Review Aura Cafe Restaurant Bar - Templestowe

Really great and yummy food. Coffee is nice and strong. Surprised there isn’t more customers cause I think it’s such a lovely place. Would definitely come back!

This is such a lovely place and is a slightly hidden treasure. It always has a calm and welcoming atmosphere and thanks to the staff, I felt very comfortable eating there alone. The food is delicious, mine was chicken fillets and salad. The chicken was moist and so tender, I could have cut it with a fork. The dipping sauce was very tasty and the salad and dressing was equally delicious. I also had freshly squeezed orange juice and a lovely cup of chai tea. Their jug of chai was enough for 1 and 3/4 cups. The owners are friendly and welcoming and I encourage you to try Aura Cafe for eat in or take away. On a sunny day you might like to try their outdoor area. Parking can be a little tricky as the medical centre can become busy, but there is always parking further up in the parking area, or even just across the road in the shopping car park. It's worth the effort. Give this lovely local a try. I will be back for another visit very soon.

I am seriously impressed by their food. Hidden gem in that area I would say, went there couple weeks ago with friends. Nice staff, reasonable waiting time for food in busy time. Absolutely good food! Seriously love the taste of the Ruben sandwich, perfect combination and LOOK AT THE SIZES!!!!!!🤣 Doesn't like other cafes only serve hotcakes as dessert. They have french toast! And taste really match and fresh, especially the yellow part mix with the white part(not sure what it is😅). So many dessert there on the display fridge and kid can choose eggs waffle as dessert. Would definitely come try again next time.

Changed owner?? Have been here several times but first time post covid lockdown. It was great before. But this time, it was so oily... every spinach leaf was coated with oil, there was olive oil poured over the scrambled egg which tastes super weird, a bite over the mushroom and oil bursted out. Ok I think you get the point.... I couldn’t finish this even though I was super hungry!! I tried my best honestly.

OMG there low carb stuff is amazing! Reasonable pricing too. I'm going back!

4.6. What a delightful cafe. They’re doing a lot of things right here. It’s a nice spot with a lovely light filled outdoor area on the right day. Inside is terrific too. Numerous things stand out here but number one is the service. It’s utterly delightful. Each of the three staff members who attended to us was wonderful. Efficient, friendly, polite and slightly humourous. That to me is pretty much perfect service. The all important coffee and food are excellent too. The coffee was utterly beautiful. Strong, silky and substantive. I had two superbly made long blacks here. I could not fault them. My dish off the all day brekkie menu was a beauty too. It is called the Herbivore and I loved every element, particularly the haloumi, the bacon and the avocado. I loved it. My colleague loved his fish and chips as well. Bravo. The Aura really delivered for me and would put quite a few more highly fancied venues in the shade. It is highly recommended. I’ll be back.

New owner, revamped ... Got potential. Young, creative chef in the house. Attentive service. I can see happy hours one of these afternoons. That was 4 years ago... In transition, trust the coffee too.

Amazing staff, always friendly. The food is always consistent been visiting for a while now and impressed every single time. Best savoury pancakes I've had! The space is very nice, also had my 18th party a couple of years back and was a great venue for it. Over all an amazing place and a go to Cafe for me and all of my friends!

Reasonably priced and delicious! We had the specials: pumpkin soup and lasagne; and the crispy salmon.

The service was superb. Will definitely be back.
Aura is a reliable choice for brunch and lunch. Enjoyable outdoor area with a sunny aspect. Friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Delicious & beautiful café in Lower Templestowe!
110% worth checking out if you’re in the area or even worth the travel if you’ve been tossing up to visit!

I enjoyed an array of vibrant and tasty menu options and I can straight up say they are some of the best I’ve tried in terms of flavour, texture & presentation!

Spoil your tastebuds and loved ones today @ Aura

A cute cafe just outside Macedon plaza with a lot of seating inside & out with a variety of dishes so there is something for everyone. I went here with a friend & I got the lamb tacos & my friend got the corn fritters.

