Great rolls, cool fitout, charming service.. a hidden gem in Redfern.
Best bacon & egg roll in Sydney, hands down! Anthony & Rosie have taken Vietnamese classics to another level. So glad these guys are in Redfern.
As soon as I walked in, John greeted me with an energetic smile and welcome. Food was amazing, they provided a good and fast service

I got the crackling pork belly banh mi, it was perfect, highly recommend for lunch. The bread roll was crunchy and had a solid amount of delicious, crispy pork belly. The veggies tasted so fresh, and the amount of spice was great.
Loved the atmosphere and service here, everyone was welcoming and warm. The food was amazing and a just right portion. Especially loved the unique taro latte which was just the right sweetness and was very aesthetically pleasing as well. I would definitely come back again!
Have been on my list for a while now, decided to swing by when I was nearby. There was a group ahead that took a while to order and I was right on time. I lined up nevertheless to cross it out of my list. The kitchen area was approximately equal to the indoor dining area. Minimalistic, modern and monochromatic interior design. The cashier was friendly when he took my order. I sat at the bar table with a little tag, the only thing between me and the street was a large glass pane.
Chicken bowl with vermicelli was my final choice. It was served on an enamel plate and emphasised the colourfulness of the vegetables. You can eat it however you would like, leave each element as is or just mix them up together. The chicken was succulent and well seasoned. It contrasted well with the light and fresh noodles. The sweet and sour sauce then brings them all together. The only complaint I have would be to add a little more sauce and maybe crush the chilli into the sauce to get an even distribution. Enjoyed the meal and happy to come back again.
Was spotted by the barista from outside while I was looking for a menu. I'd walked past during building and loved the name. As I was on the move I just wanted a drink so I opted for a skim Tarro Latte as we discussed burgers and being Westies. Was great fun. Would return.
A great concept and addition to the local area but not without flaws. Thoughtfully created and carefully limited menu and great coffee. Food portion size is small, but sadly not in a delicate way, just small... and seems to vary according to who dishes up. Lots of staff but none attentive, not naturally geared to hospitality, possibly having a go at something new. Hoping to see it improve and thrive.
Yellow Fever – a beautiful café located in Redfern specialising in modern Vietnamese cuisine, serving up stellar coffee on the side. Owners Anthony and Rosie Nguyen’s menu focuses on freshened up versions of the holy trinity – Báhn Mì, Vermicelli salads and rice paper rolls. If there was a number in their name it should be 24 – all their meat is marinated for 24 hours and then cooked on a charcoal grill to add a smoky slightly caramelised taste that works well with the marinades.
Great food and amazing coffee! The service was incredible too, they made us feel comfortable and looked after us the whole time. They explained the coffee to us, where the beans came from and how it was traditionally served.
Loved stumbling across Yellow Fever
Yellow Fever is a must for lunch at least once a week at work - Vermicelli Bowl with Nem Nuong is my favorite! Friendly staff, yummy food and good vibes all around x
A friendly cafe with decent coffee and really good baked products. The brownies are especially good.
I've had lunch here too and the vietnamese baguettes hit the spot
