Passiontree Velvet has to be of the most affordable and tasty dessert options at Macquarie. We've had four things and all of them have satisfied our taste buds. Do try the Red Velvet Cake, S'mores Strawberry Waffle, New York Cheesecake and a Strawberry Cake.
Great desserts and drinks. I've also had their iced coffee, comes with vanilla ice cream - tastes wonderful. However, quite expensive. Cakes are not too heavily sweet which is perfect, they taste amazing and the drinks are also very nice👍🏻 Would go again.

Passiontree Velvet is a teahouse and patisserie chain serving a range of cakes, high teas and desserts. I visited the Macquarie store to celebrate a friends birthday and ordered the Duchess full high tea which at $35, is very affordably priced compared to normal high teas that start from $50pp. The Duchess is their flagship high tea and includes a tea or coffee, a selection of ribbon finger sandwiches, home baked English scones served with jam and cream and the miniature version of some of their most popular desserts and cakes.
Came here for one of their decked out hot chocolates! The hot chocolate itself is not rich enough for me, the loved the toppings and decorations which included Oreos, chocolate drips and roasted marshmallows! Yummmm
The desserts here look fabulous and I cannot stop trying it. I took away the carrot cake, red velvet, nut bites and chocolate cheesecake. I prefer the nut bites and red velvet. The carrot cake looks cute but taste weird.
Documenting mine and my mother's thoughts of this new place that opened up in Macq Centre, which we jumped to try since we were locals. Passiontree Velvet reminded us a lot of a high tea setting but in a bustling shopping centre. Nothing amazing in service, but liked the open seating.
Ordered the blueberry cheesecake, along with the coconut pineapple cakes, both slices for $9.5 each. Thoroughly enjoyed both the cakes, found the display unique for both of them! Certainly worth a try when you're done shopping in Macq Cntr, and got time to kill before the parking ticket expires.
Luxury comes in the form of tea and cake and Passiontree Velvet have both those areas well covered.
The extensive tea selection alongside the delicate cakes make an afternoon or morning visit pleasant each time. The packaging style of the macarons also make for a great gift.
Dessert : 😁 Great
Service : 😁 Great
I loved the variety of desserts this place has to offer. Very unique and quite delicious. I was a fan of most of the desserts but probably not all. The aesthetics of each sweet was mesmerising & definitely photo worthy. Might I suggest eating there rather than ordering things for takeaway. Service was great. Plenty of smiles
Passiontree velvet want you to “enjoy a world of edible luxury” and they sure do deliver! Even the packaging was pretty, seriously looked more expensive than the cake itself! Well… not really, but it definitely was excessive for some sweets.
Just the one carrot cake has proven how high quality this place is. Sure, a little pricey for the size of the cakes, but well worth it. Can get caught staring at all the options for a good while as they are all so stunning! Tried their soy green tea latte also and this was a lovely pleasant drink to sip away on.
Lovely service with a pretty selection of cakes and macarons. Didn't know what to choose so we just got the carrot and velvet cake take away. Both cakes weren't too heavy or dense they were fluffy, moist and had a good body of flavour.
So so so many cakes!!!! Coffee here is great too, it's a great place for a light snack and great place to catch up with friends over a coffee and cake. Tried the piña colada and the chocolate brownie base goes so well with the coconut and pineapple. The cake was not as sweet as I expected it to be, and it wasn't heavy at all. Can't wait to try all the other cakes they have and I heard the macaroons were pretty amazing too
If you are thinking to treat your friend with a little bit of sweetness. Passiontree Valvet Macquarie is probably a good place to go to. Their cakes are very nice. They all look very pretty and taste awesome. Among their cake range, I love their Guava and Lychee Mousse is my favourite. The Chocolate Truffle Cake is nice and rich too. My least favourite is the Pina Colada.
May try their high tea later when I get a chance.
Passion Tree at Macquarie really lives by its name serving cakes that have been created with passion. They stand out so far ahead of its competition in specialising products that are made with love that don't fool the customer. This is not a cafe that orders cakes externally, it makes exclusive unique creations that give Zumbo a run for its money. They have traditional flavours to light mouse textures to rich chocolate decadence that caters to all sins!
The fantastic selection of cakes are meticulously presented and the only problem you have is making a decision to pick only one. Granted, you are paying close to $10 each piece but the work that has gone into some of these well deserve the asking price.
The Macquarie store has more selection of cakes and I must admit, are better than the Chatswood branch. The concept at this store varies a little as it's more of a cafe that serves light food, high tea and an excellent selection of cakes rather than a full blown dessert house found at Chatswood.
The "cafe chocolate" consists of creme brûlée and chocolate mouse. It has to be tried!
Perfect place to relax after all the shopping. Love the vast display of cakes and macarons. Favourite so far would be the white choc/berry mousse cake. They also have quite of lot of chocolates available as well, in cute boxes which makes it a good gift idea. Love the earl grey chocolate, good hit of tea in the smooth chocolate.
Passiontree velvet, although a franchise offers a large exquisite variety of patisserie items i found un parellel to those at other cafe's like it.
The excellent staff where thoroughly patient as i swindled my way through an iced chai latte and an assortment of macarons. Despite the somewhat over expensive price for the patisserie items they where well beyond worth it. I especially found the manager on staff (one with the beard) was extremely diligent in dealing with customer service complaints and queries which personally i found to be a unexpected delight. From a macaron lover and for someone with (now) a new found love for an iced chai latte' i would recommend coming here. Their presentation of their menu items adds to the entire quality of the cafe, with a unqiue "serve yourself" attitude to many of their beverages and overall an amazing experience.
Wether it be at macquarie or at other passiontree velvets i would definitely reccomend a quite stop over for an amazing experience of culinary delights and quality!
First time I have been here, wow the cabinet display is stunning! Everything is beautiful and so well presented. I got a strawberry cheesecake eclair for takeaway, yum, and the care and detail that went to packing it up is next level. At $7.50 I thought that was very well priced for a patisserie, the macarons being $3 each seemed a little expensive. The male server was very patient while I ooh'd and aah'd, great experience thanks guys.

