The ultimate in cheap and cheerful, my cooked to order takeaway chicken noodle soup was just $8. Delicious, satisfying and easy on the hip pocket. Another favourite dish at Wong Kee's is the vegetable laksa. They also have a variety of ready to serve dishes from the bain marie. Service is always incredibly friendly and fast.

I have been coming to Won Kee Chinese on and off for the last 13 years, when Ive been lucky enough to work down this end of the CBD. I am so happy that they still exist after Covid lockdowns. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Large selection of bain-marie stirfries and curries. Prices cannot be beaten! 2 choices with fried rice (sml) only $9 and huge portion sizes. Im yet to try the made to order menu but a King Prawn Laksa for $12 will be my next lunch choice. Came back to the office with a full tummy after a very satisying and delicious lunch. Access up the escalators from Pitt Street or street level off Castlereagh Street in the Chambers Arcade.

Love the Curries. Always get the Regular takeaway with boiled rice. Now $9 for Regular $10 for Large. +$1 for Fried Rice or Noodle. Hainan Chicken Rice and the Chicken Rice Noodle soup is also really good. Prices went up after Covid - just like everywhere else but still the best value tasty lunch in this part of town

This by far is Castlereagh Street's best kept secret! A colleague recommended this restaurant to me after starting nearby 5 weeks ago and it has now become my regular lunch spot. The workers are so happy and friendly and the food is fresh and very tasty. I have ordered the large chicken and sweet corn soup several times and have always been impressed with how delicious it is and how generous they are with chicken. If I am ever stuck with what to order, the staff are always happy to help me decide. The most fantastic thing about thing about this restaurant is that because they are so organised, the food you order off the menu comes out super quick which is great for my hunger. I have no issue recommending this lovely establishment!

Very delicious Hainanese Chicken Rice that comes with a small soup, good portions where you don't feel hungry or too full and at a very cheap price. Open at 8am but for the rice doesn't get ready until like 9am and it is worth the wait. So if you're looking for Hainanese Chicken Rice for breakfast, highly recommend here.

I used to work next door from 2019-2020. The food here really saved me and my friend Sunny at the time. The taste is awesome and the price is so affordable (or you can say cheap). I would like to visit the owner(s) sometimes but now I work pretty far away. Wish you guys all the best. :)

Best chicken noodle soup in the world! I had others in Malaysia and in Singapore but none gets even close to Wong Kee.

Ordered chicken laksa $10.50. I’ve had better laksa somewhere else, however the portion here are generous, fresh and tasted like home. I’ve seen the uncle came as early in the morning when i pass by to work, much dedication right there! 👍🏿 Definetely worth the price point! The aunties at the counter were very friendly (reminiscent of those hawker centre in malaysia & singapore ambience) Very Recommended!

Chicken rice and laksa for $8.50. And the chicken rice is one of the best I've had in Sydney. Fast efficient table service, and they even take credit card without a surcharge, I'm blown away. It's a bit hard to find, you need to enter the chambers arcade that connects Pitt St and Castlereagh.
