Mr Shawn & Miss Chicken

Krispy Roll closed then changed it's mind and had a revamp, reopening at the shop next door. While they still do pork rolls, they've ditched the bargain price and expanded the menu. Krispy Roll opened up in 2014 with a bargain promise - one of the cheapest pork rolls in the CBD. They closed late in 2017 and their shop space was replaced by Kusuka Cafe and Warung. Not long after, the shop next door became vacant, so Krispy Roll decided to make a come back.
MmmhhhhhhhHH. The Banh Mi is sooo good!
$9.50 at that time. Fair. Cheers
I ordered a grilled chicken salad, very fresh ingredients and very tasty! The Vietnamese ice coffee was delicious too to cool down after those hot chilli 😊😘 I'll go back for sure. X
Have ordered in from here before, and then I had the Viet-style chicken drumstick, and the grilled pork with broken rice meal. I loved them both so much, especially the drumstick.
Went I went to eat in, I had the spring rolls and the grilled beef with steamed rice, along with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both were good, but my first set of choices was the better one. The coffee was a little too strong, so I would say avoid it if it's late, because it sure kept me up that night.
The place is very small, and there were two girls there that day working very hard to get all the orders made in time. My biggest feedback would be to not use plastic containers (pictured) if someone is eating in. For deliveries and take aways the options are limited, yes, but it is unacceptable to serve food in disposable plastic containers when they are dining in.
Will stick my neck out here - easily the best banh mi in CBD. Fresh bread, loads of meat, and great secret sauce. If you happen to wander past at 5ish, you will also get it for only $5
Food is very fresh and tasty. Best fresh spring rolls, deep fried spring rolls and vietnamese rolls we've had in a long time.
Staff is very friendly.
Definitely will come back soon.
