Great outdoor area. We come here fairly often with the kids for breakfast. Good selection and regular menu changes to keep things interesting.

I ordered the fritters which were good by themselves, but they were served with a slightly spicy sauce that I did not like. All of the dishes were served with the same sauce. Why do you want everything to taste the same? The coffee was excellent as was the $2 donuts that were perfectly soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside.
Fathers Day breakfast at The Deli was what we we hoping for.
Beautiful meal. Spot on coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff.

Great food and great service! Little bit cold in the back indoor area but staff were accommodating with outdoor heaters. Would just prefer a plate to a chopping board, but that's no big deal.
Came here for the first time to escape the rush of a nearby cafe. This place is bigger than it appears and has a lovely courtyard. I had the smashed avocado with whipped feta, beetroot hummus and lime caviar. Satisfying but nothing spectacular. Nuts or something similar is all that it needed! Would be great if staff took orders from tables as it creates a nicer dining experience. Overall, dishes well presented and very happy.
Had an awesome night at The Deli Sunday for their Drag queen bingo, I hope it becomes a monthly event! Pizza was a perfect size for one & their cocktails matched the theme!

I've been for Brunch and Dinner
now 4 or 5 times and I've always been impressed. The staff have always
been very welcoming and helpful. The Food has been really great and
consistently served quickly which is a welcome change from other cafes in the
area. The new design of the Deli is fresh and a welcome change from the
Dark and dirty Deli of the past. Overall I’m very impressed with my new
local café and after reading some of the negative reviews, can only put them
down to a personal grudge against a new business or people that have been
watching too much Master Chef!
I’ve done my homework regarding the
company affiliated with the Deli (simple Google search) and they seem to be
doing a lot of good things for the area. Maybe something to keep in mind
when sitting down to your keyboard people
Funky little place that we found by surprise. Menu has some things you don't find at a normal cafe (duxelle, corn bread), the coffee is strong and the service was friendly and prompt. Definitely worth a visit!
Tried the Deli and came out very satisfied
as soon as we came in the friendly staff greeted us and let us know to sit where we'd like and order at the counter when ready
they have a really lovely garden to sit in out the back
we had the haloumi and cornbread dish with poached egg, as well as a lamb and rosemary pie
pie was decent, I would have liked maybe more filling in it but the standout was that cornbread, could really taste the corn. outside was amazingly crispy and inside fluffy and delicious.
Service was great, food and drinks arrived quite quickly and we were asked how our meals were going on two occasions
Will definitely come back, also to try their southern fried chicken which looked amazing on the other tables
After having successfully running the Eire Café in Clapham, owners Zoe and Stephen have taken the next step in expanding their business and have revamped The Deli, which is across the road from the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Thebarton. Adelaide Food Central was kindly invited to the launch of The Deli, where the food and drink were provided free of charge.
Have been here twice for brunch and both times have been very happy. A mere door in the wall u'd almost miss it, it's fresh and delicious with generous sizings- half an avo yes please!! 👌
Really quirky looking place and the outdoor garden area is such a great place to chill we could have stayed all day. Staff are really friendly and would like to come at night to try some share plates or pizzas and I think it'd be a really cool vibe in the garden 😊

The crust is perfect & wood fired and the toppings do not in any way lack flavour. The outdoor area is just adorable, especially in the warmer months.
I've had some great relaxing evenings here with pizza & a few drinks.
Excellent big breakfast. Always enjoy their big breakfast. Excellent quality for the price!
Delicious but slow. One of the few places where a vegetarian can get decent food. The platter is delicious. Pity about the wait though. The last couple of times I have been there the service has been beyond an acceptable delay.

Good quality vegetarian. Shared a delicious platter recently. Each component was interesting, tasty, fresh and balanced. The salt and pepper tofu and arancini were particularly good but all of it was very good. Add to that the cosy courtyard and the good wine and service and it made for a really pleasant evening. One of the few eateries where vegetarians can enjoy proper food and have a choice beyond the ubiquitous (and boring) gnocchi, risotto, pasta. Recommended for vegetarians.
What more could you want?. Thought we would try the local place everyone is talking about for lunch yesterday...
AMAZING burgers, flavoursome and a little bit messy... just how they should be.

What a funky little joint. Awesome place awesome food,service and music. Had no idea this little gem was there... And they do all day breakfast... I think I'm gonna be a regular to this one! Oh and check out the 100 year old grape vine...

