Absolutely loved this place! Degustation menu which is beyond outstanding. You can select a 3, 4 or 5 course. The food is fine dining and delicious. Highly recommended

Attended a wedding here on Saturday and it is a truly charming spot. The food was top shelf, absolutely delicious! They made vegetarian options for me and it was truly tasty.

Absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception venue with gorgeous character inside and out. Jacinta, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute gem – she was all over every detail and nothing was too much trouble. Andrew, the chef, is easily the best in the region and our guests were blown away by his food. We could not have wished for a better place to celebrate our wedding.

CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS UNTIL AROUND AUGUST. This is an amazing little restaurant. It doesn't seat many so bookings are highly recommended. It's very cosy and has a romantic ambience. The service is really good and the food is great. It's on the expensive side but that's justified.

My fiancée and I got married here recently. It was a great set up with the chapel for the ceremony and venue for the reception afterwards. Jacinta was very professional and guided us through the process of planning the details for the reception, and also handled all the details on the day so we weren't distracted from our special day. Highly recommended.

My husband and I (Allison and Henk van der Lei) had the pleasure of dining at The Old Church last night, which was highly recommended by our B&B host Kay (Amore B&B). What a beautiful restaurant with both amazing indoor and outdoor settings. Thank you so much to Dan - our friendly, down to earth, good natured host, and to Andrew - Chef. We ordered the Slow roasted five spiced Duck and Char siu braised Pork belly - our taste buds were in heaven :-) Thank you so much to The Old Church team. We highly recommend you and will return again with friends x

A beautiful venue that is well run. Plenty of garden and lawn area for photos after the ceremony. I look forward to returning. Cheers, Andrew Sinclair - Brisbane Celebrant

What a wonderful night. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary so it was a very special occasion.. We could not fault the food, service or the wonderful restaurant. We shall return.

Dined on a Monday night and had the place virtually to ourselves. The mains are a little on the spendy side but the quality justifies the price.
The five spiced duck was cooked beautifully and my wife had the venison which was devine.
Being dairy intolerant deserts are always difficult, however the chef was more than happy to whip up a meringue and fruit alternative which I gobbled!
Naturally being the only ones there the service was very attentive!

The old church has been transformed into a stylish restaurant and delightful function centre that serves for weddings and other celebrations. The menu focuses on classic pork, beef, fish and veal dishes as well as pasta and vegetarian options with a French/Italian influence. The slow cooked pork belly was melt in the mouth texture with superb accompaniments of white beans and haloumi. Venison medallions were tender and included celeriac puree with a delicious reduction mushroom star anise flavoured jus. Crisp vegetables were provided to share. An alternative is to try two entrees as all meals come in two serving sizes. For sheer indulgence, a degustation menu proves a taste of 6 dishes for $85 with optional matching wines for additional cost. The extensive wine list has local wines competitively priced with Australian and imported offerings at not unaffordable prices, although this is a fine dining style establishment so expect higher end pricing. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive to needs and a cosy fire adds to the ambiance on cooler winter nights. All in all a worthwhile visit for that special occasion.

Degustation menu - an amazing food experience. We went to the Old Church restaurant on the advice of our accommodation owners and decided on the spur of the moment to treat ourselves to our first degustation menu. Food choices are left entirely up to the Chef although you can say if you have any particular dislikes eg offal in our case. We chose a four course menu with my friend also adding the matching wines and every dish was absolutely superb. For two fairly small women the serve sizes were spot on with reasonable gaps between the serves and a longer gap between the third course and dessert, which was just perfect to have a wander around and let the previous courses digest. It was a culinary adventure and we would recommend this restaurant and particularly the degustation menu to anyone. Fabulous!!

Best beef I've had in a long time. Perfectly roasted vegetables and meat cooked to perfection in wine sauce, 5 stars!

Unbelievably good food!. We had the beef and Gnocchi, and sticky date pudding for dessert, everything was incredible, as good as any food we have ever eaten, portion sizes and pricing were fantastic as well

Wow!!!! What a little gem!!!
We went to this restaurant on recommendation for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed.
The setting was beautiful with the open fire lit, lovely background music playing & few candle lit tables.
The service is not to be faulted, our waitress was friendly & tentative.
The food = AMAZING!!!! Don't be fooled by the size of the dish as the quality & flavor is devine.
We can not speak highly enough of this restaurant and will be telling everyone about it. Hopefully we return to this beautiful little gem in the not to distant future.

We absolutely loved the food here. We got the 6 (or7?) course degustation that the chef makes up on the night. Every course was to die for. I can't say how much we loved the food at this place! It is somewhat pricey, but it's worth it for food of this calibre.

My New Favourite. First things first... If you come here wanting a 20oz steak with chips and gravy - go to a pub. If you have to gulp your food before the dog gets it, stay at home.

On the other hand, If you know which fork to use during a meal; can eat without your mouth open; know the meaning of quality and have that special someone in your life that is worth a shower, a shave and a night at a good restaurant - then this is the place to go.

I will say that the quantities are not huge for a meal but they are so magnificently prepared that you eat it at a gentle pace and savour every bite - because every bite is worth it.

The Old Church has room for twenty-five tables but they set ten with plenty of room between them so that you can have conversation without hearing that of others. The fireplace and lounge area is perfect for the after-dinner coffee (or port). The service on the day we went was polite, regular and excellent.

I had never had pork belly as good as this -- they then had me decide that I had a new favourite venue for sticky date pudding. If you like cheese, the cheese platter is excellent value for money.

Considering the money charged at other places on the mountain, I would gladly return for some fine fare instead of the pub grub at other places at not too dissimilar prices.

Excellent.

Unforseen difficulties!. Used the "book online" link above...this indicated a confirmed booking.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for the Christmas-New Year break.

It was only as we set out for dinner that we received an email advising us of this (as it seems poor mobile telephone reception had led to an attempt to call us that morning being unsuccesful).

A local hidden gem. Warm your belly with a wine in front of the fire before one of the many great meal options. The irish waiter was lovely. $16-$36 with a theme if quality of quantity.

We had the 4 course degustation menu. Fantastic food particularly the pork belly. Absolutely first class!

6 peices of pasta is all we got in a main meal. I left still hungry. Otherwise very nice setting and gourmet style. Also liked the dukkah mixed with hummus appetiser. Serving size did disappoint unfortunately
