This is "the coffee place"..
1) one of the best coffee I taste in town..
2) food is fresh and simple
3) I like the "particulary" interior design, rich of details and who choose the music have really a good taste!
4) good service, I feeld very comfortable!
5) ...see you again ;-)
Best coffee place in Sydney, great food that's very delicious and the employee's are very nice.
I checked it out for the first time today and it definitely left a good first impression. I am what most (including myself) would call a coffee snob so I was definitely appreciative to see a wide range of blends available.
I tried both an espresso and a cappuccino and both were beyond my expectations. I also ordered a bacon and egg roll and it was a tasty. nice change from the typical offerings at most cafes.
Service was nice, all staff were friendly, even when I asked about some of the coffee making equipment they had for sale.
I look forward to going back
Lucia's coffee is perfectly made every time and her natural smiley personality is a lovely greeting in the mornings xx Bec
Went to this cafe every day in Sydney. Awesome service, great aromatic coffee, and discounted food for takeaway!!!!
Food wise, I’ve tried the feta avo on toast for breakfast and chicken salad for lunch. Definitely will need to try the dinner menus and $10 espresso martini’s on my return.
Always come back for the coffee - made with care, the taste is savoury, full body and not fruity nor citrus tasting. They toast their own beans and have many blends on offer. Service is friendly and efficient. 😁
Love the place and the friendly staff, great service and always a great place to hangout with friends. The must order signature dish is risotto, flavorful and creamy. Second time has been there and never disappointed. Will be there again for sure.
Di Bella is located in the serious coffee end of town in Holt Street, Surry Hills. Whilst I do enjoy a good cup of java I confess to not knowing that much about coffee; except for the fact that i really liked my skim cap here and it certainly wasn't burnt! Love the fact that the beans are roasted on the premises and that Di Bella is Australia's largest specialty coffee roaster, having started as a small operation in Brisbane back in 2002! Shared a very spicy Penne Arrabbiata and a chickpea and grains salads. Delicious and nutritious!
The chicken wrap was good .Come here for coffee sometimes, They have a wide variety of coffee options. Good place for breakfast too. They sell coffee beans too. The decor is pretty good too.
They have a nutribullet blender, which puts out about 80 - 90 decibels, so very noisy and wrecks the ambience of this place. Good coffee spoiled by that darned blender wreaking havoc on the eardrums.
Had our random lunch here. The pasta was SUPER delicious. The girl at the counter was so polite to us. And we had our take away coffees, the coffee was incredible!great coffee, great food and great service!
There’s a massive coffee roaster in the middle of the room and an area out the back where you can sit and learn about alternative brewing methods.
It has been a few years since I was last at di Bella , the decor may not have changed but the food and coffee has . It has grown and improved incredibly . Nicely done ! Will try and be back sooner

Beautiful coffee and beautiful cafe!! This one is a great place to chill out during the weekday. Service is great and staff is friendly. This is one of my hidden weekday gems for reading and writing where i come in the morning and multiple coffees later leave in the afternoon.
Perfect coffee. Breakfast was a reasonable price and generous serving. Eggs cooked perfectly. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating when we asked for sour dough instead of brioche, even when they'd already served our meals.lovely place for a long lazy sunday morning breakfast, quiet chilled out surrounds. The cakes looked divine and if we weren't flying interstate that afternoon, we certainly would've come back.
Visited two mornings in a row. This is how much I liked it. Tried their tap filter lineup, piccolo, long black. I’ll have to say, the coffee is a tiny bit on the disappointed side given how high of an expectation I’ve had. Food wise, delicious! Chicken toasties, and the corn fritter, simply lovely.
Finally get a chance to get here after only having Single O coffees from other wholesaler. Staffs are amazing! Super friendly, Bubbly and Knowledgeable. Daily Fright is the must-have here! Very reasonable price Specialty Coffees. Would love to try their food next time.
Went there in the morning, coffee was good, food was good. Would wanna go back again. They have a bunch of beans that they roast by themselves I believe. The time I went there were only outdoor seats as they didn’t open up the shop - but that might have changed now. Anyway, keen to come back here again soon.
Some of the most delicious coffees, the Single O beans got me on a journey of brewing at home.
I finally got up to the Surry Hills Cafe and it was a treat, the filter flight was amazing as was the pork toastie.
Staff were super attentive and friendly
I also picked up a packet of the Parachute brews which are super useful for getting really amazing coffee when all you have near is a kettle
Came here for coffee twice while visiting Sydney. Lovely staff, even better coffee and overall a really nice experience. I also really enjoyed the little Easter egg in the doorbell - put a big smile on my face! 😁
The milk bun with bacon and egg was incredible. The bun was so light it was really just a vector for ingesting yummy bacon and egg and the mayo had a nice heat and just added to the whole experience. Coffee was delicious. I love the way they used the wall opposite in the alleyway for street art and then repeated the motif on the pillar inside the bar area.
Visiting Single O in Sydney 🇦🇺 was an amazing experience when it comes to pure black single origin coffee.
It doesn’t take long to realize that Australia is a espresso based milk beverage country. According to the Square Coffee Report 2019, 74% of all coffees served in a café were milk beverages (latte: 27%, flat white: 25%, cappuccino: 20%, and piccolo: 2%). That is massive compared to other countries. This is also why the baristas here in Australia are milk texturing robots.
Single O launched an interesting black coffee model to emphasizing on the purest way to enjoy coffee – single origin black coffee: TAP-IN: “We launched black coffee on tap at our Surry Hills café in early 2019. The Freepour™ Taps were created to shake things up at the coffee bar, in the name of single origins. (Which we’ve had a thing for since 2003.) We set about to give pure black filter coffee as much precedence as the espresso machine. The result was a self-pay self-serve, coffee on tap system, front & center, at your fingertips.”
I enjoyed a tasty single origin coffee from Costa Rica – Finca La Manita. While sipping this coffee chilled on ice, I enjoyed reading about their farm trip to Fina La Manita in 2013. It is always great to see when roaster engage in long-term relationships with farmers.
I also liked the colorful chairs to sit outside against the nicely spray-painted wall. And one little extra: they made sure, that I won’t run away with the toilet key. Too big to run! And one more thing: it is also nice to see, that many cafés are using recycled toilet paper. The details make the difference.
A big thank you also to the baristas for their great hospitality and the time to explain the TAP-IN system, that was cool. THANK YOU.
