Review Cafe 2340 - Tamworth

Staff were great, but the food was below average. Our burgers came on buns that were not on the menu, my steak sandwich was on a bagel which was not on the menu and the chips were basically inedible as they were just a pile soggy oil. The large open space has a lot of potential to be a great cafe.

Called in for Saturday morning coffee. Friendly staff and easy to order since there were relatively few people there. So why did it take 25 minutes to make 2 lattes? Which were smooth enough but not nearly warm enough. Good potential but they need to sharpen up.

Coffee seemed to be their selling point but my flat white was very weak. I do prefer strong coffee though. We had brekky. I had scrambled eggs and bacon. Once it eventually arrived on a thick single slice of toast it was quite satisfying. Good prices also.

Excellent Cafe for coffee alone or in groups. Sells local art and has a great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking. Good sized meals with ready made meals also available to grab. Great coffee and chai. They do an awesome job supporting the community too. Highly recommend.

The last time I visited this cafe I gave it 4 stars... this visit, 1 star. Why? The food was pathetic. 2 lonely (cold) poached eggs on 2 small processed sliced bread ... and a solitary spinach leaf as garnish... well overpriced at $12. One of my group asked for butter that arrived much later than expected, and when it did, it had melted to liquid (he was asked if he wanted everything heated up!) Coffee this time was bitter and average. They have also partioned the shop in half... saving themselves to death I suspect. Bad service with no customer engagement. Staff are badly dressed and don't care. Shocking food. Average coffee. My bets are they won't be in business for much longer. Experience at your peril. A disaster all round. Final thoughts: Don't waste your money.

Coffee was burnt and when we walked in had the barista roll her eyes at us, it was very unwelcome feeling from the staff, will not be returning as service and coffee was terrible. Cannot speak to staff at the time as I have witnessed when given negative feedback at cafe directly to staff they have a tendency to be rude, yell, be sarcastic and belittle customers.

It's Ok. I felt the food was a bit bland (I had a salad), and I didn't like the smoothie at all - it tasted powdery. My friends had the burgers and they did look good, so perhaps I'd recommend those instead of the salads! Nice big café with a small and uninteresting kids corner. Toilets available.

Omg I would have to say it was the worst dining experience ever... the service when ordering was about the best part. We were the only ppl in the cafe and we found out why. I noticed the cook come back about 15mins after we ordered. After waiting for over 20 mins for our food to arrive we were watching the cook serve our food, touch various surfaces and objects including her clothing with her bare hands without washing her hands between. The waiter delivered our meal without any of the usual pleasantries of enjoy your meal or sorry for the wait. The food was definately not worth the wait or the expense. My 3 pancakes were more reminiscent of small (size of a drink can in diameter) beer coasters in all aspects, dry tough and flavorless, with 4 slices of banana and a small drizzle of maple syrup, definately not worth the $18 charged for the dish. My hubbys avo smash looked more appetizing, however the cold hard poached egg was the start of the disappointments... for him the only positive the flavour of the fetta and mint weren't overwhelming, he summized though that that was most likely due to the lack of them in the dish...