The lamb tacos were awesome. 3 massive tacos filled with lamb & slaw. The chutney & tzatziki was delicious.
The corn fritters looked delicious as well. The bacon looked absolutely amazing!
If you’re anything like me, a visit to the medical centre is always the one thing I’ll do just about everything to avoid. It’s usually at these places that I feel most anxiety, and apprehension. The thought of a café at such centres, offering an escape from the clinical environment, is so reassuring. More so, knowing there’s somewhere to go and switch off from that stress-filled experience, is nothing short of comforting.

It’s for this reason Aura exists. It was built on the foundations of creating a positive aura in an area commonly associated with life’s challenges.

Aura emulates a vibrant energy field, which is thanks to those who emulate such goodness, such as Steph who manages this refreshing space.

Head chef Ash Jhowry puts a great deal of energy into his menu, and his warm chicken salad left me with some nutritious energy to see me through a busy day. The Grilled fritters are also a must; as is the Toast of Paris; served with passionfruit curd and vanilla bean mascarpone.

Aura is located at the corner of High street/ Manningham Rd, in the Manningham medical centre. Say hi to Steph!

I came here for lunch on a few days ago... The deco was quite old and outside fence was torn. Love the wall mural though! For the money I have paid, I would say it's not value for it though. Service was bad. The staffs were giggling and chatting among themselves and food was mediocre.

I had breakfast here one Saturday morning with my partner. We had the big boss and the benedict. The eggs tasted funny but we didn't think much of it. My partner and I were running for the toilet by late evening. Feels like a bad case of food poisoning and that's the only place we ate together.

It looks like it's changed owner since we last went six months ago. The coffee even tasted different. Vibes off. Definitely not coming back again! Not for the value and the experience! Thought we need to share this horrible experience.

Wow.

Visited Aura for the first time this morning and it definitely won't be the last.

Some of the best coffee I've had in Melbourne. I had the pumpkin smash and my partner had the mushroom hotcakes, both fantastic. We both completely cleared our plates, which we've never done at a breakfast before.

The thing that completely blew us away, though, was the phenomenal service. Staff were SO attentive and friendly. Fast service despite the fact that we managed to arrive after a big group.

We'll be making this a regular expedition. What a hidden gem.

Lovely outdoor sitting area for a quite and chilled breakie catching up with an old friend. The staff were so lovely making sure everything was going well. We both had the Dragon Fruit bowl with seasonal fruits on-top which was so refreshing on a hot morning.

after having come here multiple times over a three year period, returned today following a hiatus to try other places and enjoyed it just as much as ever. absolutely every single member of staff is warm and welcoming whilst offering service with a smile, and this has been so on each occasion. attentive without being overbearing, polite and respectful. the coffee is made perfectly with good quality beans and a strong caffeine kick regardless of the order, and the food is just delicious. usually opting for the big breakfast varieties and a porridge type option, today trialled the dragonfruit acai bowl and pumpkin smash with additional hash browns without disappointment. the only tiny improvement suggestion would be to have "homemade" potato rosti or fritter instead of a seemingly somewhat store bought type. super keen to come back after their days off over the new year period, 2019 cannot come fast enough to ensure a visit again!!

I have been to Aura several times. The food is not bad for the price, if not a little disappointing at times, but the service is consistently good.

Stumbled upon this cafe as I was going for my morning walk.
Coffee here was okay but service was very friendly and the waitress as well as the barista were very inviting.
I had the mushroom ricotta hot cakes and they were delicious! The hotcake was light and fluffy plus they even included mushrooms inside the hot cakes so that was a pleasant surprise! My mom had their baked eggs and although according to her the tomato taste was a tad overpowering, the bread was crispy and well seasoned.
We had the lemon tart for dessert and i would recommend it if you fancy citrus cakes 😋 it wasn’t too dense despite its similarities to a cheesecake. Overall it was a good brunch, not the best but we had a good meal.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Aura yesterday and I’m surprised that it has such a high rating? (Maybe it’s for the service coz that was the only great thing about it.)

