The Sydney Burger Blog
+4.5
We entered the Green Park Hotel under the impression that they would actually be making their own burgers. However, upon seeing their menu Paul noticed that they have the burger joint’s burger menu. We decided to stay & eat there since we were all hungry and didn’t really want to walk around anymore looking for another burger place.
Love the bar staff, alternative sexy! Food from nearby Burger Joint is delivered straight to the bar!
Best pub. Definately worth checking out if your in the mood for a relaxing beer. They order away food to a burger joint which is pretty epic as well. great friendly staff
The Green Park has always been one of my favourite pubs. It doesn't try to be anything it's not; it just is what it is. You can always get served and, oddly, you can always get a seat. Well, nearly always, even when it's packed to the rafters with gay men on a Sunday arvo. The smoky courtyard has now disappeared, which is no great loss in my opinion as you could get lung cancer out there after five minutes. Love this place. A good crowd and a great buzz!
Being from out of town and picked this great pub to have a few beers with my friends, I found it to be a very friendly vibe. Drink prices were great, friendly staff and patrons. I'd return again when I visit Sydney next time.
Super local place and super gay friendly as in the heart of Darlinghurst. Love going on Friday nights or Sunday afternoon when DJ is on and a great Sunday session is guaranteed. A little of old world charm bar with nice staff and a great buzz when it's busy. Sitting outside at the front is always great to people watch and a really good place to hang out and catch up with friends.
This is a great place to meet and have a drink. Classic venue, decent prices and a happy hour. But, no kitchen. You can get food delivered. But if you want pub food, this isn't the place. But a great spot for pre or post dinner drinks!
Very vibrant atmosphere!!! If you want to talk and don't want the loud bar music, go to the back lounge and sit around a table with comfy bench seating and chat.
Have a game of pool as well. You don't have to wait forever, the table was free after a short while.
Very happy with the bouncers as well. They were polite and didn't seem as though they were there to hassle people, just help them.
I will be going back here many more times, I loved the place!!!
Nice place but happy hour prices are still high compared to other venues for wine. No gluten free beer option, but this is a problem in Australia in general. Hahn makes an excellent gf beer, so not sure why it isn't in pubs.
Always a welcoming vibe, layout is great with the bar being very accessible, nice booths out the back of you want a quiet place for a drink, overall great vibes.
Just a heads up, no full pub menu if that's what you're looking for, although pizza can be ordered in.
Authentic classic bar with not a tab screen the far as the eye can see. (At least in the front). Friendly staff, good tap beer options. Loved it.
This is true this place knew better days, but this is why I like it. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you step into an intimate space that knows to be friendly too. The bar staff are always 'busy' and know to keep you waiting even where there is nobody else to serve.. I rank this place high because it reminds me of old times and even though it has gone some reno it still looks and feels the same !
