Review The Rooftop Sydney - Sydney

Elizabeth Munro-Ginn
A large venue, this place is good for groups. The staff are generally friendly, though they are always rushing to close at the end of the night and eager for you to leave. The selection of beers is reasonable, and prices as expected in Sydney. It's a perfectly fine place, it just fails to charm me.

Excellent place to mingle and host drinks for casual large group bookings! Staff were extremely flexible, prompt and able to assist anytime - also many attendees loved the ambience so much so majority stayed past the booking end time with no issues. Will definitely recommend and keep in mind for future venues.

I had my 21st Birthday at Shelbourne at LinQ Bar. Absolutely beautiful venue, kind and efficient staff, and all round great vibes. Food was also super yummy! Love this place. Thank you Shelbourne Hotel :)))

Highly recommend having a party at the Shelbourne, we booked the LinQ Bar and our guests enjoyed the food, drinks and venue very much as did we. Really appreciate the efforts and help that the staff provided on the day. The location is also great, easy to get to, right in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Actually really love this place, they've done it up really well. Great rooftop, well styled with premium spaces. Good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices for the city centre. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Love the lighting.

Very organised, Quick bar service. Food arrived quickly and had some great offers such as buy a bottle of wine and get a free entree or bar snack. They do a brunch with pizza that we will definitely be booking for the group of friends soon. Thanks for the great night.

Very long wait for food that was expensive. Was treated very poorly by the manager, booked a table for 20 and there was only 14 seats at the table so we could not all fit. Will not be going back, do not recommend.

A busy place, nice range of beers on tap. Stayed here for a few hours and had some bites before moving onto another place. Worth calling in for a beer.

Came here with some colleagues as we booked a section of the bar to ourselves. Staff were accommodating and served us food platters. All of them were delicious and I will recommend!! My favorite was the Peking Duck rolls, prawn and mango salsa and arancini rolls!

A popular drink hole in the CBD, the heritage-listed Shelbourne Hotel was packed with office workers every Thursday and Friday afternoons. It might be difficult to order a drink (around 20-30 minutes) as the hungry drinkers swarmed around the counters.<br/><br/>The range of beers are limited to the usual few too and they ran out really quickly on busy evenings. Probably, they would need to employ a few more part-timers.

Our local jaunt from our office this place is an institution. I remember coming here for new year's eve as a teen. It's now gentrified and usually full of suits but the urban charm remains.<br/>I'll usually get the schnitzel with chips. It is hands down one of the best pub schnittys you will find. It comes with a small serve of coleslaw and I usually add gravy - delicious! On Friday I ordered the Peking duck pizza for something different - don't do that. Its not very good, and the prawn pizza (I tried a slice) is not much better. Go there, grab a schnitty and a schooner of 150 lashes and enjoy!

Went here with a group of around 15. The English waitress at the bar input 2 of the orders wrong and rudely refused to correct them when they came out. The food was average (aside from the incorrectly cooked steaks). Service you would expect on a busy Saturday night not a quiet Monday. 1/5 wouldn't bother coming again. ✌🏼️

I came here for a function and wasn't sure what to expect as it has been several years since I have visited Shelbourne.<br/><br/>It was a large function and the food was not bad, not amazing. The mini burgers were very dry but some of the other finger food was quite nice. The function room upstairs was quite well set up and had good customer service. It would be a good location for a function.

The pizza base was perfect, not too soft but enough to be able to hold the pizza and it’s toppings. There was a slice of fresh tomato in every single piece of pizza. And the crust was a nice crunch!

Great Finger Food. We went to the Shelbourne for a function and finger food. We really didn't know what to expect as sometimes finger food is a bit hit and miss. Well it was certainly a hit there. The quality was excellent and the quantities for a mere $20 a head were great. We had arancini, spring rolls, satay chicken skewers, samosas, fish pieces, prawn torpedos, thai beef salad, salt and pepper squid, dim sims, spicy meatballs and more. The service was great, the food was great and the quantities were excellent. Well worth having a function here!

Great for lunch & cheap eats!. Really good quality pub style food, great lunch menu all under $20 and specials from $10. I work near here and groups from our office go down basically every week now. Can choose to eat in the bar, outdoors or restaurant upstairs. Good casual dining if you're in the area.