One of the best dessert cafes you will find in Sydney. They have a good selection of pastries and desserts. I highly recommend the eclairs which are very addictive and elegant 😊😊
Dessert after a lunch in Macquarie Centre, wanted to try more of their eclairs since the mother's day high tea. Berry and Pistachio eclair-$8.50. The choux pastry was well executed, but would have preferred more of a pistachio flavour. You can taste the berry flavour inside, along with the actual berries on top.
Passiontree Velvet is a modern-hybrid of both a Parisian Cafe and High Tea. Topped off with Tiffany Blue China and eclairs that will make your jaw hit the ground. They look almost too good to eat. Not only that, but their Cinnamon tea is absolutely perfect on anytime of day. Downside is that it's quite far out of the city, however, plus side- the Macarons are incredible.

Éclair was tasty but the pastry was a little soft. Lemon meringue tart was very good. Thin but crisp pastry, firm meringue and tasty curd. Better than a certain other over hyped cafe in Macquarie Centre.
Best eclairs in Sydney, love all their sweets tbh! Love how they're so generous with their avocado and refills of Harney & Sons tea. Totally wins my heart.
It's been a while since I've been to high tea, and when I heard there was a new place near me, I thought why not do something special and different for Mother's Day this year? Passiontree Velvet is at Macquarie Centre, located in the Fresh Food Market side (near Coles). colourful displays filled with macarons, tarts, eclairs and cake! chocolate Tt's actually my first time having high tea inside a shopping centre.
This month Sydney saw a heavy contender entering the highly competitive dessert territory. Passiontree Velvet offers a world of ‘edible luxury’ combining the finest essence of English high tea house, Parisian patisserie and Belgian chocolatier.
