Loved every flavour except for earl grey it wasn't strong or it does not have a hint of it since alot of cream has overpower the flavour. Service was really good.
I have tried their Rose Lychee and Earl Grey flavors. Both of them have strong creamy taste. If you like creamy taste of dessert it will be a good option for you. But it’s easy for me to feel full after one bite of it. Of course all of their shapes is adorable!
A lovely cosy cafe selling the most popular animal shaped cookie choux puffs. They also offer customised cakes for all occasions.
The choux puffs are actually refashioned eclairs or profiteroles with cookie crusts, which provided a lovely crunch on the outside. The custard cream has got different flavours according to which animal it comes with. It’s is not overly sweet & obvious in flavours. They are fun & delightful to eat and Instagram worthy. 🐶🐰🐻🐼🐨🐯🐷🐧🐤
Fun, delicious and best way to enjoy a cup of coffee ☕️ what more can u ask for. These animal choux pastries are insane, each animal represents a different flavour and is filled to the brim with a delicious cream filling. I highly recommend u go more than once to experience each filling. Unbelievable concept and an awesome gift to give. ❤️
Stopping by my second most favourite shopping centre in Sydney, Regent Place, Queen V and I ran into one of her favourite bakeries in Sydney, Doux Amour, which had conveniently opened a pop up on the bottom floor. . Though I had never tried it before, seeing those adorable puffs was enough to put me into a super excited mood. Had it not been for the expensive price tag ($7 for ONE PUFF), I would have gone all out and bought one of every single flavour.
My sister brought me some and let me just say... the cookies and creme panda is yummmm!!!!!!!!! How cute are they? I am a sucker for all things cute and I hesitated upon eating them! The cookies and creme panda is actually so nice and not crazy sweet at all. My sister told me the pig was her favourite (lychee & rose) but she said in comparison to the panda she also tried for the first time, she didn't seem to like the taste of the pig anymore!
Loved this place! ❤️. It had the most cutest pastries, with the presentation stunning 😍🙌🏻, hands down best desserts to eat and would love I recommend it to everyone 😍👏🏻
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was no line. The service was excellent the guy at the counter was patient with all our requests and explained the different ingredients. The puffs themselves were very cute and the taste met our expectations. The price was slightly expensive at $7.50 per puff but worth it for a treat!
Stopped by at their city pop-up to try one of their much Insta creation. Top marks for creativity & cuteness. I got one of the sheep, aka Baa-Bara coffee. The choux bun was packed with cream inside, a lot of cream. The coffee flavour was subtle, so it taste more like a cream bun with a hint of coffee. The top of choux was a thick layer of chunky sugar, to make the sheep's hair, it was a bit sweet particularly in the chunky granules. Still a cute treat.

Finally tried the very cute choux pastries!!! I ordered the black sesame and the taro/ube. The fillings were very generous and light and I personally preferred the black sesame. The taro/ube was a tad too sour for my liking. I would recommend sharing these!!
Had seen these popping up on Instagram a while ago and finally got around to checking out the place. So cute. I chose the Nutty Freckle Bear - Nutella ($7.40), Miss 4 year old chose Blackie the Penguin - black sesame ($7.40) and Miss 1 year old chose Chai-ger the Tiger - chai ($7.40). All had nice choux pastry and generously filled. Miss 4 year old liked the choux pastry more than the fillings. I didn't mind them all but probably could have shared one. Miss 1 year old didn't really know what she was eating hehe. Also tried their Sweet Potato Latte ($4.60) which was nice. I think the first time I've seen this flavour around. Service was friendly and the space quite nice with books available for the kids to entertain. Some of the tables seemed to be used for storing things on and weren't quite set up for customers to use which did make the place seem like it was half closed.
Cuteness overload! We ordered the full set of cookie puffs, and it was a long wait for the puffs to be made ready. However, it was worth the wait. They have got these flavours: black sesame, chocolate, rose lychee, matcha, chai and taro. Matcha and rose lychee were my favourites. It's a good place to hand out with friends in a lazy afternoon.
So in love with this place! It so nice and cosy! the owners are very nice, warm and welcoming.
The animal choux are so yummy!!! every flavour has its own unique taste.
Only thing is you have to hurry or they sell out fast! A wide range of drinks a pastries, something for everyone. Price wise i think is fair with this area and they are freshly made in store. Will be returning again :)

Is it actually good?
Firstly I'm no expert on choux (puffs filled with flavored custody). If it had the texture of Tim Ho Wan's pork buns then I would give it 5/5, but it's definitely better than Chinese pineapple buns. The X factor is well, just look at them! The level of creativity and attention to detail of the wonderfully friendly pastry chefs has definitely graced the likes of Instagram. Not to mention the sheer amount of Asian and westerns flavors, chai was my favorite.
Will I go back?
Yes if I'm in the area, after branching at the incredible bread and circus or John Smith (down the road). For me, it's like Krispy Kreme, you go every now and then.
Final note.
Choux sell out after 12 noon on weekends (you have been warned!). Best bet is to get there early or go during weekdays.
What I love most about Doux Amour is the staff. The team are so friendly and have genuine interest in their customers, always happy to chat. They do some fantastic sweets and desserts and can really only think the lack of parking in the area leave these guys surprisingly quiet. The coffee is sadly only average and sometimes too bitter but could be comparison factor when chowing down on their desserts. It's a cute dessert cafe with a lovely fit out, and a photo wall of it's customers.
Quaint little place doing Asian inspired choux flavours like lychee, matcha and black sesame. I ordered the pig coz I am one and the penguin and bear for their flavours. Well presented and great attention.
Cutest chox pastry ever! Despite the increased prices, when we went 1.5hrs after opening, 2 flavours already sold out. By the time we left half an hour later, they sold out for the day, so be sure to get in quick! Next time we know to pre-order, so we can get all the flavours in one go. Choux pastry isn't a new concept, but when you match flavours with super cute animal designs, it turns into a new craze.
Nice cafe on a quiet area it was nice to chill on a sunny day. The puffs were so cute!!! They taste good too. Good coffee. The only thing was there were not many choices on their menu. There are only few kind of desserts.Hope to see breakfast, cakes or some snacks menu in future. That will make this place even better!