We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Corn Fritters with a hash brown.
Firstly I asked for the ham to be taken out of my Eggs Benedict and to add spinach instead. I was still charged the normal price of the Eggs Benedict but also charged for the spinach as an add on? Even though I didn’t have the ham. It was also average and under-seasoned at best and my spinach was cold and chewy.
My friend’s corn fritters were bland and under seasoned and her hash brown was DEFINITELY one that you would get from a frozen packet at the supermarket.

We left feeling super disappointed. Overpriced with quality that doesn’t match.

Have been here a couple of times, as the rating was good and we really wanted to like this place.
Service is great; however, food is average for the price.
Foods Of Melbourne
This place has the all in one cage experience. Great coffee, awesome staff and great food! Their dishes are more on the traditional side BUT some (like the French toast) is pretty out there. Definitely worth a pop past if you’re in the area and I will be back!
FoodforThought
Service and the setting were great but the food wasn’t unfortunately.
Their linguine lacked seasoning/salt and the mushroom ricotta hotcakes, while sounded inviting on the menu, was disappointing. There is something wrong with the recipe. The pancakes were dry and spongy, and the spinach ought to be sautéed.
Heng Dong Xin
A genuinely refreshing experience. Eminently commended.

The coffee, food and service was unprecedented. The setting was hushed and tranquil, coinciding with the salutation of the establishment.

> Corn Fritters- grilled corn fritters with smashed avocado + feta, bacon + a poached egg AND Benedict with poached eggs, French stick, maple glazed ham hock + housemade hollandaise AND Lamb Tacos with slow cooked lamb, slaw, chilli mint chutney, grilled corn salsa + tzatziki | @auracafe <

Aura Café has been on the café scene for a lot longer than most cafes you would see on Instagram. Tucked away in a strip of shops in Lower Templestowe, Aura has watched the Melbourne café market grow into what it has become. However, they have not lost their authenticity and have maintained the same level of service over their 8 years. They have not conformed to the expectations of other cafes in the ‘trendier’ suburbs, they cater to the locals and welcome people from all of Melbourne to be part of their close family. Their service is very personalised and you can guarantee a very friendly chat from the staff and owner. You may also know their brother café @chicken.orthe.egg which is located in Canterbury, that I also urge you to check out!

It has been a long time since I have had a fritter brunch feast and I have missed it a lot. Three perfect sized fritter cakes presented with bacon and avocado on a long dish. The fritters were chunky and slightly creamy, which is what you want to see in a fritter because it makes it so much more satisfying to eat. There was a ton of bacon, which made the meal so much more filling and the juices and saltiness from the bacon complemented the fritters really well. The smashed avocado was perfectly creamy and worked really well with the concept of this dish. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and I was very full by the time I got through all three.

The benedict. A perfect breakfast dish for anyone to enjoy. The portion size of this was also quite large and will keep you full for the entire day. The two thick slices of baguette soaked up the flavours to savour the richness of the meal. The eggs were poached perfectly and the house made hollandaise sauce on top was really creamy and sweet. The maple glazed ham hock was also quite sweet and really tender too. It fell apart in the mouth and enhanced the flavours of the egg and sauce. A very well executed meal that I recommend trying.

These three perfect sized tacos are what you need to enhance your brunch experience. Tacos are becoming more and more common on lunch menus and I actually love it! They are great for any meal and not just your Tuesday night dinner ;) These tacos were a really satisfying and filling meal. The lamb was really tender and each shred melts as soon as it touches your tongue. The seasoning on the lamb was incredible, which was further enhanced by the subtle kick of spice from the chilli mint chutney. The tzatziki added a lot of character to the dish and complemented the lamb really well. Although it looks like there’s a lot of it, it is not overpowering at all! We really enjoyed devouring this meal and definitely recommend checking them out!

