My two grandsons and I had lunch at Cafe Retro when in Tamworth last Wednesday to attend a medical appointment. The boys had originally wanted to go to Maccas for lunch but after having in their words "the best milkshakes they have ever had" as well as a great lunch they are looking forward to returning to Cafe Retro. I am an adult who cannot tolerate gluten and was hoping for a something nice to eat as I often go to places and then find there is nothing I can eat. I was not disappointed. My meal and coffee was delicious and was served very quickly. The staff were friendly and offered meal suggestions and the area I chose to sit had an area that the kids were able to play in while I completed some forms I had with me after we had eaten. Cafe Retro is well laid out so there is two different outside eating areas and an inside eating area and it is located in a quiet spot away from the noise and traffic of the shopping part of Tamworth. Thank you Cafe Retro. We have found our go to place when visiting Tamworth.
Tamworth's best kept secret! How did I not know about this place until now?! The staff were absolutely lovely and the play area for the kids is ah-mazing � I will definitely become a new regular!
I had the best vegie burger - full of flavour and a generous size. The others had the fish burger and the Retro burger which they were said were fantastic! Do yourself a flavour and try this café - you won't be sorry! And the coffee was very good too.

I brought my mum and 2 sister here for mums Birthday. The staff were super happy and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere.
The burgers that we had were literally amazeballs!!

Had lunch on Saturday with the family. Service was quick and very friendly.Milkshakes and food too were very good. The 2 small children loved the playground area,didnt want to leave. Highly recommend it. Will come again!!!
Thank you for keeping me well fed over my stay in Tamworth, super tasty food, great value and lovely people. Will be sure to stop in for a bacon and egg roll and coffee next time I'm in town!
Had the best hamburger with the lot plus a delicious muffin for my birthday today..absolutely amazing the serve was brilliant the atmosphere was awesome.. So thank you to the staff at cafe retro and store and a big thank you to my daughters for a love lovely day..
