Best mocha in sydney or the one that i have had.
The spinach and feta wrap is amazing too , just ask to add fresh chilli and bbq sauce and thank me later.
Salads are quite good too.
It’s been an amazing place. Good food with great service and good prices.
Ordered - Margarita Pizza with Sangria Pitcher with Caper Tomato Spaghetti. It was great food with decent quantity. Would surely recommend the place
Vesta is one of the more popular cafes along Darling Quarter, situated right below two corporate offices, and every morning at around 9 you will see the line just growing and growing for morning coffee. The few times I have had coffee from here I've had mixed results. Sometimes the coffee is great, others it's not great. I enjoy the breakfast wraps from here for sure, and they have a decently filling bacon and egg roll. Service is usually very very friendly and the staff always greets you with a smile on their faces. Sometime the service can be a little slow, but considering they are dealing with huge lines... it's really understandable. I quite enjoy the eggs benedict, or the spinach and egg wraps, and the pizzas from Vesta :)
Updated: Decent coffee here and the staff is pretty nice. Good for a quick bite for brekky but be careful what you pick, some hits and misses.
Good things to get is the ham cheese croissant, peanut butter bread (though sometimes the server is stingy with peanut butter) and the chilli fried chicken wrap. Banana bread is decent pick but a bit on the small side. Sometimes the staff messes with your order and u get the wrong thing
Convenient location in darling quarter is a plus.
Coffee was good but would ask for extra strong next time. location great I darling harbour on way to ferry. . Good selection of pastries. Friendly helpful service.
Vesta is a favourite as I work nearby Mon to Friday.
Coffee is always good. Food so-so. Service can be great but hit and miss, depending on the staff on the day.
Good range of salads but I think the winning thing about Vesta is it's location and the coffee.
A few extra steps away from Darling Harbour proper toward Chinatown is Vesta. If you have seen it all before and DH is a bit passé then this may be a good choice to be in the precinct but once removed. It's a typical cafe with plate prices a few dollars less than those that look into the water. My poached eggs (a little over done) and avocado with balsamic was very taste and the coffee was decent also. A few trees and away from the noise does the trick on Sunday morning.
Had breakfast there: had the muesli - really delicious, large serving. Excellent value for money. Service was great. Was able to order a side of chorizo and scrambled eggs too which were crispy and creamy respectively.
Ate a late lunch there today after a long city walking tour. Had their steak sandwich, fries, and treated myself to a Peroni beer. Service was efficient and quick due to the late lunch hour. Steak was actually fairly thick slices of sirloin steak. They had been cooked to medium well but strangely were not hot. The steak was smothered in some type of BBQ sauce which may have helped to cool the meat off. Steak was tender and tasty but more warmth would have improved it. Fries were fresh and hot. Beer was served at proper temperature.
Lovely dinner! Food was great and staff were attentive and hospitable.
I chose the omelette for brunch and it was amazing. I absolutely loved the tomato relish. It had a bit of kick but just enough to linger subtly. The sourdough was hot and fresh and the omelette itself was generous in ingredients and it wasn't too over seasoned. Especially with chorizo, it can get a little too salty but it was delicious.
In the ever-modernising precinct of Darling Quarter, restaurants have a bit of implied imperative to be just that little bit more decorated with respect to their service, the food and trappings. Vesta Italian hails as an example of these new breed of restaurants cropping up in the district, but does it deliver on the goods?
The first dish to arrive were the Seared Scallops, cauliflower puree, lemon crumble (above) which I have to say was presented very well and tasted just as good as it looked, the scallops are served with squid ink on the side and are slightly raw on the inside but have a nice soft texture. Pork Ribs, balsa
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
+4.5
Vesta is one of the new indoor/outdoor venues that have sprung up in the booming Darling Quarter area that flows into the Darling Harbour precinct and is open 7 days a week and for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kaz Derbas runs things here, and in such a friendly and efficient way you can just sit back and enjoy yourself - you're in great hands.
Great coffee, sensational food, beaut and prompt service. Definite high recommendation
Reviews spot on. I went here based purely on the excellent reviews. It was great! Good service, food and views of the lovely park.
A little touch of class, this one
Real nice breakfast this morning. Lovely tea and smoothies too
On a rainy early morning, not much open. Vesta was lovely. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Menu small but good. Thank you.