If you’re looking for a guaranteed hearty and quality meal then this is definitely a place to check out. I know I miss the old Melbourne café scene before everything was about presentation and the Instagram worthy picture, so coming here really took me back and made me really happy.

The breakfastpiggy team

Piggies out, Oink oink 🐷🐷

Local delight. Don’t be fooled by the appearance. Simple cafe yet sophisticated food. Enjoyed the truffle eggs with asparagus and the baked Spanish eggs.

Corn Fritters are on point at Aura Cafe :) Smashed avo, feta, bacon and a poached egg all presented and cooked nicely. Staff were helpful and friendly and the fit-out inside was spacious and clean.

3.1 ⭐️
Wednesday 26th April 2018 at 1.30pm.
(ANZAC Day)
The staff hear are really friendly, happy people 😊
The coffee was average.
We had The Herbivore and The Benedict.
Both filling but not exciting.

Aura is a fantastic cafe in Lower Templestowe, definitely the best I’ve visited in this area so far. Located in the same building as the medical centre on the corner of High St and Manningham Rd, it is easy to miss through the busy car park surrounding it, and the McDonald’s and Red Rooster in the same vicinity. Once you do locate it though, you won’t forget it in a hurry! We ordered the Truffle Poached Eggs (except I got the eggs scrambled instead) with a side of Mushrooms, and we also got the Açai Bowl. I had the Truffle dish and it was absolutely delightful - the subtle truffle flavour throughout was amazing; the asparagus and feta went absolutely beautifully with it and the flaked almonds gave it some lovely crunch!!! There was so much variety and texture in the dish, I didn’t even need the side of mushrooms (never thought I’d say that)!! The Açai bowl was also delicious - definitely one of the better ones we have had. There was a lot of texture in the smoothie part of it, and plenty of fruit and granola crunchy topping. Coffee was delicious and rich! Service was outstanding, all the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend this Templestowe gem!
Rachael
A very typical brunch place in a normal setting. Usual mix of options - opted for the herbivore which was an assortment of breakfast foods which no real connections between them other than being on the same plate. Pretty generic, do not feel that this place stands out in any meaningful way.

Aura is located at the corner of High street/ Manningham rd , in the Manningham medical centre which was just next to the Macca! We only came for a quick bite as we’re running late for an appointment. The cafe was really quiet on Saturday morning. The store is clean and brightly lit. As we’re rushing for time, we asked for our coffee to be served in takeaway cups and ordered a toasted ham cheese croissant to share. Coffee is great, croissant was light and tasty. Service is on point but it’s very quiet on Saturday morning.

Have been to the cafe many times and the food has always been great! The staff are lovely and it’s pet friendly. If you’re looking a dependable brunch spot check this place out!

Aura at Templestowe for Saturday morning breakfast. Ambience is cool and friendly. Food was fine not very impressive. French toast should be better. Presentation is nice.

I have been coming to Aura for years and think that every experience has been amazing and it is always a safe and friendly environment. I love coming here as I always feel relaxed and comfy. The food is to die for as everything has lots of incredible flavours. The staff are always so welcoming and always has a smile on their face. I 100% recommend this to all of my friends and family☺️👌
Good Food Good Mood
I was lucky enough to brunch as a guest of Aura on the weekend at which point I realised that they are share the same owners as Chicken or the Egg (who have an absolutely cracking new menu by the way). This is a great little local and looked to be filled with regulars. Conveniently located next to the supermarkets, breakfast here is the perfect weekend ritual before getting your groceries. I tried the chai and açai bowl which was the ideal consistency and very well balanced sweet but not overly so. We also had the corn fritters, baked eggs and pumpkin smash. Everything was visually impressive and I was a bit envious of the pumpkin dish with its feta and balsamic glaze. Definitely one to keep in mind for next time!

