I've eaten here more times than I can count and everything I've tried it great! My favourite would be the stewed pork belly on noodles with cucumber, yum!!!! The ginger pork noodle soup is great too as is the ginger pork with rice. Simple, delicious fare, no fuss service and a good price. Love it!
As a Taiwanese, it enables me to taste local and tasteful Taiwanese food even in Foreign country. Every time, when I come to city, it's my first choice to have lunch.
I would like to recommend the beverages, you can have a lower price with food. Take away is also a good choice. The food is served quickly but the fried pork is not what I expected coz it’s not hot and without too much flavour.
Quick and gente service, generous and tasty portions. All MFG free. I've had the beef braised noodle soup and both the meat and veggies tasted great, and i could not finish the huge portion they brought!
went here for lunch date. place was of full of customers but we got our food quickly. my fav was the egg pancake was very crispy and tasty. the special fish soup was great value for money!!
Sunflower feels like it has been there forever
Apart from Essen it feels like the others next to them on the same street don't last
So they must be doing something right
It's a small place and I don't think it's wheelchair accessible
You order at the counter and seating is limited so no big groups in here
Me and Food_Rampage_AM @INSTA ordered by recommendations on the menu
Pork schnitzel for me,Al ginger pork soup. We shared sum entrees,Taiwanese sausage and, from memory, soy stewed pork
My pork schnitzel was ok,2 small fried boneless pieces, nothing special but what came with it like pork mince on top of the rice and this coleslaw were really nice.
Al's dish looked huge
Al was right, the Taiwanese sausage was similar to Chinese sausage but I liked the Taiwanese version more, its texture was nice and it had more flavour to it
The soy pork was nice and soft and tasty
Food came out at a reasonable rate and prices are reasonable also
I liked this place more than I should and I'm not sure why

Ginger pork noodle soup 4/5, served generously in a large bowl with plenty of piping hot belly warming broth, one of the best (hand-pulled?) noodles i have tasted in a long time. Fine tune your meal with the free sauces chillies condiments available.
Taiwanese sausage 3.5/5, didnt look like much until i took a bite and almost couldnt stop. A bit like chinese/hongkong-ese sausage (lap cheong) but way softer. Please dont ask me to choose which is better.
Soy braised pork belly 3.75/5, sliced thinly melt in your mouth goodness this was, only social decorum and self restraint stopped me from polishing this off by meself esp when the i got the meal shouted by my good dining companion.
Company 4.75/5, minus 0.25 for not letting me eat everything!! 😄 Thanks SydguyRoj.
Attentive service, good food and mediocre drink. Ordered their signature crispy chicken fillet for $6.50 and it was super yummy. Self serve condiments and water are a given. The passionfruit smoothie for $4.80 was ok, don't think ill buy it again. Happy to come again.
This place is definitely value for money. Portions are large and flavourful, but the lower food quality is noticeable e.g. Cuts of meat used compared to t+ or din tai fung.
The drinks taste as good as any other place and are discounted if you buy a meal ^_^
- also short walk from usyd.
Simple food done well. And Taiwan bubble tea that has clear tea flavours rather than sugar overload.
A couple of nice Vegetarian options.
You can order the cold noodles with sesame sauce without the ham. A real Taiwan tradition.
They also have DouGan or marinated tofu as a side dish if wanting a protein hit.
Very reasonable prices.
Tea egg is nice for the Ovo veg. Makes me think of cold mornings in the Taiwan mountains ... Can smell the tea aroma from down the street.
This little cafe is much nicer inside than it presents on the outside. It's also air conditioned providing a cool retreat from the summer heat.
We enjoyed a selection of Taiwanese drinks including a hot longan ginger tea, iced green tea and pudding milk tea.
Good, cheap Asian meal with some notable dishes. Namely the sunflower special beef noodle soup and the pork mince dry noodle. Good for a quick lunch and priced well for students
Nothing beats cheap, fast and wholesome food when you're a poor uni student. The menu offers great choice for single diners as there are also a selection of cold dishes for $5.
We tried the pork chop rice and braised beef noodles. Portion sizes are great for the price and there are plenty of veggies to go with the proteins. Flavours are not mind blowing but it definitely leaves you satisfied. Being Taiwanese, they also serve the popular pearl milk tea and other variations of cold drinks.