I had the Matcha Turtle (matcha filling), Nutty the Freckle Bear (nutella filling), Rosie the Pig (rose and lychee filling).
The cafe had a warm and cozy feel as I got served by the owner, making it feel very inviting.
Doux Amour is a cute cafe that specialises in cookie choux puffs filled with assorted flavours. It's located in Rosebery, next to Belfield on Botany, and is relatively new, having been open for a few months. In addition to the choux puffs, Doux Amour also offer customised cakes to order. . The menu offers a range of hot or cold drinks, including smoothies. Food-wise, there's Belgian waffles, macarons and eclairs too.
The adorable animal choux puffs from Doux Amour taste even better than they look!! They come in four delicious flavours - nutella, matcha, rose and black sesame - all equally light and tasty! The sweet potato latte is also a delight. All can be enjoyed in a pleasant space.
Dropped by last on Sat arvo and only had a choice between the matcha and rose/lychee choux puffs (just missed out on other options). Personally prefer the matcha one (found the rose/lychee one too sweet).
What is come into your mind when you heard words "Choux" or "Choux cream puff?"
For me, that words will remind me to the final episode of Junior Masterchef Australia season 1 where the grand finalist, Jack and Isabella have a pressure test to recreate Adriano Zumbo's pear perfection. I think that was my first time hear about choux but I never tasted choux until today. Fortunately my foodie friend, Gavrila asked me to join her to try a cute shaped choux cream puff in Rosebery area. I searched via Instagram hashtag about the place quickly and found some of famous Sydney foodies uploaded these cute items.
DO: Any of the cookie crunch cream puffs. Green (Matcha), Pink (Lychee).
DON'T: Forget to place them on the Instagram friendly table.
TIP: Arrive early since they do sell out quickly.
This place is amazing, service was awesome and the cookie puff was really good. The matcha was rich and miles ahead of those cheap artificial flavours that other places have. The Paris tea by Harvey & sons was amazing. We ordered an iced tea and got an extra pot of tea on the side so we could refill. One of the staff, Kevin, was attentive to our needs and was friendly enough to get our names and chat with us. It felt genuine and sincere, not a mere hi-bye greeting. I loved the decor and flowers they put. It was a good opportunity for photos 😄 Props to this cafe!
I just can't believe how such a cute puff could also taste so great! There is a reason for them to sold out so quick everyday, the piggy is my fav flav - rose and lychee. They are not overly sugared, but very different, refreshing and very surprising

Seriously so cute! Little cafe off botany road in Rosebery/Mascot that does coffees and croissants etc, but also some amazing eclairs! I just had to get them - too cute - fresh and fluffy with different fillings: back sesame, rose/strawberry, mint, custard. The designs are frog, teddy, pig and my favourite - the Penguins, which has a macaron on its head. Not only look good, they taste delicious too. They were pretty cheap for the effort I imagine them to take - $5.50.. once the place gets popular, I'm sure the price can go up! Lovely guy running the place - he said that he started them for fun and now getting so popular, he hopes he can meet up with the demand. It opens a bit late on the weekdays to go before work (10:30), so Saturday is your best bet .
A small heartwarming cafe with friendly and welcoming staff. The matcha puffs are adorable and the tarts are rich in flavour! Such a shame the other flavours ran out, but will be heading back!

Cute little cafe next to Belfield on botany. Good for drinks and treats! Their cookie puffs with cream inside is so lovely and not too creamy that it's just right. Had the Penguin (Sesame) and the Freckled Bear (Nutella), yet to try the Pig (Lychee & Rose Water) and the Turtle (Matcha). Heard they are better!
So adorable and cute. Its a bit pricey at $9 each but the fillings is delicious everything are well made and the custard inside light, not overly sweet just the way I like it. Also the customer service is very nice. I would come back for more.
Cutest and amazing choux pastries. They are made in the form of animals filled with multiple flavored cream custard. Their lattes are also incredibly delicious.
The Choux pastry was made to a high quality and looked cute. The customer service is great. We went a couple of hours before closure but there was still quite a bit of selection left. However, it is $9 per choux Pastry. I think it would be a dollar or two cheaper.

Taste is roughly medium, nothing special. It just because looks cute and represents cartoons. Every single doux has a different filling. Price is around $9 each.

You know - I think these guys are trying their best to make a good thing. I enjoyed the idea, but they just weren't tasty or have a nice mouth-feel. As in, if they're trying to make animal shaped Choux pastry, which I can only assume they are based on the name of this place, then they are making terrible Choux pastry. But, if they're trying to make animal shaped cute(ish) baked goods - they're okay. They're okay. They are wildly over priced, but I guess you're buying the novelty. And for that, it's okay.