I’ve finally visited Aura- a lovely cafe hidden on the corner of the main road and near a medical center. The food here is fresh and healthy to accomodate the majority of the food traffic arround . I really enjoyed my meal here and will be back

Been here a couple times. Good coffee and service. The food is always presented nicely and full of flavour. I'm a little fussy with my eggs - I like them well done and the kitchen had no problem in ensuring that they were well done although not dry. There is a nice outside area in which my friends and I always choose to sit. I will definitely be back here! Awesome place :)

A very good cafe all round.

A very good, no-nonsense cappuccino.

Staff seem to know everyone that walks through the door.

Service is very friendly and genuine: 5/5

Located under the medical centre on the corner of High and Manningham Rds, don't be fooled. This cafe has the most delightful staff, and although your average coffee table and chairs decor, their food is really yum. We had the corn fritters, which came topped with generously rolled and crunchy bacon, smashed avo and poached eggs. These corn fritters were really really good. As was the bacon.
We also tried the smashed pumpkin. The addition of feta and balsamic glaze really pulled the dish together and made for a flavour explosion.
Breakfast is never complete without a breakfast dessert, the only one of the menu was french toast so we decided on that. It came out as 3 slices and a very generous pour over of syrup that wasn't too sweet. Definitely needed the syrup to bring the dish together.
Would definitely go back for more.

This place never disappoints. Small menu selection but nice interior, friendly staff, good coffee and food. Great place for nice meal and catch up with friends.

This place is slightly hidden, and kind of looks like its part of a medical centre... but it's NOT! And as soon as you walk in you realise it's a cute little cafe, serving up all your brunch favourites. We tried the French toast which is served with this delicious blueberry mascarpone and also the baked eggs. The baked eggs were smokey and delicious and covered in cheese. Served with a generous portion of toast to dip into the dish, it definitely hit the spot!

Great little cafe in a odd location next to McDonalds, Red Rooster and opposite a Medical clinic!
Quick service and friendly staff.
I ordered the Baked Eggs and boy was it cheesey. Stretchy cheese made easy mouthful a little bit of a challenge but a tasty one nonetheless.
Reasonably priced and good variety on the menu.
Jackie
Brunch on a Saturday, staff friendly and prompt service.
Perfectly poached eggs and my request for crispy bacon was accommodated. Good sized portions.
Good coffee too!!
We will be back

Absolutely amazing service, food and coffee would definitely recommend cooked to perfection with no delay. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Perhaps I didn't order one of their finest meals, or maybe I came on an "off day" but I found the Corn Fritters to be extremely mediocre. Coffee was great and the service was flawless, but just a very forgettable meal.
LilMac
Friendly helpful staff, wasted no time in greeting us and helping us to our table. We weren't rushed and it was a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a Skinny Latte and the corn fritters with smashed avocado.
The food was amazing as was the coffee.
Highly recommend this place if you are in the area or passing through ☺️
Vivian
I will give this score to them without any hesitation. The location is easy to find. They are just opposite to a pharmacy store and closed to McDonald's. The cafe is nice. My partner ordered beer but they ran out of the stock and he had to pick the only red wine which was not sold by bottle. Unfortunately, the wine was sold out again. But the owner was so nice and gave another more expensive wine without any extra charge. The food was nice as well and would like to go back if possible.
LiamzlEats
Nice interiors with friendly and fast staff. Went here around lunch time and was impressed by the quality of my corn fritters with smashed avocado, however the hash browns were the clear standout and the "corn fritters" themselves were a little bit lacking in depth.
Sasha
Came here for breakfast and it was amazing!! The food was delicious- fantastic even. The presentation was beautiful, portions were good sized, served at an appropriate time and overall worth the price. I will definitely be back, and can't wait to try more meals on the menu.
Chris Loverseed
Best breakfast and coffee in the Eastern Suburbs!
Service is always great and food is consistently good.
Have also had many fuctions hosted by the team at Aura which have always been a great success.
Aldrin Canta
Had the corn fritters, smash avo and feta, poached egg and bacon. Presentation was on point, looked amazing. The taste did not disappoint, definitely recommend and can't wait to try more of their menu. Service was also very friendly and attentive.

