pancakes really soggy and unbelievably sweet. Would be ok if it wasn’t $25. The real tasty winner at Pancakes on the Rocks is the ribs. They are succulent and tender and full of flavour. However they do cost quite a bit; $30 or more...
Ed
I love the fact it's open 24 hours but I wouldn't go there in the middle of the day.
The deserts look promising and large but their taste is so-so and that's based on few different times I went there over the years.
Jamie Ku
I know I'm indulged and spoiled by my man who brought me to various value-for-money restaurants (both reasonably priced and pricier ones), but there's no excuse for this overly-famed restaurant to serve blueberry sauce that's tasteless with a surcharge of $AUD4 for extra sauce on the side.

The original pancakes are buttery and relatively fluffy, yet the mediocre ice-creams make all the wonders vaporized in an instant.

The popular chocolate-themed Devils Delight is so-so...at least there is taste of chocolate and the strawberries are fresh. However, my dining experience is contrasted with Auntie's fresh strawberries from Harris Farm for AUD$2 a box.

Last but not the least, my heartfelt gratitude for Auntie's late night company despite her tiredness :)
Ame
A bit hard to find if you’re in Rocks, but away from all the tourist crowd. Still, people have managed to find it and I’ve waited in a few queues. However, their variety of pancakes was great and I absolutely love the Macadamia one. The staff was great and there was ample amount of seating in this outlet at the Rocks. Fast service and good seating.
Eric Tompson
Loooved the pancakes, and there's so much choice of extras/combinations as well as entirely different meals that there will be something to satisfy everyone here. Also, I know this is probably nothing gourmet, but the maple syrup is incredible. Highly recommended breakfast restaurant (though they are open 24 hours).
Jeannie June Kurniawan
One of my best place to eat pancakes in Sydney! Their ribs and crepes also my fav! I choose the beef and pork ribs with ham and cheese crepes. Generous with the cheese and portion
Virgil
The food is average but I enjoy the ambience of this Pancakes on the Rocks. It's a bit more comfortable with the booths than cold open floor tables but this place gets stars for being open for those late night cravings.
Liz
Really good food and really great service. The meals were served quick. Pancakes were alright but the rib eye steak and the ribs were excellent. Would definitely comeback to try more of the menu
Karan Rawat
One of the few places open all day! I visited the place around late noon and the place had a waiting for 20mins. Once I got the table the order was taken quickly but the service was quite slow. I had to wait for 35mins for my order.
I had order a steak and the devils delight pancakes. The steak was well done and perfect to my liking. The pancakes were very filling and can be shared with a person. Although the prices are high, the quantity makes up for it. Located at the end of the rocks close to circular quay with a view of the harbor bridge and opera house.

the service was fast. as we came inside, the staff directed us straight away to the table. i came around 10pm so i just want something light to eat, but then i ended up ordered the famous pancake and tried out the margaritha. the food came quite fast. the portion is big. the chocolate pancake was really good, its fudgy, its so chocolaty, cant say no more, totally agree that the chocolate pancakes are really good like seriously good. Reasonable food at somewhat reasonable prices considering the location. We came on a public holiday so the prices were inflated by 10%-20% over normal costs. The prices weren't as terrible as I would expect from somewhere in this touristy area, but were on the high side. However there is no view, and barely even windows, it feels like you are in a cave.

Food was reasonably good, although some portions seemed very small (e.g. calamari). The ribs didn't taste of proper smoky BBQ, but were nice and tender. The pizza was actually pretty good (although smaller than I expected) but actually contained good ingredients (e.g. anchovies). The kids menu has lots of options for clever pancake designs.

Service was good, very attentive and friendly
Kirk Harris
Pancakes are good but the menu hasn’t changed since I first came here 20 years ago!! Service was quite friendly which made the experience that much better. Spent $44 for to pancake dishes and 2 coffee’s so price wasn’t an issue. Servings were large as neither of us finished which is a plus! The two big factors that pushed this from a 3 to a 4 were the friendly staff and the fact that they were open at 0600 on a public holiday. They are actually open 24/7 - 365 days.
Roxy Xie
the pancake here is really tasty!this place is near the rocks market,it is great to take a work after dinner ~ gonna come here again, but the service need to improve!

Wow I'm impressed!!!
Totally in love with their seafood crepes 😍 The pancakes were alright 😊 Staff were super attentive, and they smiled all the time even though it was so busy on a Sunday's night (on Easter as well)!
My phone ran out of battery so I got no photos of food 😭 (I'll add later when I come back next time!) Anyway I did take some photos of the setting of the restaurant (nice ambience btw!) and the entrance 😁
Definitely coming back to try the rest on their menu 😍
Tanya
I can’t resist the pancakes here! They are sooooo damn thick and fluffy and the toppings make it even better. I haven’t ever tried the savoury options since I’m a sucker for their bananarama. If you’re into thick batter pancakes you definitely have to give these a go.
Charlie And Ko Reviews
Delicious food, fluffy pancakes, rich toppings. The serving sizes were generous and the milkshakes too big to consume. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here, the ambiance was nice and the service friendly. Only thing is the sweet pancakes were very rich.

Ate a Northmead location with a few coworkers last night.
Great service! The Pizza was great! The fish basket was great, the nachos were ok but could have has a bit more guacamole and salsa.
But unfortunately 3 of us ordered the Thai Chicken Crepes. Some sort of mush in soggy crepes with no tangible Thai flavours.
Serves us right to expect Thai food from a pancake restaurant.
Won't keep me from going back, just need to realize where I am and order accordingly.

It seems to be the most popular restaurant in Sydney. There are always lines outside so if you want to be seated quickly, making reservations is recommended. I usually go there for beef ribs because it is yummy and full sized. Though it is called Pancakes, pancakes there are much inferior to the beef ribs. Their beef ribs are actually the best seller.

Too famous to comment on anything. The overall food and service is nice, the only problem is it’s too popular that always long queue outside with some empty tables inside. Guess they are understaffed so they can’t serve all customers at one time.

Negative experience. Came here at 1:30pm on Saturday. Restaurant was not even busy and there were plenty of empty tables, but still took us 10 minutes to be seated. Waiters were blasé and pushy for us to leave.

Food was very mediocre, and definitely not value for money. The eggplant pizza ($15.95) was a wimpy looking thing, a few thin slivers of bland vegetables, atop a flat, dry crust. Struggled to find or taste the eggplant.

Wanted to order the HotnTroppo pancakes ($14.95) but the waiter mistook our order and we were served the Chocolate Vanilla Surprise instead. When we asked for a replacement, the waiter only offered us the additional toppings as sides, for which we were charged an additional $5.50. Pancakes themselves were the only thing that contributed to this 1-star rating - not too dense, not too sweet, but still nothing to rave about either.

Overall a disappointing experience, marred by poor customer service and sub-standard food. Won’t be back.

Came here after a fun night of learning at the observatory. Great all night place with a fun vibe.
Loved the pork ribs here! And of course, the Nutella pancakes!
Mains were decent. A little pricey. Dessert was ok. At times too sweet. One time I got the lemon meringue pancake. Regretted it. Fake lemon sauce and store brought meringue crushed up. The staff at the Rocks outlet very professional.
