Review Mcdonald's Family Restaurants - Sydney

Fillet o fish meal pretty good. Bun was soft and fresh, chips cooked well and not over salted. Drive thru is busy and can be a bit slow

DO NOT EAT HERE major flooding in male toilets unusable without getting your clothes soaked. The disabled toilet has no lock ! I was walked in on while on the toilet, there was no note indicating the lock didn't work and it clicked as usual If this is the standards of the toilet I can't imagine what the kitchen is like (Photos pending for approval)

Absolutely, worst evening ever. I had recently heard about the Sonic 2 promo Happy Meal and saw it at McDonald’s earlier today. I came out of a show and was passing by and went; “well, I’m passing by and the toys are out, I think I’ll start my collecting journey now.” Boy, was I wrong. Not only was I absolutely PEEVED that they had used the model for the first movie, I did not receive a toy. At. All. I was looking forward to this collection for weeks, and this is what I was payed with. Not to mention the other two fans I spotted leaving with empty Happy Meals. I wouldn’t be surprised if I spot their complains later. The only thing that I had received tonight was a cheap 9-piece “fun bag”. Nine pieces of garage.

I don't know know what happened to the standards of this location. Maybe Covid. Two years ago this place, I felt, was one of the best Mecca's for quality. At the time I ordered a Big Mac and Fillet O Fish. Talk about juicy patties and fresh, soft bread and well assembled sandwiches. This time: I ordered a Big Mac and Fillet O Fish again. The sandwich was a mess. I dined in so the sandwiches didn't get thrown around from service window to my car and then in and around my car. The burger patty was dry, almost cold and the fish sandwich was about so so. I don't always eat Mecca's and this is why. I'll see what happens next time.

How bad is this McDonald’s ?! Whenever you order via Uber , the order has never been fulfilled , kids not receiving happy meals ( you’ll never get a toy) No straws on drinks , Wrong burgers or quantity . Absolute sham…

Drive through coffee was way too hot!!! Burnt my mouth then spilt as it was filled to the brim. Staff training on coffee is needed!!!

Hopeless. I made an order through drive-through paid for then when I didn’t get what I ordered they told me I only ordered one of them technically I said what I wanted so if they didn’t press the button to write it down and they should be giving it to me for free. Also they gave me my coffee not airtight so it opened when she gave it to me and spilled all over my car. They also had no idea what I was saying because I can’t speak English because they’re clearly from India and Nepal another annoying thing about this country

What service?!!!! I ordered on the LCD screen, which had no paper, so had no idea of my order number. I was expecting 4 items. I waited 10 minutes for the girl to call my order, which never came. I approached the counter and asked where my order was. One part had sat there in a back for 8 mins. Then the girl told me two of the items were not available, would I like a replacement? I said no, I will have a refund on 2 items but still take the one that was there and the McCafe Coffee. She yelled out to another girl to get my say latte, so I sat and waited for that. 10 mins later, I went to the counter to see where the coffee was, and it had been left on a counter 8 mins before, and they didn't know which order it belonged to. The drive thru was really busy, and there was chaos in the kitchen. My advice I'd to avoid this outlet and go to a Mecca's that cares about their customers rather than churning out orders.

It's a McCafe and it's terrible. The coffee wasn't the worst I've had but it was weak and watery while the scone was rubbery, the service was slow and the prices are above average for cafes around here.

Pleasantly surprised at their iced late! Better iced late than a few decent cafes I've been to, and it's a McCafe! I'll definitely be coming back. Great service by staff there and plenty of seating inside.

A few options here,I had the chipotle chicken wrap and surprisingly it was better than expected
We had cheese and Tomato sandwiches and other things and in general it's a little expensive for what you get
It's a popular place though

I’ve sold my soul to the devil. I’m reviewing an establishment that belongs to McDonald’s. Ok, jokes aside, I’ve been thinking about giving this place a go ever since they opened back when I was doing my undergrad at Sydney Uni but having a very good cafe on campus I never had the choice. Now that I’m back to the neighbourhood (I work at RPAH), I decided it was about time to see what they had to offer. Apologies in advance for the point-and-shoot photos.

Although the effort to be offer healthier food options is appreciated, we suspect that The Corner is really not all that healthy too. Moreover, we are somewhat disappointed by the change in the salad bar, which was such that you could choose what you wanted in your box/bun; now, the boxes/buns are all preset and the prices have increased. The value started off pretty low and now has only gotten lower. (At least it's better than most of the crappy food in the area and at the nearby hospital or university. We suppose that, for anyone living nearby, this would probably be not bad; however, the opening hours in the morning are quite late and the closing time in the evening/night is quite fairly early. Furthermore, you'd probably do yourself more good by eating at home, in terms of healthiness and cost effectiveness/money saving strategy.)