A young waiter took our order, we asked for no tomato and well done eggs, but they still served the tomato, and the eggs were still raw, the running egg yolk came out when cut it

I've been coming here at least once a fortnight for the past year and this is definitely the place to go for quality food and great service! Everything is pretty good on the menu and coffee is great. Waiters are friendly and the owner is a superstar, always happy and energetic. Food is very fresh and portion sizes are decent. Highly recommend.
Been?Here
Seen to be a popular spot especially among the elderlies, an established suburban cafe well located at the junction just opposite the Macedon Square and the cafe menu variety is comparable to other cafes.

Medium sized, there are 3 areas to be seated; few in the front, main area at the back and alfresco and are consistent in delivery for their service and food quality.

Nothing fancy, it's a space to have a quiet, unpretentious decent meal/ refreshment and just go about your day. Good place to come back too.

🌟🌟🌟🌟Grilled Barramundi served with Chips & Salad and Capers Butter
🌟🌟🌟🌟Pumpkin Smash
🌟🌟🌟🌟Long Black
Staff here are always super friendly and the food/coffee is amazing. There's not much more you can ask from a local cafe! Definitely recommend :)

The service was very good, friendly staff staff greeted us on arrival. The food itself could've been larger portion wise but the taste was good. Overall a good experience
Melbrunchin
Iv been here dozens of times, my local go-to and Iv always loved it! Mostly because atmosphere was always very welcoming. But today it was different I saw how poorly the staff were treated and it was very sad to see. You can't be SO BRIGHT AND HAPPY to customers and then go behind the kitchen and throw things around using vulgar language (etc sh*t and f*ck) and attacking staff who were actually working. Find different ways of bettering your staff because the way you acted today you will damage your business your very self.

Lovely place to chill and chat.
First time here as I was interested in the high ratings.
Well worth it.

Plenty of parking, good service and good choice of
Breakfast,brunch or lunch menu.

I ordered the herbivore and asked for a change in fried eggs and herb toast, easily accommodated (impressed! But with a price of course)
My mate ordered a potato rosti with fries as side.

Coffee is also in an accomodating manner, in normal size or mug. Fresh oj available too.

Love this place a recommended for a relaxing breakfast, brunch or lunch date with family or friends!
Pak
A hidden gem in the base of a medical centre building. They serve basic Cafe food really well. The portion sizes are generous - especially the children pasta dish - and well presented. We were greeted and served by a welcoming staff member (possibly the owner). Prices were quite dear but it's worth it.
Sarah Black
Have been here many times and never been dissapointed-the restaurant is always clean, staff are efficient and the manager is also very friendly and accommodating, and the food has never dissapointed, always fresh and tasty-highly recommend this place!
Food Glorious Food
I've been here several times, food is always exceptional. I mean how hard is it to make scrambled/poached eggs on a sourdough toast with some bacon and avocado/spinach.
So many places get it wrong but keep it simple and fresh with good prices. People will come back, me included.
Niece had roasted vegetables no feta as she is vegan and they were happy to oblige.

A wonderful hidden gem in the Doncaster area, I enjoyed the coffee and my corn fritters immensely, I highly recommend this place, great quick service, staff always smiling
Jordy Lee
Absolutely love this cafe! I went there with a friend for breakfast and ordered the pumpkin smash without toast but with a side of halloumi. The meal was super quick to arrive at the table and the serves are very generous. My friend ordered the museli and she was very happy with the portion size and did her best to finish as much as she could. The coffee was brilliant, perfect temperature and strength. Overall, definitely a cafe that I will be making my regular stop on my way to work. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I like the set up of the cafe and the overall cleanliness and presentation of everything. I highly recommend this cafe if you have never been there!

