Review The Meeting House Cafe Restaurant - Sydney

Super cute cafe on the corner with the decking built around the trees [lovely touch!]. We ordered the Rosti & the Green Eggs Benedict. Absolutely sensational food. We were the only people there and the service was quiet. Will be back though.

Was here for an afternoon. Great service from the staff and good vibes all over. I had the coffee with ice cream and it was very good and reasonably priced. Love to go here again. A great place to have a cup of coffee with your friends or a date. Good varieties on the menu.

Nice coffee shop selling beautifully plated food from fresh ingredients. I must highlight their Shakshuka as it was extremely appetising, fresh and healthy, I've already finished a big breakfast and just wanted to try it but I ended up finishing the dish and I didnt expect to finish both dishes but I did. Coffee was good and their service was fast.

Beautifully decorated cafe. Friendly staff, fluffy scramble eggs with vegetarian big breakfast. Its one our default breakfast place for the last 2 months.

I really enjoyed the natural atmosphere of the cafe. The service is friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our drinks and happy to see almond milk is available. Would gladly return.

Had the fish and chips and linguine. It was quite good. Service was great as well. They were attentive and nice. Plus the ambience was chill. Perfect for a sunday lunch.

Very friendly owner and staff. My husband and I love our Sunday coffee and hot chocolate drinks and occasional sweet treats from here.

Beautiful decor with wonderful outdoor seating area and perfect, hearty dishes and cutlery to complement their unique, balanced flavors and textures. I highly recommend the green eggs benedict for breakfast. I've never had anything quite so delicious and unique! The service was warm and friendly too.

Went with my partner and two dogs. Got a seat quickly as the place was a bit empty. Whilst we got the menu and waters quickly we weren’t told to order at the counter and there were no signs adv of that so that wasted a bit of our time. Went up to order and got the salmon and eggs, the big breakfast along with two caps. I asked the girl at the counter why their was a “v” next to a meal with bacon and asked if it was “facon” she adv no it just means they can take it off the plate. This was strange as you would think with most of the meals it would be a possibility but I love bacon so not my problem. I asked her to put mushroom on side and remove the spinach which she struggled with. Food came out quite quickly, was quite large in size and both my husband and I quite liked our meal. The coffee was good too. French style interior is quite nice. Negatives were that the Tables were a bit small n meals a bit pricey. Not sure if I’ll be back though due to location and lack of service in beginning.

Friendly service and decent food. When we ordered we were warned that there'd be a 30 minute wait which we were fine with. Turned out to be only 15 minutes.

The zucchini, pea and haloumi fritters were a little over seasoned but went well with eggs/toast. Omelette was a little overdone but tasty.

Feels like the kitchen has some good ideas just needs some refinement. Worth a try.

I don't usually write negative reviews and don't enjoy doing so, but felt compelled to leave feedback after the shocking customer service we experienced yesterday at this restaurant. I went to The Meeting House Café & Restaurant for the first time yesterday lunchtime - which will definitely be the last! After waiting almost an hour for our food, and despite asking their apathetic staff members numerous times where our food was, one of the items we ordered eventually arrived and the chicken was raw (see attached pic).
The manager (possibly the owner) was rude, indifferent and clearly didn’t seem to care, and we never received an apology from him or any of his staff members.
After requesting our money back, he gave us money back for the food we had ordered (and never got to eat), but he still charged us for the coffees… It might have been a nice touch if the manager/owner had offered us coffees on the house - given our negative experience – but then this restaurant clearly has no idea about Good Customer Service, which is a great shame. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I can’t review the food, as we never got to taste it.

We decided to check this place out for brunch through Groupon and even though it wasn’t busy, the wait for the food was long and my sons pancake took much longer than ours. Usually they focus on the kids meal first and get that out but his two burnt pancakes with some
Crumbs which we asked what it was as he is allergic to some tree nuts. The staff response from the kitchen was “dry roasted” what the hell is that supposed to mean?! She then went back and the response was the same. Luckily it wasn’t any nuts but my zucchini, pea and haloumi fritters were flavourless. My husbands roesti was a bit better but average at best.

I definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Slow service and kitchen couldn’t serve meals together. Waited 45 mins for fish and chips. Chicken came partly raw. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere.

Went there on Saturday morning around 10 and we were the only customers there
The staff was friendly
We ordered shakshuka and linguine. Nothing really stood out and the food was about average.

The food is really good and the staff was friendly and polite. My friends got linguine and I had risotto. It smelled so good and the taste was just right. Will comeback next time.

Terrible place, never go there again! We were waiting for more than 45 minutes for a wrap and zucchini fritters! Very bad service and food! Non existing customer service. The food was burnt, they even didn't apologised for the delays! If they don't have enough staff they shouldn't open the business in a first place!

Wasn’t too busy when I ordered my Chai Latte from here. Service is pretty good and the drink was reasonably priced at $4 for a large. Liked the taste of the chai latte.

Love the place, right into corner of young street, just opposite Hillsong, city campus.
Bought Picollo, earlier this morning, coffee is not too bad.
Haven’t try anything else, but the do breakfast and some pretty cake on the display as well.
