Loved their Nasi Goreng, very flavourful and packed with chicken and prawns. Great tasting food. The proportions are very verrrry generous, so it’ll be great for sharing. Great service as well :)
I personally love Papparich and it's common for me to always get the chicken curry roti! Can never go wrong. My favourite drink is also the Ribena with crushed ice, watermelon balls and lychee jelly. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Malaysian food!
By far my favorite restaurant in Sydney. Their menu has lots of choices, each meal sure to satisfy your taste buds. My current faves are the steamed chicken with egg noodles and hot milk tea. Also tried seafood laksa, red chicken with biryani rice and chicken skin--all good and tastes legit. Must try!
My friend took me to this place.I ordered Nasi Lemak and Curry chicken combo as you can see from the image. The latter was really nice,it seemed cooked for a long period as it filled with curry flavor, the chicken was juicy,I love it.Just a bit high for beverage but I think
Pretty solid place to dine in.
They always serve top quality food that always tastes good. Whenever I go, I usually order the roti with a side of fried chicken skin. Would highly recommend this. The roti has a slight sweet taste to it, so when it is dipped into the various sauces (sweet, curry, spicy) it actually tastes amazing.
However, their meals quite pricey (average ranging from $15-$17)
Overall, good food.
keep coming here at least once a month. my favourites are the laksa and pappa wat tan hor. Love the combination of the flat rice, the thick sauce and jalapenos. Yum! Roti cane honestly wasnt the best I've tried, rather a dissapointment. Not fluffy at all (soggy) and too oily. Will never buy the roti again. But will keep coming for the laksa and pappa wattan hor
I like coming here when I come to Bankstown. I enjoy the flavours of Malaysian cuisine when I am not eating middle eastern food. The traditional Kopi is really nice too!!!
It was a pleasant experience, food came fast and environment around us was clean. Would definitely come back again and try out some different dishes.
I love the foods here. The milk tea is one of the best second to chatime though haha.
I like the sata chicken and the rotti. Cleaned place. I will come back again
A modern version of the traditional coffee shops in Malaysia letting us into a richness of culture and cuisine. Absolutely evident in their Seafood Laksa, Beef Rendang with Roti and Caramel Sago Pudding.
Papa rich never fails to deliver bursts of flavour and colour maintaining an authentic mix of herbs, spices and fresh produce, cooked according to traditional recipes. From the fiery sambal of the Nasi Lemak to the silky smooth Curry Laksa broth, from the savoury Satay to the unforgettable Char Koay Teow, our food reflects the balance and harmony of the different cultures in Malaysia that have combined to give us the distinctive, unique taste of Malaysian cuisine.
We love this place! Evidenced by the fact that we ordered 5 dishes between two girls. Roti canai and satay chicken sticks; always a fave. And you definitely can't go wrong with the massive serving of fried chicken skin. Definitely our favourite place to get Malaysian.
Commend them for their service. It was lovely. Their food was good but some dishes were boring. I grabbed the roti canai $8.90 and it was really yummy. All the flavours were there. The drinks were $6.90 but weren't amazing but did its job. And yes I would come back.
Favourite paparich to go to! Food is always great and the service is even better!
Definitely recommend the red bean and green tea drink, really refreshing
Food is awesome! I eat here a few times a week since its re-opened. I love the traditional Malay flavours...the fried chicken and roti is my favourite! Service is great also!
Much better under the new management. Taste just like how Malaysian food should be. The waitering team still a little green, but should improve with time.
Under new management and still has Great food and Great service. Got to try the curries!
While you're there pop down to the supermarket on level B1. "Chapel road markets" has Super fresh and super cheap groceries!
The store has recently reopened under new management. The food was delicious, the service was quick and very friendly. I would definitely be coming back again 👍🏻
The fact that they have a whole section for vegetarian options, with options to omit animal products is really considerate of them! I've had a few of their vegetarian dishes, including the biryani and sweet and sour chicken. I found their portions to be quite small for the price, and their fake beef has a very dry texture. However, the flavour is pretty good. Their soya bandung drink is my favourite beverage from here. I love the atmosphere of the place too; their pleasant decor and well lit, warm lighting makes it very welcoming. It can get very busy though so I recommend booking a table if you're going during peak hours.
