Review Cedar Creek Estate Restaurant - Tamborine Mountain

Overall the venue & location are great. Wines have more of an inclination to the sweeter side which makes sense with QLD weather. However, that’s it. Food is sub-par got the Beef Cheeks for lunch. Potatoes were re-hydrated frozen ones. The Sauce was plainer than flour and the beef felt like it was just being reheated and reused. Salt & pepper squid the sauce was the only vital point of flavour. Once again Venue and location is great. But keep away from the food.

A gorgeous place to have lunch. We sat outside with stunning views of the garden and enjoyed delicious food and wine. I will definitely be back.

A great day out. Visited the glow worms, fascinating little critters. Loved the lizards wandering around. Lunch on the deck, would have liked a little more attention from the serving staff for drinks. Something for the kids, something for the grown ups. Not to much walking, and stable underfoot for mobility issues. A lot of standing in the glow worm cave though.

Great food and wine! I had the vegetable stack and its pairing wine. Live music and the smell of roses for a Sunday lunch is such a pleasant experience :)

Amazing wedding venue. I was part of the Bridal Party on the weekend and I can’t sing their praises enough. From the moment the bridesmaids and I arrived at the chapel to leaving the spectator reception the staff went above and beyond for the bride and groom. Definitely recommend the Picturesque Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery and their amazing team.

The winery staff and products get 5 stars Kerry our guide was a fountain of knowledge and helped us make wise choices to take home we will certainly be back to the winery side. Lots of lovely wine highly recommend the bubbly and ports The scenery and setting is amazing too and really interesting to look round frog hollow and meet Murray the turtle. The restaurant service however felt very rushed and impersonal - we chose a set menu as we believed it included the wine tastings at our table it did not, we had preordered but that hadn’t been relayed to the service staff and to be honest I wish we’d gone alacarte. The Thai Barramundi was very light on taste and no coconut in the coconut rice. The deserts were delivered to the table before we had all finished our mains and just dropped in front of us the set menu is alternate drops of Pavlova or brownie both were apparently very nice deserts according to my companions none of this information was forthcoming from the servers or from information when I called to book. We’d also requested a table outside but got put in the extension indoor area. All in all we would return but probably would look to take a picnic lunch, they do cheese platters to take away from the winery area instead of the restaurant sadly.

Very rushed. Lady that served us just gave us a tasting and left, did not explain or have any character anything to that degree and on top of that we were served each wine from the same glass. Could still taste the original wine mixed with each new wine. Not offered water to rinse either. For my first time experiencing this I am sadly disappointed.

Surprisingly decent vino and a good port. Had semillon sauv Blanc (their best wine in my opinion with port their close 2nd best) with tasty garlic prawns in cream sauce. Great place to go to after mt tamborine skywalk :)

$29 for a duck salad = 4 small pieces of DRY duck and a salad so bland I couldn’t eat it! I have had better salads out of a packet at Coles! Luckily they have good wine! Drink the wine, don’t eat the food!

You would think that you were a million miles from anywhere when you dine here. Lovely peaceful country setting overlooking a lake, with friendly waterdragons and birds adding to the serenity. My choice of dish (mussels) were a bit stringy, but the tomato sauce that accompanied it should be bottled so patrons can take some home. Barramundi was great so were the chips, salad was average. Desert was to die for and service was 5 star. Will be back.

I have to say, I was looking forward to a meal with a view. Let me story tell the chain of unfortunate events: As we arrived they said they would clear a table for us, as we wait, we another group walk in (same size of 5) and they sit them immediately. We are seated, after we ask what is happening. With I nice table, we order our entree, drinks and mains all at once as we are starving. The bread comes, with dips, it was good but 20 bucks for 5 pieces of bread. at that point we ask for water for the table. We wait for about 20 mins, and someone comes past and asks if we are ready for our mains. And our obvious response is yes! We also would like our wine considering this is a winery! Finally they bring out the food and wine and a bottle of water (with no glasses to drink from) Ohh and the food!!! Is horrible. The price I paid for a bit of checked and two veges!!! No flavour. And the steak sandwich was full of fat. I was gagging at the look of it!! In short, stay away.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Cedar Creek Winery from start to finish with organising our wedding vow renewal. Donna was absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The actual renewal day was perfect and everyone raved about how fantastic the meals were. Thank you so much Donna and Cedar Creek Winery for making our vow renewal day so wonderfully special and for the memories that we’ve created.

Was lovely to meet Mr Penglis and his beautiful staff. Lovely wine tasting. Couldn't help but buy a couple of bottles of your fine wine. Highly recommend this stunning vineyard and the Glow Worm Cave 😄

Just had lunch here with my family and was appalled by the service. I recommend the staff be trained in serving customers as their service is way way way below standard!
