A very nice roaster's cafe hidden in Sydenham, although I just got a coffee and got out. Great coffee, a little overpriced and on the edge of being too hot but really rich and heavy, likely the best in these parts.
While looking around Precinct 75 for the first time I spotted Sample Coffee Roasters flagship store. Definitely much bigger than their hole in the wall in Surry Hills. Unfortunately they were just closing so I didn't get a chance to have a coffee but managed to get a takeaway Chocolate brownie ($4) which was very moist and yummy.
Went here for a coffee after gym and it is notorious for some
great brews. The latte was smooth with a delicious flavour and beautiful latte art. They sell cold drip and a range of blends. They also sell products like filters, beans etc.
In an industrial area near galleries so you do have to look for it, small entrance. I also got a small friand which was freshly baked and a nice size to have with the coffee. Not a great deal of food, but certainly good for a coffee.
We stumbled across this little coffee shop while exploring the rather impressive creative complex. We found the staff to be welcoming, the menu was simple but full of desirable dishes. We'd already had breakfast so just enjoyed a coffee which was brewed to perfection.
Great coffee and food in a spacious and modern cafe. Tucked away in the back streets of St Peters- perfect if you're headed to Willie the Boatman or Precinct 75!
Small local cafe with good coffee and friendly staff. Breakfast menu doesnt have a big variety. They use bon soy for their soy milk which is always a bonus.
Coffee with a side of axe throwing? All is possible at Precinct 75 in St Peters where cafes, axe throwing and craft beer coexist in a happy jumble of creative goodness. We were very impressed with this cafe, where the emphasis is on the coffee but a simple menu is also on offer. The coffee was very good and our avocado and feta on toast was a simple dish well done. We shared this and they were really kind, splitting it into two serves for us - as you can see, it was a very generous size. If you're feeling hyped after your coffee, you can work it off with some axe throwing at Maniax next door ...

Sample Coffee
I made it on time to the Sample Coffee Pro Shop. Whatever PRO stands for, the espresso bar of this beautiful artisanal roastery is absolutely stunning.
It is located in an old-new factory 🏭 building that has been beautifully renovated. You will also find a brewery, or design and furniture shops next to the roastery.
The interior design is simple and minimalistic: exposed concrete, tiles, wooden tables and chair 🪑. I especially like the high ceiling with the industrial lights hanging down.
Today I enjoyed two beautiful coffees from Africa: a Si for origin espresso from Rwanda 🇷🇼 and a filter coffee from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. There are many beautiful coffee, architecture and design magazines to read on the tables.
You should definitely also have a look 👀 into the roastery: you will spot two roasters… guess which one is my favorite. I was also very tempted to take the Yamaha motorcycle 🏍 for a ride… fortunately I behaved.
This place is another great example of how you can turn a simple coffee place into an experience and combine architecture, industrial design, interior design with coffee.
Perfect spot on a rainy day. We enjoyed the menu selection, music and space. Plus wonderful service of course! Hoping to return when our beans run out.
Wharehouse style cafe with great vibes. The breakfast was good. Coffee is roasted on site and worth tasting. 8/10
The waitress was friendly and explained the different food and coffee accordingly. It’s hard to find at first, but worth finding in the end.
Amazing cold brew and espresso soft serve. The toastie was delicious also. Relaxed and easygoing staff. Great vibe. The cafe is located in a precinct with some cool shops.
I'm a big fan of Sample. Their coffee is delicious and if you are a hobbyist, you can buy a range of espresso and filter beans that are consistently fresh. The cafe has spacious and modern industrial interiors, making it the ideal place for catch ups.
Bangin single origin and they even made it in a flat white for me