The food at PappaRich has made Malaysia a new addition to my countries to visit when able. This amazing family style restaurant has a huge selection of dishes and a warm atmosphere. We were as part of a large group to celebrate the reopening of the store. As such we managed to try a lot of the dishes on the menu. We loved the mix and fusion of flavours that made up the menu and how hard it would be to pick between the different options.
Our favourites were definitely the satay and roti dishes. These were large spreads with chicken, lamb or beef drenched in thick and tasty sauces and curries. The chicken and lamb skewers were definitely a hit. If you are looking for something individual then you may want to grab any of their laksas or noodle options. The Papa Char Koay Teow was the one that I kept coming back too. A thick style noodle with a nice seasoning of spice with prawns mixed throughout was beautiful. Your best options are to grab a couple of plates of everything and share with a table of family and friends. Another great feature of the menu here are the authentic Malaysian drinks on offer. I am not usually a tea guy but the lemon tea here was thirst quenching good.
For a snack you need to have the fried chicken skin. I was initially hesitant on this dish, however, after trying one of these delicious, crispy fried chicken skin bits I didn’t want to share.
This place has just reopened in Bankstown and is already a thriving restaurant again. We were there for a Sunday lunch and the place was packed with people walking in and out all afternoon.
First time visiting and we enjoyed it! Order your meal via notepads provided and ring the bell for staff to attend to your table.
Small let down was our meals coming out at different times. Not ideal for a group situation. One main arrived first then it was a 10-15 min wait before anything else arrived. We had the nasi lemak and biryani rice with curry chicken which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Serving sizes aren't the best for sharing but everything is priced quite well. To drink: the ribena melon and mango mania which were insanely sweet but very tasty. We loved the hainan toast with condensed milk and I loved mine with the kaya!
Unfortunately we weren't a fan of the chicken skins. Maybe we had a bad batch, but it just tasted burnt to me. I had to douse them in sweet chilli sauce to eat them.
Overall a very enjoyable experience. The menu has a great variety of food and drinks to choose from at great prices. Staff do well in a busy environment and we'd return.
One of my favourite places!
I love how everything is always so tasty and flavoursome.
Their drinks menu is quite extensive and they have a variety of food including roti/ laska/ noodles
I love their fried chicken skin, ROTI, Laska, hainam chicken, mango mania and topical lime!
You can't go wrong with paparich!!
The staff was friendly and the place was nice. I ordered the hainanese chicken and the quality was decent. I've had better hainanese chicken in the past so it wasn't amazing for me.

PappaRich is a restaurant chain which serves authentic Malaysian food in a casual but modern atmosphere. It started in Malaysia (which has 70 outlets!) and came first to Melbourne and now Sydney has several outlets. We visited the Bankstown venue on a Saturday afternoon for a media event. You will find it on the side of Little Saigon Plaza and the parking is quite good. The menu is visually appealing and quite easy to read. There are plenty of appetizing pictures to help you make your choice and the beverage menu, while there is no alcohol, has a wide variety of interesting drinks. There are some fascinating chilled tea and coffee options and soybean drinks, some of which don’t look familiar at all. I chose a fresh watermelon juice and Dame T had a Lychee Soda. Both were sweet and hit the spot.
Papparich opened up in Little Saigon Plaza, Bankstown's newest shopping and food precinct. Only a short walk from Bankstown station you can see Papparich opposite Bankstown Tafe. You've all seen and heard about the amazing food Papparich has to offer from us before (like their deep fried pappa skins) so let's get straight into it!! If you've missed our reviews previously, here are the links for your convenience. Papparich Parramatta with Poh: link and Papparich Parramatta: link

Malaysian cuisine is a multicultural melange of influences from Thailand, China, Indonesia and India. If you’re not already acquainted with Malay food, the PappaRich chain are a great place to start your journey. Their latest (and Australia's twentieth) venture is located in Bankstown’s newest shopping and food precinct, Little Saigon Plaza. Also housing an office of Settlement Services International who support asylum seekers and refugees, this modern plaza boasts its own melting pot of cuisines, including another Sydney CBD favourite, Chefs Gallery.Listing over 160 items, the menu at PappaRich can be overwhelming unless you’re dining with a group where you can really go to town. If you’re eating solo, the Pappa Special: Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken and Sambal Prawns ($16.50) gives you a nicely balanced meal, with lots of diversity. The two dishes are presented with an array of sliced cucumber, fried anchovies and peanuts, and a hard-boiled egg around a mound of fragrant coconut rice, accentuated by a dab of sambal (a rounded chilli sauce).Pappa Chicken Rice with Steamed Chicken ($13.90) also works as an inexpensive meal-for-one, with tasty chicken rice, chicken soup, bean sprouts, and boiled chicken slices with chilli/ginger and dark sticky soy sauces for dipping
This is the place to be if you want delicious malaysian cuisine. Food comes out very quickly and are very decent servings. I highly recommend N13 Pappa Wat Tan Hor and ST05 Satay mixed .
