Review Bloomfield Eatery - Sydney

Being locals to Rosebery, we were extremely happy to see this cafe pop up. Located inside the lobby of a small office building and trendy area, it has a minimal but stylish decor, complete with beautiful floristry. The cafe has has a great vibe and the ambience is set by their playlist of good tunes. The menu options are the type of thing we’re keen to order over and over again, like granola, avo on toast, brekkie rolls and brekkie bowls. The lunch menu offers salads and sandwiches so you can easily get a fresh and healthy meal at either breakfast or lunch. We had the granola and the smashed avocado dishes. Both were simple yet super tasty. The coconut yoghurt really compliments the granola and we also like that there’s not too much honey. Nicely balanced. The classic smashed avocado on toast was nicely executed. You get the sweetness from the relish and saltiness from the goats curd which is oh so perfect. They use coffee beans from Campos which they are proud to present and we were excited to see that daily batch brew was on offer. We love this cafe and look forward to revisiting .

Just when Instagram had me thinking all cafes were on the way to becoming a bit 'extra', along comes Bloomfield Eatery. Housed in the entrance to a Rosebery office block, Bloomfield Eatery is both minimalist and lean. Scattered across the lobby, the chairs, stools and tables shout contemporary schoolroom against white walls and polished aggregate floors. A beautiful floral arrangement softens the angular space, which seems to be more about the passive patterns created by wells of light than it is about active decoration. The menu is similarly pared back; and completely devoid of freak shakes and other Persian fairy-floss topped affectations. You won’t find waffles, matcha or turmeric flavoured lattes, or burger monstrosities here, and, quite frankly, it's a bit of a relief. While those items may have special occasion appeal, on your average Monday I just want a well-made coffee. Here the beans are Campos, and the barista has spent time working in their facility, so my Latte ($3.50) was robust and complex with balanced bitterness that didn’t require me to add sugar just to make it drinkable. While sandwiches and salads take up most of the menu’s real estate, you can opt for a slightly fancier bowl of Miso Salmon ($17). It’s a well presented bowl of organic soba noodles sitting in warm dashi broth and topped with a generous amount of charred miso-cured salmon fillets, strips of nori and floating green snow peas that add crunch and visual interest. A large Salad Bowl ($12) gives you two selections from their trio of interesting plant foods. I’m happy to see beet leaves feature in two of the menu's salad selections, including one with purple cauliflower, goat’s cheese, red quinoa, pickled Swiss browns, piquillo peppers and beetroot. Hopefully these slightly sweet chard like leaves will have you asking why you ever threw beetroot leaves away! All three salads (yeah I was greedy and asked for a bowl combining all three of the day’s offerings) are full of interesting vegetables – artichoke, radicchio, salted kale – plus different nuts and grains to ensure they make a balanced meal. However don’t be shy about adding a side if you’re sceptical about feeling hungry after eating a salad lunch. Both the 7 Spice Chicken ($4.50) and Haloumi ($4.50) are tasty and generously proportioned, and dense enough to ensure you last through the afternoon without snacking. Not that there's anything wrong with visiting Bloomfield Eatery for an afternoon pick-me-up, especially as they stock products from Nútie Donuts, like their popular vegan chocolate chip cookies...

Great Campos coffee and friendly service, excited for them to open back up properly once the restrictions are lifted!

Great new neighbourhood cafe located close to The Cannery. Friendly service, excellent coffees and a good variety of breakfast options. Recommend the avo toast and the breaky bun to get the day going.

The hours say 6:30am to 3pm but it is closer to 2pm, as I was there at 2:20pm and asked for a sandwich to be grilled and they said the grill had been cleaned already. Why would a place limit menu to only a few items before closing time? The staff looked like they were ready to go home prior to closing time which baffled me. Everywhere else locally has al menu available up until closing. Hi Yianni, thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate that you are concerned. I felt it was very odd that’s why I wanted to mention it. It was 14th May and the time was just past two, approx 2:20 or thereabouts. I ordered a coffee and paid then I asked about the sandwiches in the display and asked if I could get one grilled. The attendant then referred to the cook and then he said the grill was now clean so he couldn’t do it. I didn’t push but I was pretty dissatisfied. The coffee was still good but the experience was negative so wanted to highlight that. I hope this helps you. Really don’t want anyone to get in trouble but I hope it ensures that these things can be ordered right up until 3pm

I never write reviews, but throughout this week, I’ve just been so impressed. I’ve been doing a course just up the road from Bloomfield, and before this week I’d never been to Rosebery. So, on the first day I went to Bloomfield to grab a takeaway coffee, told them my name and for the rest of the week they haven’t forgotten it!! Food is great, atmosphere is great, and everyone is so lovely. Definitely will be back if I’m in the area again 😁

Nothing delights me more than a cafe that, after a few visits, acknowledges your custom, maybe remembers your order or name. It’s become my daily haunt for a coffee before my day starts at 7am (extra kudos for being open early enough!). Brownie is as good as the label promised

Great coffee, the friendliest and kindest staff. Thoroughly enjoy their salmon bagels and vegie wraps. Really great, more value for money option compared to the Cannery where everything is pricey!

Bloomfield eatery is located inside an office building. We went on a Monday during lunch time and there were a few officer goers buying coffee and having lunch. We ordered their salads with chicken, the curry cauliflower salad (the salad is cold) by very nice!! The breakfast bowl was ok, the corn tasted really strange - a bit of a sour taste. I'm not sure if it's seasoning etc. I think this place is great for officer goers and people who work near by to grab some lunch.

We were kindly invited

A really nice spot, the cafe is at the lobby of an office building but there are plenty of space to eat in. Service is friendly and fast. I really like their menu which is healthy and every dish is so tasty. I never thought I’d say this, but the kale salad is really delicious! There’s also hot food options, we had pumpkin soup and miso mushrooms, poached egg on sourdough toast. Really impressed with it and would stop by again.

Came as a guest. Definitely not your average cafe. Me and my missus were impressed with what we got. I got the breakfast bowl and while I loved all of it,the wilted greens were just yum. My missus had the mushroom toast with chicken, she said it right the mushrooms are delicious and also big in size. If you want to goto somewhere that tastes better then your average cafe, come here!

Fabulous little spot in Rosebery and they serve an amazing breakfast. The Mushroom Toast was so tasty and the Smashed avocado was absolutely delicious. Save room for a wonderful coffee and a fresh muffin as it was worth it. They also stock the famous Butterbing biscuits, which are my favourite.

I visited them on a weekday morning, Walked in and was greeted by friendly staff. Sat down and staff made sure I was served straight away. Service I must say was excellent. Ordered our food and it came in no time. Very efficient. One thing I was extremely impressed by were the aromas of the food. A lot of cafes these days have great presentation but you rarely smell the food. The food at Bloomfield Eatery has ticked all these boxes for me, the smell was gorgeous and made me want to dig in straight away. All the dishes I ordered I was extremely happy with the taste. I ordered the pumpkin soup, granola bowl and avo smash. It was so good I don’t think I can pick a favourite! I’m a coffee drinker and Coffee was amazing too! I would definitely come again and recommend this cafe to friends and family! Thank you Bloomfield eatery for such a great meal!
