Went here for lunch to watch live NBA basketball while grabbing a bite and ordered the Pork Belly Burger, the burger definitely exceeded my expectations and was reasonably priced. The bun was soft and fresh, the burger was a very good size as well. I finished every last chip on my plate because it was so good. Highly recommended place for a work lunch or to watch the live sports.
Visited Tipply's for a foodie event and it was my first time there. Famous for their burgers, I chose the Gentlemen Tipply’s - Grilled Beef Pattie, Truffled Macaroni & Cheese, Streaky Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Onion Rings & Truffle Mayo with side of Spicy Wing. The burger was juicy and delicious, however the wings were a bit dry for my liking.
🎩🍔🍔🍔//📢Burger $16 & Wings n Fries $6.
Nice place for drinks, and drinks, and drinks....only bad thing is ...after 6 drinks I found they do not serve food anyone... so sad...cannot power on drinks
Came to mr tipply's as a part of an organized event. The range of burgers is pretty damn impressive! The gentleman tipply's is certainly a mouthful, chock full of onion rings, bacon and Mac n cheese, this ones certainly for the hungry. The bacon burger is also a great one for those who prefer a more traditional approach to burgers. Be mindful of the slippage and make use of the skewer at hand. Wings were a good side with a bit of a kick if you were after something other than chips or salad with your burger.
On the corner of Kent Street, in the middle of the city, Mr.Tipply’s white neon sign shines bright. The illusive mascot, a gentlemen of the highest order, is the main character in an entirely fictional tale behind the restaurant-bar. You get the impression that they are going for a mysterious and stylish, Great Gatsby-esque narrative.
Smashed my expectations - what a winner!. The old City Hotel has been refurbished to impress. This bar has undergone an amazing makeover and the menu absolutely blew me away. I wasn't expecting such delicious, authentic food. Working close by, I now frequently head down to Tipply's for the daily lunch special which never disappoints. The food is fresh, fast and delicious. They have a really good wine and drinks menu and the staff are always friendly and polite. My new favourite local haunt!
We had my sons 21st birthday there in April 2022 for 60 people. We had concerns because of a second 21st with 120 people. We were concerned about the food platters arriving intact and potential mix ups at the bar. None of this happened. Arvin and Stella did a wonderful job. They arranged for the food platters to come in via the stairs and they separated the bar. Everything went like clockwork. The food was plentiful and tasty. Alcohol was cheap in comparison to some other roof top bars. Considering it was an open bar, the average cost of a drink was just under $8.00. There was also continual (but unobtrusive) security, which was reassuring. In summary, a great night at a great venue. We would not hesitate to use it again.
Great place for a burger and fries before heading off to the footy on the team. You can sit on the balcony and smoke. Plenty of beers to choose from as well. Always a favourite.
Went there for a casual lunch with some mates on a Saturday lunch. It was great. Plenty of room to find a quiet table to talk. Food was really good, and the drinks were cold.
The Friday night dinner special was chicken karage, and for 20 dollars I got amazing karage chicken with chips and 2 schooners of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale. Exceptional value to complement the Friday night football.
And the bar and food service was first class. I'll be going back more often.
1st time there for a work colleagues farewell. Nice place up on the rooftop. Had a great feed of steak cooked just how I ordered it👌
