Great portions with fresh condiments. The bun was soft and chewy, very good.
Love this place, the pork and chicken baos are full of flavour and texture. The perfect lunch or snack paired with a delicious side of sweet potato fries

Bao’s are certainly something we find hard to resist. Fluffy pillows filled with tasty delicacies and a tangy sauce always gets us going. Mr Bao Buns has set up shop in the bustling Darling Square precinct inside The Exchange. You know the building, it’s the one with the skewed timber spirals circling around the outside. It really does stand out.
This is one of the many food outlets in Darling Square. The chicken gua bao was really good. For sides, the cheeseburger spring roll and fries were pretty good too. Service was friendly and fast so it would be a great place for a quick takeaway lunch or dinner.
Used a groupon for this magnificent feed. The unique thing was the cheeseburger spring roll, which tasted exactly as described. Service and location was great!
Actually really enjoyed this stall to return and try the pork buns. Really nice sweet potato fries, I enjoyed how freshly made and tasty the meals were. The Groupon deal was pretty good for an introduction to the style of the booth.
The famous Mr Bao, now i know why their pop up store on Noodle Night Market had huge attention and got the longest queue. I tried Gourmet Pao ($25), with wasabi prawn tempura, Vietnamese beef and roasted duck. Three of them was superb. The filling very tasty, the pao very soft and fluffy like pao should be. Def come back next time 👌🏻
Must try! Very delicious yet affordable

The baos are high quality, full of flavours and textures 😋. The buns were very soft. I recommend the crackling pork belly 💥, it was very crunchy. The bulgolgi beef was very tasty, and karaage chicken 🍗 was good but not my favourite.
I also had to give the cheeseburger 🍔 spring rolls a try, it sounds weird but it was pretty good.
The price of the baos does feels pretty steep ($6.5 each) but you can get 40% off using eatclubapp 😮
The service needs some work because of how it is set up. There was a long line when we went and a lot of people waiting around the corner for their baos, so it was crowded and hard to move through. A lot of people seemed confused about who was lining up to order or who was waiting for food.
Loved their pork belly bao!! They’re quite generous woth their servings but price is a bit steep for the bao. Their salad is pretty worth it.
Ordered 4 baos: Pork belly, fried tofu, beef and Fried chicken. All four were well made and delicious, but my favourites were definitely the pork belly and fried chicken. The pork belly crackling was perfectly crisp and the meat super
soft! Definitely well accompanied by the coriander and hoisin. The fried chicken was succulent and crisp and went perfectly with the mayo. The tofu and beef were both definitely worth a try too - all their baos seem high quality and freshly made (which is pleasing, given each is $6.50). Would definitely revisit
Overall:
Taste: 8.5/10
Presentation: 9/10
Value for money: 7/10
Sink your teeth into the juicy baos from Mr Bao. No lack of flavour and texture, and the size of the bao is bigger than those you find elsewhere. Felt the slaw was a bit too creamy and heavy but otherwise a nice meal.
Bao tastes good and fresh, but meat is too fatty! I prefer no fat on my meat. Pork crackling has crackling that is too hard that it hurts my teeth, but flavors taste good. Karage chicken bao is good. Beef bao is too fatty so I don’t like. I like the veggies in it cuz it’s fresh. the puffy white bao part is fluffy and warm which tastes good.
Cole slaw salad with karage chicken and sesame dressing is great, I liked the mushrooms in it and chicken had great flavor. I would order this again.
Sweet potato fries r good. I like the sauce on it.
Fried Cheese burger spring rolls r average. It not for my pallet.
Service is very good and friendly.
Main complaint: meat is too fatty.
