Conveniently located at the Plaza in Lane Cove, The Junction Coffee Co is a dog friendly cafe with outdoor seating and a substantial menu which you won’t have any trouble choosing from. A small space, but very popular. It was formerly Pablo & Rusty’s which could be the reason they serve Pablo & Rusty’s Coffee as well as sell their beans. Chef Daniel is extremely experienced, having works all over the world. He’s created a menu with a variety of dishes to suit all diners. They have a hugely instagrammable breakfast degustation, veggie board and French toast to name a few. Food is nutritious, well seasoned, tasty and nicely presented. We shared two dishes, the smashed avo with tomato, dukkah, goats feta on ciabatta. So colourful and even healthy. It was a cold weekend so we also shared the porridge with cinnamon, cashew nuts, seasonal fruit. The coffee is good, using Pablo and Rusty’s beans. We had a mocha as well as a Daintree chai with soy milk + honey - Specialty of the house. Staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. This will be sure to maintain popularity with the locals and visitors alike.

Visited the Junction Coffee Co. over the weekend for breakfast and was super impressed with how delicious and beautifully presented the food was! I ordered the T-J Breakfast Sharing Platter, Lemon Tart, Latte and Daintree Chai. I loved the wide selection of food on the share platter, poached eggs were cooked to perfection and I absolutely fell in love with the bircher muesli. A bit more seasoning on some items on the share platter would've elevated the dish for me but only a minor detail. The filling of the tart was sweet and had a creamy texture which was gorgeous. Overall, I enjoyed the food and customer service here, will definitely revisit!

Coffee was ok, ham and cheese toastie was good, bacon and egg roll was underdone, and there seemed to be a few mix ups with the orders on table around us. When we have visited before its been pretty good so i hope it was just an off day

I just happened to walk by this cafe and decided to have brunch. The staff were great and the veggie board was by far the best avocado / poached eggs / vegetables I’ve had at a cafe. Everything was unexpectedly extra delicious and was seasoned perfectly. You could taste and see that the ingredients were very fresh and of a high quality. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area. Thanks!

Beef Burger : 😍 Amazing
Chilli Eggs : 😍 Amazing
Coffee : 😍 Amazing

Such amazing food here at The Junction. The patty for the burger was nice and thick. It was juicy and the chips were crispy. Chilli scrambled eggs, though there should be more chilli on it, could do no wrong. Lots of delicious little elements on the plate. Coffee was nice and bold and went down well on a windy day.

Best coffee in Lane Cove without doubt. I do have to state I have a lot of love towards the P & R Blend of beans, but I reckon its all in the barista. I haven't tried there food as of yet as I just venture in to grab my caffeine and run out.

Love this little local spot! Food is A+, I always get the portobello mushroom dish with gluten free bread, highly recommend. I also love their chai, which they make using leaves and not powder

The junction coffee co is a popular spot with locals. Whether you are after a quick bite to eat or settling in for an hour or two with a coffee this cafe has a great set up for those dining solo. Do not go past their selection of brekkie boards! The TJs board was fantastic with 2 poached eggs, bacon, chorizo, tomato, avocado, mushrooms and sourdough. The meats were perfectly flavored and the board provides you with a little bit of everything. Be sure to check out their treats at the counter if you need something extra.

Very popular small cafe on the Lane Cove mall. We sat outside on a cold but sunny Saturday. The service was prompt and particularly like the touch of leaving blankets for guest sitting outside. The food was ok, nothing particularly stood out, good or bad. Smallish in serving size, it was ok for me, but my friend who's a bigger eater was left still hungry.
The Weekend Foodie
This is actually our second time at The Junction. There's a fair selection of cafes and restaurants at Lane Cove but my partners friend recommended the junction.

The must have stand out dish was their baked eggs with chorizo, potentially one of the best baked eggs i have had to date. It was flavoursome and saucy enough to dip my bread in but not too saucy to the point its watery. The ice coffee had a big dollop of vanilla ice cream in it. It was a standard iced coffee.

My partner had their smashed avo and it found it a bit bland and quite average. He wanted to give this joint a 3 and i thought a 4 based on what I ate... so technically a 3.5 but we settled on a 3...

Overall not too bad,a great little joint for locals!

*kindly invited

I went with the Meat board and veggie board. Great coffee and really good cold brew :) . Great staff and great service. I’d definitely stop by if I was in the area again.

On the weekend, we decided to venture out a bit further away then usual so we tried the THE JUNCTION COFFEE CO. in Lane Cove. The location was just perfect for us, the shop was located in a very cosy family friendly area just outside a shopping plaza - plenty of kids and doggies running around!
I ordered the 'special' big breakfast and Andy ordered the big breakfast.
My dish had a nice special touch (truffle!) so the flavours were great; it came with potato, poached eggs and chorizo!
Andy ordered the big breakfast. It was your typical big breakfast with tomatoes, bacon, chorizo, avocado, poached eggs on sourdough. Serving sizes were very generous with both dishes, Andy had to get the Maddi and Mikayla to help out with his dish.
It was a bit far for us but if we are ever in the same area again, we will definitely be dropping by again for a feed!
The RnB Diary
When was the last time you dined in Lane Cove? For us the answer was never, at least until last week. An impromptu catch up with a friend who works in the neighbourhood brought me there for lunch. To my surprise the suburb has a strong village feel and our lunch destination – Junction Coffee – had everything we needed for a lunchtime catch up.
Love At First Bite
Junction Coffee Co is a cafe in the shopping district of Lane Cove, it serves a range of eat in and takeaway breakfast and lunch dishes and drinks. We came here for brunch one weekend, keen to catch up over some good food. For our drinks I ordered the Banana, Blueberry, mango and almond smoothie. This was delicious and healthy and too sweet, I loved the combination of flavours. We also ordered the Daintree chai with milk and honey, this was a nice drink for winter with good cinnamon flavour.