Visited your cafe today , coffee was great so I had two soy latte :) friendly staff and great service . Not exciting menu , pretty average food. Liked the outdoor area , might come back for coffee !
Feuille De Lotus
I searched for a nice cafe as we pass by locally on a weekend. Didn't realise it was right where the medical centre is. The food was quite nice but coffee was average. Very friendly staff and the place is quite clean. If you don't mind seeing ambos coming in and out while you eat is not a bad place for brunch.

Metamorphosis in progress ....

Housed within the Manningham Medical centre; too rigid, too structured, office style cafe environment.
The White La Marzocco was prominent from the outside and was a draw-card, so I walked inside, straight away I can sense an unfinished transition is in progress.

The cafe is sectioned into two parts, the rustic side at the front and the "older" "boring" casual set up at the back, not much natural sunlight and it's a plasterboard cocoon. There's an outdoor section too.

On the food side, it has all the right elements to be a true Melbourne Cafe; Corn Fritters smashed Avocado. all it need is more uniqueness and refinement to their A4 size Menu.

On the Coffee side, my Soy Latte unfortunately wasn't quite right, told the young Barista, however no response. Vanilla Chai is good though.

Trust all will go well, can always do with a great Cafe on that side of Templestowe.
LittleMissPiggy
Took my grandma here for breaky on a Monday morning, not super busy and really nice staff. Food was good but served a little cold, same goes for the coffee but definitely not disappointed... Reasonably priced as well, I'd definitely get the French toast again if I went back

Aura Cafe is located in Templestowe, in a little cluster of restaurants on the intersection of High St and Manningham Rd. A couple of buses go past the area, and there's also plenty of parking in the nearby area. The cafe prides itself on providing exceptional customer service and outstanding food, and offers catering services as well as dining.
TheTomato
Stumbled across Aura after a few recommendations, so decided to give it a try.

The barramundi dish I ordered was a generous portion and the fish was light and fluffy. However, the flavours were not stellar and a little bland. In particular, the fish was not well seasoned, an had to rely on salt on pepper from the table. The salad was dressed however, it was nothing special and failed to differentiate itself from other outlets.

Apart from the ordinary food, the coffee was strong and aromatic, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Great coffee!!! Always consistent. Warm chicken salad is awesome. Customer service is always top notch. I've been coming here for years and always leave with a smile

Good coffee and Tasty food. Service is their USP. Staff is really friendly. Nice cosy cafe serving with a smile. we had french toast and corn fritters. both dishes were well presented and tasted good.

Came for a weekend lunch with the family. A friendly environment with attentative staff who are not too pushy. The fresh food is tasty, just a teeny weeny on the bland side for me. The lemon meringue was delicious. Prices are reasonable for the area. Overall a great lunch and will return.

This is a great Cafe . Had breakfast here while waiting for a relative having an early morning procedure ( it's located in the Manningham Medical Centre ) . Had the poached eggs with some sides which was very nice . Coffee was excellent and the lovely young waitress was very pleasant and attentive . The cafe itself is very comfortable , has good parking & newspapers to read for patrons . Great place for an early morning start .... Give it a try
Catherine Tang
Nice restaurant with good food and attentive staff. Menu is reasonably priced. You get a good balance of contemporary hipster brunch restaurant and just a normal cafe. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
Emma Harding
Lovely atmosphere here, very friendly & helpful staff. I had the pumpkin smash which was recommended to me by the waitress and I absolutely loved it. Large serving & very tasty & fresh! My friends had the corn fritters and pulled pork burgers, both were thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent strong coffee. Will be returning here :)

Service and food was on point. The coffee is good as well. Corn fritters well presented and tasted awesome. Ham hock from the breakky menu is a must as well!!

This cafe sits under a medical building, on a busy corner in Templestowe. So at first glance, you might assume it's a bit of a hospital cafeteria. However it's far from that & worth checking out.