The venue is small but most people eat and vacate with food arriving within minutes of ordering so there is rarely any wait. There isn't any eftpos on site so bring cash.
Fabulous taiwanese food!. Came here for lunch and had the salmon with rich, which was delicious. The service was good and the prices are cheap too. The atmosphere was great as well.
This place is a staple for work lunches. The crispy chilli chicken is loaded with garlic and flavour while a selection of 3 plates of different dumplings is a must.
Not bad at all. Had duck giblets, crumbed chicken on rice and boiled dumplings in chili oil. Quite tasty, authentic taiwanese cuisine. Worth a shot.

Authentic. It taste authentic but food was slightly cold for my liking. I had the mince pork rice.
Top marks to one of the best seafood noodle soups in town.
I've consistently ordered this over the last 2 years and enjoy it with the red and green bean smoothie. Great balance!
Not sure about "gourmet". We've only been here once, so can only talk about what we ordered. The pan-fried dumplings were not the best. They looked great, but I've had better. I am not sure if the regular dumplings would have been a better bet.
However, the Sunflower beef noodle soup (not to be confused with the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, which has a different cut of beef) was delicious. The broth was light but flavorful. The beef was tender. The bowl was enormous. Definitely consider sharing this with someone.
We also got the spiced eggs--a bargain at $3 for 3 eggs. Simple but delicious.
The spicy chicken with rice was okay. Deep-fried, so a bit greasy. But it also comes with rice, a side of corn and vegetables.
The place is pretty small. The decor is pretty casual. Don't come here if you're trying to impress a date. But do come if you miss certain Taiwanese food.
Delicious Taiwanese food. They have crepes and galettes as well which are pretty good too. I love the rice with stewed beef, barbecue pork and ginger pork. Always worth visiting when I am close by!
Sweet & savoury treat. A very decent place, small but cosy Asian ice-creamery, sweet and savoury crepes... very good value and so affordable! recommended for light meals and desserts, all the ingredients are fresh too.
This is an odd little place, serving Chinese & Taiwanese savouries, sweet and savoury crepes, ice-cream and a selection of drinks. I had a sweet crepe - banana and chocolate. Very yummy. Also had a green tea latte, which was delicious. There are some pretty adventurous flavours in the crepes, such as black sesame, red bean and lychee. A great fusion of Asian and western flavours. A really fun little cafe!
Delicious and perfect food. In house made dumplings are plump, fresh and so tasty and some of the best I've had. Don't forget to ask for the home made chilli. Service is polite and professional in a clean and comfy space. A weekly go to for our office. I can highly recommend.
We had dinner at this restaurant before going to a musical. The food was very delicious, especially the prawns & scallops. The ambience/ atmosphere was great, cozy and elegant. The mochi cake for dessert wasn’t as good as I thought, but overall loved the experience.
Sadly, I couldn’t take any photos of the great dinner experience.
We ordered the shared entree, the rib eye and chicken with sprouts (I believe) as mains and it was all delicious.
The waiters took really good care of us and made sure all went smoothly.
10/10 recommended and will definitely be going back.
Excellent authentic Taiwanese food! So glad we finally visited. Lovely service and attentive staff with a calming and relaxing environment. Highly recommend the banquet for 3 people and you must have the tender beef! Good food portions and be careful not to over order :) Will be back.
We dined with Muriel and the team again on Saturday 2/4 and, unsurprisingly, we were blown away again by the service, atmosphere and the food. We had the banquet and every dish that was served was fresh, with beautiful flavours. The meal was bountiful and the wine we chose was an equal match for the meal. This restaurant is highly recommended for any occasion - romantic, business or family celebration, all you have to do is book and be amazed.
We always love coming here and on a cold Tuesday night this week we were not disappointed. Warm and welcoming Muriel and her team are marvellous. All the food is delicious, the dumplings, crispy bean curd roll stuffed with chicken mince & water chestnuts are consistent favourites amongst many others, and of course always the pork belly. A new dish of braised cabbage with bacon bits was a hit too. Don't usually have room for dessert but this time winter appetites were able to fit in rice cakes and house made ice cream. So yummy and a good choice of reasonably priced wines. So lucky to have this restaurant in our 'hood. Tkyu Muriel, Lorraine & George.
