Review Beach Cafe - Tangalooma

We had takeaway pizzas on the weekend. The large pizzas were a good size and toppings nice however bases were cooked slightly under and our New Orleans pizza did not have one prawn which was disappointing. A tad expensive for the quality delivered.

Very clean and well maintained restaurant the has a small but intimate eat in area offers inside and outside tables. Diverse menu that offers something for all tastes. Garlic pizza was amazing and the pizza we chose was absolutely delicious. It had actual topping with real Flavours. It was a real treat

This place was good, the chicken salad was very nice and it was fresh and plentiful. It was great for a sunset meal!

Fantastic place to sit relax have a drink, have some food and look at the scenery. Pizzas are amazing, beer is cold, staff are friendly. One of my favorites places on Bribie.

Well it's the only Italian restaurant on Bribie,so basically it's the best Italian restaurant on Bribie. Fettecini the winner. #ResearchAndTravelServices #facxual_events

Constantly rated one of Bribie Island's best places to eat. Excellent pizzas and very nice pasta as well. Licenced and quite often have a "special" beer on offer . Highly recommended.

Best pizza on Bribie. Pasta dishes are awesome, never had a bad meal here. Staff are awesome too. No more dine in, takeaway only. Definitely worth a try 🍕🍕🍲🍲

If you find yourself the captive victim of this beachside canteen while at Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island, our hearts go out to you. Here’s a survival guide, cos there’s definitely some items to hard pass on:

◾️Pizzas. We tried a few just to be sure and none can be saved. The Pepperoni seemed to have cream cheese between the base & the topping. Weird.
◾️Spaghetti bolognaise. Tummies still churn just thinking about it.
◾️Steak. Just don’t.
◾️Oysters. Didn’t smell good.

Congrats for messing up the basics so completely. Oh and the prices - hoooey they’ll make you rage for the quality. Given the amount of beautiful seafood in the Bay it’s a huge shame there’s none here.

There is hope though. Anything with chicken is good. Hot chips & onion rings are okay if you don’t mind some grease. Staff are friendly enough.

Totally surprised the dolphins still come here to be fed.

They really have a captive audience here.
Had fish and chips, wasn't too bad, and it's crazy busy. Service in the Chinese restaurant was shocking so tried here.

I recommend the garlic prawn pizza!

Meat lovers was just average.

Salad nothing special.

The spaghetti napolitana was very watery and tasted like nothing

** TURSIOPS BUFFET AT TANGALOOMA **
This place isnt listed in zomato so i figured people visiting tangalooma would see this.
Please do not go out of your way to visit this buffet. I went for breakfast and found the grossest hair in the mushrooms , told the employee and he didnt seem phased at all.

The food here is appalling and over-priced. I appreciate that it costs a bit extra to bring the food from the mainland, but I really get the feeling that they charge what they do because they have a monopoly and can take advantage of the tourists.

Beach Cafe is so expensive it's not funny. I'll give it to them that their milkshakes are nice but when you order a coffee and a snack each and it almost comes to $30 you know you're getting ripped off. Don't even think about how much you'll pay for a bottle of water or can of soft drinks

Tasteless slop If visiting .... Tasteless slop
If visiting the island
Bring your own food!
Food here is double the price of the mainland and absolutely disgusting.
It makes things worse by paying $2 per toilet roll afterwards...
Not impressed!

How do they get away with it !. Serving frozen garbage at prices not seen since the 80's in a shearing shed held together with cobwebs.Staff are openly hostile to non-resort guests (I sailed there),tables are left uncleared and you had better be gone by 6 o'clock as one senior staff member threatened to "hose you boaties off the island".I'm not finished with this dump yet.

Terrible food, terrible service, terrible amenity and terrible prices! Thank goodness we chose to stay at Castaways Bulmer and not Tangalooma 'Resort'. We walked down from the wrecks to have lunch at the beach cafe. The staff were rude and uninformed. The food was literally in edible! We ordes a crumbed fish and a grilled fish along with garlic bread pizza. The crumbed fish was horrible gluggy, frozen mush, the grilled fish a tad better. The condiments were not good at all, hot buttery aoli? The garlic pizza bread was on cardboard like frozen bases using jar bought garlic, yuk! The ambience and amenity were diet and old! Never again. If you want to experience tangalooma either camp & bring your own food or stay at castaways!

Awful - waited for 20 mins for two meals. Fish+chips and hot dog + chips. Complained about long wait and saw the chef reheated them in microwave. They have not apologised for a long wait. Rather a shocking expectation for so called expensive meals

Not happy. Having been forced to eat here for lunch every day for lack of other options (very disappointing for a 'resort') the only items somewhat edible were the beef burger and the vegetarian pizza. Limited healthy options, even the Caesar salad was drowned in a bottled sauce and didn't even have egg or croutons! If your going to Tangalooma, bring your own food.

After watching all the deep fried food parade out of the kitchen we ventured in for lunch mid week. Orders were grilled chicken salad & the tangalooma burger with the lot for $17.50. The salad scored an Ok & the burger a good thumbs up. Both servings were big. Beware the the cafe closes for lunch at 2pm & then re-opens at 5 until 9pm. The menu is large, would have expected more fresh seafood given the location, perhaps buckets of prawns or similar however perhaps that's an operational issue. Later that night we ordered take away pizza which also received a thumbs up however would still recommend staying clear of all the fried food for the best pics out of the cafe. If you do get caught out for lunch with the 2pm close there is a coffee shop in the same complex with pre packaged sandwiches etc.
