Grilled chicken breast and creamy mashed potatoes for lunch for $12? Sure, I'll give that a go. And OMG, it is SO good! Couple the food with the friendly staff and it's 5-stars from me.

For 6 years my wife and I had coffee at Harrisons most days and often had breakfast there. We loved the place. Great friendly staff, really hospitable atmosphere, excellent coffee and food. BUT then there were new owners and it all fell apart. The excellent staff were mistreated and were either sacked or walked away, and the standard of service and food went sharply downhill. Now the cafe is often empty as everyone avoids the place. The word has got around. This is such a pity. It was our favourite place for so long.

i went to Harrison’s on terrigal a couple of times, the chef is the rudest person I’ve ever come across to a customer! Really? Waited over an hour for scrambled eggs and another meal while the chef and waitress were inside having a good old chat while our food was meant to be cooking. Every time we would go and ask we would get the dirtiest looks and told “it’s coming” I’ll never be back here again.

Yes, Im now reading your reviews and im not surprised. This was a place i would visit regularly, everything from the service to the food was excellent. To start with, if i have to wait over an hour for food, i would like to know when I order. Most importantly you need more staff, you must of lost at least 5 tables whilst we were waiting, the only reason we waited was we have been here so many times are we’re surprised this was happening. Was this just a one off or they were having a bad day, the waitresses looked like they were having a bad day, though why make it bad for everyone, we are paying customers. Where is the owner? Has this place sold? Why has service dropped so badly? This place wasnt even half full and they couldnt get the food out. Absolutely ridiculous service. So after 1 hour (yes im patient) I asked how much long and if they had started. 1 person in the kitchen on a sunday morning, no im sorry your order hasnt started being made. Thank you very much im out of here. Not surprising 3 orher tables walked up whilst i was talking to the waitress and did the same. If the owner is interested in their business, reply to me here with an explanation and i will likely come back. As you will soon be selling or looking how to rebuild this business. But no explanation or change of management. You wont see me back here. And im sure you are losing all past good local clientele. Im sorry to have to write this review. Totally unexpected for Harrisons cafe Terrigal.

I use to really like coming here... Its changed so much 😔 Pay before, food is average and table service is non existant... They just collected my plate and didn't ask if I wanted anything else or if everything was OK... Which is why I'm telling them here. Go back to the way the food, service and coffee use to be. There's a reason you're less crowded now...

Great service and the best breakfast in Tezza

Dined here a year ago for dinner on our long weekend away & had a great experience. We are back at Terrigal again & thought we'd see if it's still the same. No disappointment. Good service! food came out promptly, very well presented & tasted amazing. Ps. also came in for their breakfast this morning & that was great also.

Not great. Meals mixed up with poached eggs placed on omelette dish that should of been on another’s plate. A piece of bacon was on vegetarian breakfast. Should of stayed at home as was fairly ordinary food
