These guys need to be put on the map! Small family owned bakery with the best pies I've ever had. The pies themselves are HUGE, the pastry they use is crispy and perfectly baked, the meat and sauce on the inside are as gourmet as you can get! - couldn't possibly compare them to anywhere else! Makes me proud to be Australian!
We were looking for a place to stop by after a visit to the area and we were blown away by the quality, service and popularity of their pies. You can tell this place is the pie shop of the town, evident by the numerous customers that kept constantly coming and going. They've been around for a strong 16 years and even Covid couldn't stop us from getting our pies!
This is the number one bakery, not only in the Wollondilly but anywhere! Beautifully fresh made pies and other hot and cold baked goods and barista coffee etc. Best custard tarts and caramel slices. This bakery takes pride in their products. Lovely owners, a family bakery.
The best pies you’ll ever have. You can taste the quality of the ingredients they use! Absolutely worth a visit to see for yourself.
On Australia Day, what better way is there to celebrate Australiana than having an Aussie Pie. I had heard of this location and was eager to try the pies here. After visiting many pie shops over the past several months, I was happy to find that the little pie shop had a great selection of, what appeared to be well made pies. Of course, the real test is in the taste.
The flaky pastry was perfect and the size of the pie was impressive. Another nice aspect of the pies here is that the cost was nearly a dollar cheaper than most of the better pies I’d had recently.
My first bite was an absolute joy. In this pie were REAL CHUNKS OF MEAT AND CARROT! Every possible facet of the perfect pie was present. The pastry had great flavour, the filling was chunky, while the gravy had an intense flavour, it wasn’t excessive. The ‘condiment to filling ratio’ was spot on!
I had the Beef Burgundy pie and its flavour was exact and not artificially flavoured. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement.
Without a doubt, this was the best pie I’ve had in years. If you don’t visit this family run pie shop for an excellent pie soon, you are missing out.
I, for one, will be coming here for my next pie!
Cheap and yummy.we bought a $3 sausage roll, a $5.5 beef and mushroom pie and a large vanilla latte. Staff is nice and friendly. The pie is big and mushroom filling is fresh. Pie crust can be better but we still enjoyed it. If you want something cheap and nice in thirlmere, definitely give it a try! Sausage roll will be sold out in the afternoon on weekdays!
Ordered beef and cracked pepper pie and it's amazing. Service is nice and fast.
