I've been coming here since my office moved nearby, and I'm a massive fan and a daily devotee.
In an area full of "average" coffee shops Higher Dimension is a breath of fresh air... fresh coffee and fresh food.
They use ONA beans, which for this coffee nerd is a plus. They are fanatical about the quality of their coffee and food.
They also have some of the most unique breakfast offerings in Sydney.
If you need somewhere that provides consistently high quality coffee and cafe food without the pretense or the wankiness of other nearby venues, try this place.... seriously

Their 4D bacon and egg roll is AMAZING, everything fits together so perfectly and the sauce is the best part. I always go there for coffee, super consistent high quality coffee and the owner/baristas are always keen for a chat.

The Higher Dimension Coffee team is awesome. They make the best organic chai - yes it is REAL chai, not powder (hard to find on York St) - and a yummy hot chocolate. They serve yummy snacks too - my fav is the banana bread. The best thing about Higher Dimension is the staff remember my name and my story - very impressive. They are very customer oriented and quality focused. I recommend them to anyone wanting a tasty experience regularly.

Coffee is good hence not a 1 star. Avoid breakfast, see below.
However, to the cook who dropped a poached egg on a dirty wipe and then moved it to the toast and served it nonetheless, it would have been better to be honest with your patron and let them know that their breakfast would take 5 more minutes due to a mistake than serving them the contaminated egg.
It is an understatement that seeing such practice makes me unlikely to come back for coffee.

Coffee is alright, but not a mocha. Matcha quality was good , but too much water was added . Toastie and croissaints need a lot more work.
