A cosy welcoming restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, a definite step up from a lot of the tex mex you find. The taquitos were amazing and the mole poblano truly yummy. All our group loved their dishes and went home with very full tummies. A great food experience and a lovely night out.
A great night at El Burrro. Superb Mexican food and great staff. Terrific atmosphere. Sharing plates with great company was a perfect meal. So fresh and plentiful. Frozen Margheritas were awesome. Will be back again. Well done guys.

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Australia. When I see Mole sauce and achiote on the menu I just know I’m walking into the real thing. The service was ace and the tequila and margaritas were on point. You have to try their homemade hot sauces. My absolute favs were the Reaper and Ghost Chilies.
We ordered the chili bowl, enchiladas, and kids’ cheese quesadilla.
We will definitely come back again before we head home.

Stayed up the mountain for 2 nights and went here both nights in a row.
Food is good, staff are great and sauces are awesome.
Most exciting meal we've had in a long time.
Easily the best Mexican we have ever had. The range of chilli sauces was to die for and my favourite was the sizzling steak fajitas. Our meal was completed with shots of Caramel Tequila and Churros. Customer service was second to none and the setting was very quaint and personal. My only regret is not finding this place sooner.
Amazingly delicious, fresh and high quality food. So much flavour in everything and was served hot and quickly. Even the corn chips offered before the mains were delicious. The frozen margaritas are so nice and refreshing too, served with a metal straw and cup which kept it so cold. The decor and music is lovely and the staff are so friendly, energetic and kind. Loved this place and will definitely be returning! Favourite Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to.
"That's quite expensive for a Mexican restaurant" was probably the first thought that went through my head when initially looking through the menu. It'd really better be a special experience when a simple bowl of nachos is up near $30. A few different things went into my decision to still rate these guys 5/5 though: The service was fabulous, the selection of home made hot sauces (accompanied by an excellent explanation) was extensive (seriously, they have 6 different hot sauces), and the supplied poncho + sombrero combo to lighten the mood. It was a little strange, but the hot sauces made my head sweat, and the bowl of chilli was excellent.
My son and I enjoyed a great dinner. We are from Arizona, so we know good Mexican food. This is a great restaurant, with great service, and Margaritas. The 6 sauces are all good if you like spice.
We were looking for a restaurant to have the lunch on Sunday and just hopped in to El Burro. The staff were so friendly & provided us a table in a nice place even though we didn't have a booking. The food was great. the best Mexican I have ever tried in QLD so far. Fabulous Mexican themed ambiance with nice photo opportunities. Excellent spot, excellent service & will definitely visit again.