Has a really cool vibe with a slightly romantic setting. Veg nacho was average. Veg pizza was very tasy but the base was a bit sloppy. Food came out very fast and staff were friendly.
Lovely place. Been here several times, love the ambience and their Pizza is very nice

Loved it!. We went there as a group yesterday, we rang up on the off chance we could get in with a group of 10 and we able too.
The staff were friendly, particularly a gentleman called Jackson I think his name was, who made us very welcome and like we were in someone's back yard.
The food was great! They seemed busy, the food didn't come out super quick but we weren't in a rush, so that was fine. I had pizza and a sharing plate with my partner, and we basically licked the plate.
It was our friends birthday, so I asked the staff to add a candle to dessert sunday, which the staff were happy to do, and was brought out by a very smiley Jackson.
He also made a mean cocktail, something my partner had never had before, a Death By Dark Ale, not to my taste but my partner loved. Will be back again!!
I have been here a number of times- and this is mainly because I have enjoyed the meals I have ordered and the general atmosphere of the place.
Yesterday for lunch I ordered the lentil burger and I absolutely loved it. In fact-everyone on my table of 5 (plus 2 babies) enjoyed their meals....oh except 1 person. She said she won't be returning. Why?? Well she ordered the pancakes and was very specific about there being no banana on them. Unfortunately there was- so she didn't eat them. I mentioned it to the waitress- who said she mentioned it to the chef- but she didn't come back to offer an apology or perhaps a discount or another banana free pancake- which I personally believe is bad service.
I really like this place, and I'm disappointed that the issue was dealt with in a very flippant and nonchalant way. :-(
But I will be returning....just not with my banana hating friend.

My Fave!. The Deli does the best pizza in Adelaide... Best veggie burgers, too. Delicious food, great playlist and artists. Cool spot to chill and have a drink on a Sunday arvo.
I live around the corner and this has been a saviour for my partner and self. Especially the takeaway pizzas for the Wheaty. Try the meat lovers, it's do tasty you don't want to share!
Great arty spot!. We went here for the first time over the weekend and I wonder why we haven't before - perfect for a meal before heading over to the Wheaty for drinks and bands. The decor is great (exhibiting artists) and the couches and tables very comfortable. The menu, while simple, was more than adequate for us; a good range of burgers, pizzas and tapas plates. We had burgers and pizzas and liked all of our dishes. We found the prices very good too. The drinks list and service was more than sufficient as well. We'll definitely be back for more - 8/10
Understated cool. The Deli serves consistently fresh tasy food in a lovely old shop with a relaxed and unassuming vibe. Service has been consistenly good even when they are flat out!
Went here tonight for the first time with a friend great atmosphere outside .. beautiful food we ordered the Mexican chicken burger and the pizza with the Italian sausage and the home made dip... Food is amazing love the pizza!! Definitely coming back to this little gem a lot
Lovely food, love the breakfasts there. Terrible service. Half hour wait on our drinks, one of which was a cup of boiling water with a tea bag... Only go if you're in no hurry to get out of there.
Best pizza ever!. Came over after drinks and live music at the Wheaty on a Sunday, only to find more music starting over the road in a candlelit backyard. Ordered a yiros and Mexican pizza, both were amazing!! Ended up sharing two extra bottles of wine a something called a dessert plate. Delicious! Vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Will be back!

Overall we had a great time at The Deli and for a small team the staff did a fantastic job. There is not much to complain about as the name gives you an idea of what to expect but those expectations were exceeded. The only fault was that we were drinking wine quicker than they could wash glasses so you could view that in a couple of ways.. We were there until midnight and the last to leave but were made to feel very welcome.

Charming interior – rustic, eclectic and very casual. Featuring a variety of wall paintings, it’s the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff seemed friendly – taking our drink orders just after we sat down. My eyes shot right to the smoothies section – with combinations like banana, honey, yoghurt, cinnamon & chia seeds – my choice was easy. I’m not sure if they forgot our order or if there was a mix-up, but the drinks seemed to take a heck of a long time to arrive. The Deli at 54a George Street Thebarton is a converted old shop and a busy Adelaide Fringe venue just over the road from the Wheatsheaf Hotel. It has lounge chairs and a couple of tables inside and a shaded area out the back where most of the entertainmen
What an awesome find in the back streets of Thebarton! Awesome menu, fresh food, great service and an amazing outdoor area where you’re literally sitting amongst the vines. The eggs Benedict were out of this world especially when coupled with perfectly cooked, thick sliced haloumi let alone the poached eggs to perfection!
The food is so good. The KFC Haloumi is a must. The breakfast burrito comes highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. Could not recommend highly enough.
Great little spot down the back streets of suburban Adelaide just on the fringe of the city. Plenty of seating available inside and outside in the beer garden a perfect venue for enjoying the sunshine. They serve food, have good coffee and they even sell beer on tap. #BeatTheGrind
The coffee is good. The atmosphere is good too with multiple areas for dining meaning that within each area it doesn't get too loud. The service is pleasant and efficient. The breakfast burrito was an absolute winner for me!
James is an absolute legend and his food is always perfection. The atmosphere is welcoming and trendy PLUS you're fur kid pooches are welcome in the outdoor area.
