Civic Hotel - Sydney - Photo album

This is a really great place for after work drinks and Nibbles. We came in a small group today and had a good time sipping some of the tap beers and chips/wings.
Went for lunch, was delish and staff were friendly
Quite a basic place, with no real style but that's what you need sometimes. Quite a few beers on offer, generally the usual favourites. Decent pub food menu. Screens for sports, pokies round the corner. Was quite busy at Friday lunchtime. Fast service.
Way too much security in people's faces, shining bright torches in people's faces when harassing them, irresponsibly moving patrons on after an event and not caring for their safety. They like to take people's money but refrain from offering service.
Civic Underground - attended a ticketed event billed as 10 PM to 4 AM. Security personnel decided the event was over at 2:40 and kicked everyone out, including the DJ. This pub is great for lunch or dinner! Meet friends or even spend some time unwinding. The staff are friendly and attentive. The venuecannget very loud at times but only towards the late hours of the day from 6pm. Value for money bistro serving up some food with standard and made with some love. Mus
Pub itself was fine. Had the fish and chips special which was hard to finish. Fish was very fishy in flavour and batter very heavy.
Went to see a friend play here, in the Underground. What a great venue - it's cozy but not too small, has it's own bar, booths, a dance floor and lots of mirror balls. Would be a really great place for a party when we can safely do that again.💃 (Longing sigh!)
