Not too bad a place for Thai but seeing as it's in busy Newtown, it's so hard to find parking.
If you're traveling via public transport then great.
Food was good and so was the service.
The place is quite pleasing to the eye as there are lots of things to look at while waiting for your food.
The wait wasn't too long either and it was also fairly priced.
Went last night the restaurant was pretty busy with people waiting for larger tables and their takeaways. Ordered the crab and papaya salad, holy duck and the massaman beef.
The food arrived in an unusual order. Duck then salad than beef after initially being given the wrong food.
All meals good and excellent value for money.
Went here for dinner on a Friday night. Really nice n warm on a cold n windy night so it was perfect. We order the ginger fish (chefs special), yellow curry n the prow gai. One thing you have to order if you go here is the coconut rice!! It is simply heart warming with yellow curry. Makes me so happy! But All of it was amazing! Served hot and fresh! The customer service was delightful as well.
Will definitely come here again!😁
My friend made a booking at this place which I thought had a nice ambience when I walked in like I was somewhere in Thailand. However when it came to ordering the food the waitress was abit unpleasant and impatient with getting us to order. After we finally got her attention we decided to get a jug of sangria and a entree of 3 vegetable spring rolls and chicken yellow chicken curry and salmon salad. The sangria was a odd choice for a Thai restaurant but being a hot day was a nice refreshing drink but with an Asian twist of apple, lychees and peach and mint. The spring roll was cut up in half filled with carrots, peas, vermicelli noodles and lettuce, and was accompanied with hoisen sauce which complimented it nicely. The yellow chicken curry was with sweet potato, potato's and chicken and coriander but was nice and creamy and sweet. Finally the salmon salad with bok choy, broccoli, peanuts, carrot and green beans was a nice finisher to the meal. Other then the table service and unfriendly staff, the food was quite nice and reasonably priced at $70 for 4 people. Would come back here again for the dinner special and make try the duck.

Always enjoying coming here with my client, very pleasant service and great food. It's always open at a time we need to eat.
We have been local residents in Erko for years.... And we have seen this place have its bad times and good times... We recently went back and the service, food and atmosphere is fantastic... We will definitely be going back
Standing up for a great restaurant. A lot of the reviews are about cash only. EFTPOS has arrived!! We go to Stir Crazy every week and look forward to the food and experience as part of a wind down for the week. Their soft shell crab has not been surpassed - as well as their Heavenly Beef and Chicken Chilli Jam.
The staff really do try, and it can be hit and miss, but there is no malice in them. 90% of our weekly experiences over the last 2 years have been hits!
Good service. I've read some of the reviews below, but can say I've eaten here a few times with no problems with the service or the bill. There are some really nice dishes on the menu and even the old standards are done well. The value is good as the servings sizes are big!
Always delicious. Fantastic menu and fantastic flavours. The food is quality and delivery times are usually fast. Only downside is that they only accept cash, which can be inconvenient .
Decent local thai. Not a bad thai restaurant, but nothing spectacular, although I've only had takeaway. I've been back a couple of times and I'm sure I'll be back again - I've not yet discovered anywhere on King Street thats any better than Stir Crazy, so I'll just stick to my local!
Fave local Thai of all time. Have followed these guys from humble but yummy beginnings to their current Sydney wide status and watched the ingredients improve in quality and the recipes remain authentic and super crowd pleasing. Best pad-si-ew in town!