In terms of service, we cannot complain; however, from the opening week till now, we have felt that we have been served by rookies and there is always a feeling of too many cooks spoil the broth.

Ambience isn't bad but isn't good either. Anything located at this corner between John Hopkins Drive and Missenden Road is probably going to have this weird feel to us and would probably be awkward to anyone else.

Only major complaint about The Corner is that it does not open for more hours, particularly in the evening and at night. Being so close to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University, it would be good if the hours were extended a bit more, again, in the evening and at night.

Good news ... Ronald Mcdonald has ditched the clown suit and is wooing a more refined audience. The vehicle is The Corner by McCafe in Camperdown. Warming the chairs are value-conscious students and RPA Hospital food refugees. I'm right at home with my shoe-string budget and desire for a medically inoffensive lunch.

Surprisingly delicious lunch from McCafe concept store. Grilled chicken and aioli toasted sandwich with salted caramel shake (in a jar!). Sandwich ingredients were fresh and flavoursome and the shake was made with real ice cream (and had toffee chunks). Nice, clean cafe and table service. I want all maccas on a board now.

We were excited to discover this new McDonalds idea so we walked a few kilometers from work just to give it a try. At lunch time, the place is quite packed with customers as it's located close to the university and the hospital. What we found was the ordering process is quite confusing and because they are busy the staff rushes you through leaving you a bit frazzled. I suppose this is how people feel if they were ordering at Subway for their first time. Too many choices. My friend and I both ordered our salads with meat and at the end my plate / order was twice as big as his. I'm not sure why this happen. There's quite a lot of seating and the place is very clean as they're on top of that. The location will probably mean hardly any parking, only street parking available. It's a good idea but the food itself is quite average... nothing more fancier than something you'd get at a salad bar in a food court. The food serving for most was big enough that you can eat your lunch portion and takeaway the rest.

The food is good enough and the staff are always pleasant. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's filling and satiating. The drinks are definitely overpriced, but this is probably expected.

A few 'notes'. Hi guys

I am a daily customer from the hospital on the other corner. Today while waiting to collect my coffee I noticed a rag (which is used for wiping tables), just sitting on the front counter near the surviettes etc. NOT a good look. Also concerned about infection control. This is not the first time I have seen this. I reckon keep the rags out of sight!!!
Best wishes

Rubbish. Dropped in for breakfast, they were out of porridge pear, out of pesto chicken toastie. So we got our refund and settled on chamomile tea instead.

Next day, cashier gave me the wrong change. Questioned her about it, she got confused and panicked. Turned to her colleague and he gave me the right change. She gave me an extra $5 btw. Took my order and money for decaf latte and pesto chicken toastie. Waited for them - 5 mins later got told they don't have decaf coffee and are out of pesto chicken. One of the staff said sorry cause they were too busy. The cafe only had a 3 tables filled and a handful of takeaways. Got my refund. Walked away with a cold prepackaged wrap that was toasted.

Only went to the corner cause a family member was at the hospital next door. Will I ever return? Absolutely not.

Sham. Poorly trained staff. No system. Semi decent food. Only got to try the pre packed wrap though.

Hipster McCafe?. Not really but it is something different. Dropped in here a while back for breakfast - parking around hospitals, never easy. Staff looked good in their blue shirts and aprons. Had the corn fritters with avocado and fetta. I think it was some sort of tomato relish on the side. Have to say the best thing about this was the avocado. The corn fritters were pretty dry and not delish. The sticky date pudding was better - it's not going to set the world on fire in terms of Michelin stars but a nice sweet indulgence for breakfast although again, an overall commercial flavour. You're in a Maccas next to a hospital - this ain't artisanal city. They had a variety of things to drink - I took a Phoenix juice away. Best sight was seeing a patient haul himself in with his drip stand.

Gourmet Gumbo chose the pulled pork as her protein of choice, and was very pleased by its flavour. The meat was particularly stringy and every strand was bursting with delicious chipotle seasoning. The tomato chilli jam was seriously hot, and one mouthful needed to be doused with several mouthfuls of water. The addition of macadamia nuts added a lovely crunch to salads!

A cafe by any other name.... Dropped by for lunch at The Corner as I was curious at how it would stack up to its previous life as a McCafe. The minimalistic blonde interior is sleeker and the large trays of salad are new but these are all superficial. Beneath the gloss and earnest press releases, the food offerings are not that much different to the pre-made, mass-produced stuff that McCafe used to churn out. The daily salads are colourful but bland; the pulled beef was too sweet. The protein + bread combo was poor value due to the disappointingly small size. You're better off with the protein + salad option for just a dollar more, with much larger servings of salad and meat. The place is heaving at lunch on weekdays thanks to its proximity to RPA, the University and generous free wifi. Luckily there were more than enough staff to handle the crowds so service was fast and efficient.