Today I have the Corn & Avocado Fritters, my sister had the Spanish Baked Eggs. The dishes were well presented & were a great start to the day. The menu isn't too hipster or over the top, so it's good for a no-fail, no-drama brekky.
We also shared a lamington afterwards. Probably not on my favourites list, but I always like giving the cake display a shot.

Service was lovely and attentive. Every time I've been here, they've always been friendly. Our coffees were good too. They even do blue heaven milkshakes. Double thumbs up! 👍👍

This place is one of my favourites. Personalised service and attention to detail are high priority at this gorgeous cafe. The coffee is always great and the meals are well presented, fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommended.

Came here for lunch on a weekend
The staff member that served us was very cold and didn't ask before collecting plates etc
However food was nice with very generous portion sizes.. appreciate the attention to detail like a decently presented salad and not just lettuce thrown on a plate, dressing needs some work though..

What a great place! Beautiful set up, friendly service. Came here for brunch with a friend. Had the pumpkin smash and a freshly squeeze orange juice. It was absolutely delicious and the poached eggs were cooked beautifully. My friend had the corn fritters and she loved it. I will certainly be back as everything is really fairly priced as well.

Always a good experience here. While the coffee and meals have always been spot on, it is the wonderful staff that are most notable. Every time Ive come here and today in particular the waiter was so welcoming, warm, and friendly. Coming here actually reminds me why customer service is so important.

Look, the service and food here go hand in hand. Absolute pleasure being seated in aura, treated in a manner like no other. The food is fairly priced, well sized and tastes great. Corn fritters + bacon is my favourite from here. The texture of the fritters is really nice - melts in your mouth. Keep up the great work guys! 🔑

Went for breakky with a friend, she had the truffle poached eggs and I had the corn fritters. Both dishes looked great and both were delicious. Good portion sizes, quick service would definitely recommend.

Always a good meal and the staff are the most friendly people you'll ever meet. It must be something in the coffee that keeps them so upbeat and happy!

I don't know why this place has such a high rating?
The food was well prepared but cold, bland and pretty stock standard. I could've made this at home.
friendly service but didnt come up with the goods unfortunately

We've visited Aura a few times being locals to the area and have also enjoyed the experience there. A good selection of tasty dishes in a nice setting. Definitely will visit again soon

Went here this morning for brunch. The service is quite friendly and the food is also nice. I had corn fritter & mashed avocado . Love the taste of corn fritter but the mashed avocado was a bit too sour to my like. My husband had baked egg which is also tasty. A great dining experience.

What a fantastic cafe Aura is. Not only is the food delicious (my poached eggs were spot on) but the staff are so friendly, attentive and they catered to our large group booking for breakfast with ease. The coffee and cakes are excellent, there are gluten and dairy free options on the menu and there's lots of off street parking too. What more could you ask for? A return visit, that's what!

So happy I found this place in the suburbs! Really yummy breakfast (recommend the baked eggs) and the lunch specials are a great deal. Will be back many times to try everything on the menu!

The Poached Special is wonderful! Pretty much everything on the menu is great. Being able to sit in the comfy big back room is always good, but the last couple of times it has been closed when we have arrived! Unfortunate.

It feels like it has been ages since I last had brunch. It also feels like a long time since I've posted a restaurant review, which is probably true. We've been trying to cook more at home, and when we do eat out, we have been revisiting old favourites. Anyhow, on a recent weekend, my parents and I decided to go for brunch at Aura, Lower Templestowe and check out some of the fruit farms nearby. Unfortunately, it was cold and the trees were bare, so there was nothing much to see. We ended up at Westfield Doncaster and it turned out to be a rather productive shopping day for me!

Fantastic.

Poor quality and service. As requested by my friend to visit the store, I was disappointed in the poor quality of my coffee which was most likely made out of grounded coffee from atleast two hours ago, and was served to me cold. The service was also poor. Will definitely not be visiting again