Initial rating and visit and hope on a return visit I can rate higher. Hubs enjoyed his Nasi Lemak however my Roti Canai with tandoori chicken which was a little dry and not the best Roti.
Awesome is just the word for this restaurant, right from the way we order dishes to speed at which it is served... Prices are very reasonable and the taste is good.. pic rep of each dish in menu just makes the ordering so much easier....
Recommended for all.. for those who haven't visited you are missing some good food .... go and explore...i am sure you will not regret....
Efficient ordering system, great restaurant with amazing penang laksa which reminds me when I was last there in Penang! Good variety of dishes.
Went here last night for dinner with couple of friends. It has a nice set up at little Saigon Bankstown. First time trying Paparich. I really enjoyed it. Absolutely love the lime lychee and ice cream drink. The food was simple but I enjoyed it. They also have a service button on each table so you don't have to call out to them if you need anything. I like that idea.
Buttery, flaky roti and chicken curry, tek tarik, huge beer mugs of drinks – Malaysian comfort food for the masses. Malaysian restaurant chain Papparich have opened up a restaurant in the suburb of Bankstown. With an abundance of Vietnamese food in this suburb of ‘Little Saigon’ I think it’s always nice to have a bit of variety in cuisine.
Ordered my favourite steamed chicken with chicken rice - absolutely divine, the rice is well infused with chicken broth. The Roti Planta comes with 3 dipping sauces and is quite crispy with has a delectable sweet syrup like interior - the combination of sweet and savoury blows my mind. Sadly the char kway teow wasn't available that night so we were offered an alternative to this with similar ingredients only with a spicy kick and thicker noodles. Not bad but prefer thinner noodles
Papparich has always been a favourite of mine so it was great news to know that the chain was now located so close to my home. The best part of Papparich has always been the relative low cost and consistent food. Chicken rice with steamed chicken. Nasi lemak with beef rendang. The chicken rice is a great start to the meal with tasty chicken and delicious soy and chilli sauce on the side. I’ve also always enjoyed the nasi lemak simply because it feels like a well balanced dish with many different ingredients. The coconut based rice is also a very nice addition.
Its great to have a Malaysian restaurant in the new Little Saigon Village; its super convenient to get to and service was pretty good. I found the prices abit expensive, but not anymore expensive than other Malaysian restaurants. For example for 6 satay sticks, its about $12+ (over $2 a stick!) and a small bowl of Hor Fun is $13+. Overall it was a great meal with good service.
New restaurant in town and they have my favourite milo dinosaur. Tasted just right on spot! Loved it. Affordable and serving portion was just quite big.
This place had the most amazing food before but now the taste isn't as good but still enjoy a Malaysian meal every now and then. Friendly staff and good service though.
Great flavour and great value. Curry's are really tasty with a nice bit of kick, while not being too spicy for a white girl. Roti is delicious, and the chicken skin will have you picking at it even when you really can't fit anymore in. Staff are pleasant and helpful with the order form you fill in at the table. Food comes out pretty quickly, and is reasonably priced. Can tend to get very busy so be aware of that. Great restaurant!
Big fan of Papparich the laksa was packed with flavour and very generous serving, the roti is so flakey and the sauces were addictive!
Classic Malaysian cuisine with nasi lemak served with a giant piece of chicken thigh. Char Kway Teow is a 'must-try' item. I absolutely loved the toast and egg combination too. Delicious food that brings me back to my memories.
Very nice place for Malaysian food taste. Staffs are friendly and food really taste good. Just try their dumplings and juice. Signature dishes are awesome. Good price reasonable. Overall excellent.
