We went here after a work outing and had a range of platters to share; meats; steak, sausages and more as well as seafood platters. The food was outstanding, better than expected from looking at the menu.
Had lunch here one day whilst in Sydney.
Customer service was good, we were met with a friendly greeting upon arrival and told to sit where we please.
We ordered a couple of burgers with drinks. The burgers were really nice and the beer battered chips were even better.
The location and views were the highlight. A great spot to take in the beauty of the harbour whilst enjoying an excellent meal.
Good food with a great view of the Harbour Bridge and the Quay.
The Salmon is an excellent dish with the skin cooked to perfect crispy level. The beetroot purée base adds a salty sour tinge and makes the dish grounded.
The Chancer Golden Ale with a fruity aroma and shadowed bitterness is an excellent brew and goes well with the seafood.
A perfect stop if you want to enjoy the view of the harbour no doubt. Looked after from the beginning until the end thanks to the super great and hospitable Anthea. Love you Sydney, yours truly Melbourne
Good place. Tasty food. Enjoyed the night with colleagues over here. Price is very sensible.
Location is grand!
Service is smooth.
Wide variety of general cuisine. We had a burger, pizza and a schnitzel along with some drinks. Overall good experience. Thank you!
Walking on the road of Opera House, Sydney; came across this place with a very scenic and pleasant ambience it’s actually an open restaurant with perfect view of Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge . Checked it’s rating on zomato which was very low but this place had a better menu so thought of trying it. Ordered 5 items from their menu,
1. Lemon lime bitters- This rare combination of lemon and lime with bitters is a Aussie favourite drink and also a perfect start to the meal. This has a strong smell of bitters and woody taste is very refreshing. It’s a must try!!
2. Upsidedown Merlot - This fruity and sweet wine was smooth enough to make you get upsidedown :P just kidding.. it was elegant and rich in taste
3. Onion Rings - These were quite basic in taste.. could have been better but can’t blame the chef, as onion rings are nothing but onions fried in flour.
4. Beer battered Fish - This will definitely make your mouth drool into its beer and fish taste.. we tried it with fries but this can also be sided by salad. Also can be enjoyed with Tabasco sauce. It’s a Must try!!
5. Crispy skinned Chicken Wings - Served with mashed potato, dint taste that good. In mashed potato, cheese and potato weren’t properly blend.. and the chicken tasted very bland.. couldn’t have more than a bite of it..

I went in there and ordered The Swindler schnitzel and it was sensational. I incorrectly ordered a pizza that was not to my wife’s dietary requirements and was not too late to adjust the order. They were so nice about fixing this without making the experience poor. All food was sensational. Got a great pub feed and was pleasantly happy with all the food. Both my feed and ladies was on point. Customer experience was sensational. Recommend this place for sure.
Spanish chicken pizza was crispy enough on the bottom and was tasty. Nothing too special about the wagyu beef salad except for the dried sweet potato shreds that add crispiness and a little fun to it. About the salmon skewers, my friend and I got to share the plate evenly thanks to a conspiratorial guest with wings who took one away and shared it with its friends.
This place has a perfect ambience to hang out with friends while having a good view of the harbour. They have a range of beers to choose from so you will surely fit in whatever type of drinker you are. And oh, the wedges are to die for.
amazing food and super fast. beautiful view and lovely staff! food was tasty and well cooked! large selection of drinks and easy ordering process! love love love it here
Wonderful service, atmosphere and food. The effort the staff go to make your night wonderful is mind blowing. Great for families and groups of friends.
Nice views of circular quay. The food was delicious. We had calamari, the prawn salad and scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly. I would have to say The main down fall to this place was the slow service.
Great food. Had the burger of the day which was surf and turf... Highlight??? The truffle mayo! Burger was well cooked and the fries delicious! Beer a bit expensive but you are on the quay! Do yourself a favour!
We came here for a quick drink before we had to fly out back to Melbourne. The husband had a cider and I had lemon lime bitters. They were nice but service was a bit slow.
We were going to try some of the food but considering there was only one waiter, we decided the wait might be too long. We couldn't afford to miss our flights waiting for food ... although they sounded amazing. Maybe for next time.
Great spot with a magic view of the harbor bridge - a few berry mojitos and a pulled pork burger with bacon...just delicious - good spot to kick back
Such a busy and crowded place but it makes sense because it's got an amazing view of the harbour bridge and ferries. I got the pumpkin and spinach salad with agnolotti pasta. It was so fresh and herbaceous, I just wish there was more sundries tomatoes. Service here is quick
Good Food, service was fast, tasty seafood, enjoyed the crispy skin on my Salmon, great place for a meal and Sunday afternoon beer with a view of Circular Quay and the bridge, would definitely go back there again when in Sydney!!
Good fish and chips. Was on special at $16. Very good value. Served with two fish fillets and ample fries. The added bonus of the views of the Quay are great on a sunny day. Make sure to catch the special from Mon-Fri until 4pm.
I had a delightful lunch on Wednesday 30th which was crispy skin salmon, the delightful part of the lunch was that the salmon was cooked perfectly to my liking plus the summer salad, the not perfect part of the lunch was that the skin wasn't at all crispy.
Amazing view and great food // Inside has a combination of booths and tables as well as a fireplace making it extremely cosy and relaxing.. The food here is surprisingly good and not overpriced. I had the baby calamari salad dish which was amazing. It had mixed salad, cucumber, papaya, cashews and fried anchovies pieces(?) and of course perfectly cooked and seasoned baby calamari. The dressing was a tangy, sweet and spicy sauce, and the addition of papaya gave that extra crunch.
I will definitely be coming back again and next time for dinner and drinks.
Tip: choose a seat inside unless you're okay with seagulls stealing your fish straight off your plate (yes. That did happen to a friend)
It was a lovely sunny day and being so close to the ocean, the boyfriend felt like eating oysters. It seemed like this place had it for the cheapest so we just ate here for them. Since I'm vego I chose these mushroom truffle (balls?). Turned out that these foods were so good, especially with beer. The service is pretty good and the restaurant is dim and relaxing. Totally recommend coming here for dinner and drinks !
I visited the city over the busy long weekend whilst Vivid Sydney was on. Needless to say, Circular Quay was packed, and finding an eatery or bar without a line-up proved challenging. My father and I had enjoyed a light dinner earlier, so were now after a drink with a view. As I entered Buckley's, I noticed that it was full of people and several tables had 'reserved' cards on them. I'd almost given up hope of finding a spot, when a friendly staff member directed me to one of the tables which appeared to be reserved. Upon inspection of the menu, I couldn't resist indulging in a sweet treat. The Dark Chocolate Mousse with mascarpone and cherries lived up to my expectations, and was presented beautifully. Prime location and great interior.
Better than expected. Was dragged in reluctantly after reading few reviews about it being for tourist who know no better well for a tourist from Melbourne which is known for it food the duck spring rolls where the very tasty but expensive as was the squid which was very tender esp compared to very expensive restaurant in Sydney s Chinatown that I had lunch at the next day.
Very much a tourist trade kind of eatery. In, eat and out. A good place to people watch and from what I experienced, good service (by tourists/backpackers). I enjoyed the food. A little pricey though.
Great location, great food, great service and all up a great experience. Probably a little pricey but I guess the location demands that :)