Amazing food!
Loved the staff and the whole area was vibrant. A spectacular location.
Quick service and fantastic food.
The 3 meat omelette was delish IOU’s ; the eggs and avocado in toast hit the spot!
The porridge was creamy and sweet
Great little spot with good coffee and menu. Tried out a few of the breakfast offering which was amazing ! Really loved the porridge and the eggs.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
The P&R logo remains etched into the wooden table numbers; and bags of Pablo & Rusty's coffee still line the shelves at The Junction Coffee Co. It’s refreshing to see the new owner only change the things that need changing, after taking over this former Pablo & Rusty’s spot. The hip, mock-industrial surrounds have also been left unaltered. Don’t scratch your head too hard about what repurposed industrial items you’re dining on when you sit down at the communal table inside the small space. The two level zinc-clad table is actually a custom-build by Contempo Furniture. Designers Giant Design clearly didn't want to trouble themselves with the whole repurposing caper. I will say that the warm orange glow emanating from inside the dangling rusty metal milk crates, and rows of custom-made milk bottle lights, do give the metallic workshop-like interior some warmth on this cold, wintery day. With the strong emphasis on takeaway - the café sits in Lane Cove’s popular outdoor plaza which offers up plenty of places to dine – The Junction Coffee Co. operate with an order at the counter system. While you’ll find...

Came as a guest. While the menu looks like what you can get anywhere the flavour is not. Each dish we tried was that much better with little extra ingredients like chilli and dukah. My portobello mushrooms tasted that much better than other places. My missus was impressed with slow roast basil Roma tomato dish. I haven't been to Lane Cove in a while but this is a good excuse to come visit again!

This cafe was buzzing and clearly a delight to the locals. The service is swift and friendly, coffee brew exceptional with Pablo & Rusty beans. You can order your standard fare or pick from some unique dishes carefully crafted by their experienced Chef Daniel. While there are still plenty of cafes that lack variety and imagination in Sydney, The Junction Coffee Co is a delightful exception. Well worth a visit if venturing to Lane Cove or just if you want to discover their unique menu.

Situated in a spacious open area, with inside and outside seating available. Good selection of food to choose from. Highly recommend the vegetable platter, it consists of avocado 🥑 eggs 🥚 tomato 🍅 and mushrooms 🍄 and I added some feta cheese 🧀 which was delicious. Friendly service which is always welcomed.

This visit was by invite.

Came on a weekday afternoon. It was school holidays at the time so it was quite busy everywhere, but that general area in Lane Cove is the hub of a lot of foot traffic so it is usually busy anyway.

What I love about the food menu here is its major sharing quality. Most cafes don't do platters, this place does a variety of them. This makes The Junction the perfect place to bring your family, friends, and children for something everyone can enjoy.

Pablo and Rusty coffee is served here, which is always a good sign.

A queue for coffee when I was there for breakfast. coffee is great nicely hot and has a hint of speical aroma. I had toasted mushrroom, pumpkin and porches eggs with sourghdough. it tastes nice except the bread. my wife finished the cereal porridge with cashew nuts and banana well. just on food I would give 3.5 but there were dozensbof flies buzzing around the large tableb inside the cafe and inside just looks untidy and lack of love. it makes me not trust the hygiene standard.i would give 2.5 stars if there was the option. had to round it up to 3 :)

The kitchen was closed when we got there at 2pm 😥 so we settled for some iced tea, a ready made sandwich, and a cookie.

The cookie was surprisingly nice, I tend to not expect much from cookies in general, but coupled with the fact that they had two vegan options to choose from and the subtle sweetness, I actually liked it! But this isn’t really on the Junction, apart from their good taste, rather it’s all on Luke Avenue lol.

Sandwich was decent, probably bit too pricey for the size, but still enjoyed.

I did not think the iced tea was pleasant though. It tasted like gum because the mint taste was so strong. But not fresh mint, sort of tasted artificial. Who knows, maybe it’s just from a bottle, in which case I choose to stay away from mint flavoured iced teas.

Previously Pablo & Rusty's and now under new management, The Junction seems to attract much of the local crowd with its P&R coffees. We ordered the granola and the almond croissant to accompany our coffees and sat on one of the outdoor benches where there was plenty of sun. The coffees were spot on and the granola was delicious, however the almond croissant was soggy and tasted like it had been sitting on the shelf overnight. Skip the pastries and go straight to the coffees!
