never had a bad pie..
always take it away so cant really put a comment on dining experiance but i cant fault what ive had so far.
the tuna pie is one of the best!
they just need to do mini pies
This place is a modern café with a modern, clean and pleasant ambience which specialises in pies, pasties, sausage rolls and quiches as well as a good variety of foods.
There is also a great selection of fresh food from the rolls/sandwiches/wraps display to hot pies/pasties/sausage rolls both traditional as well as gourmet selections. Then there are also a great cakes/desserts selection in a separate refrigerated display, then they also have your hot takeaways incl. chips, wedges, dim sims, fried rice, burgers, pizza etc. Which makes this place a great café, bakery and take-away place where you can also happily sit in and enjoy the food and real coffee from the restaurant quality espresso machine.
I've tried their rolls, pies, sausage rolls and French vanilla slice, and I have to say that so far everything was great, delicious, satisfying, fairly priced and fresh! My friend also agrees... They now have eftpos which is great. Yes, we'll be back again... Very nice find!
was renovated a year ago, I come here for the salad rolls, so fresh and te range of flavors are amazing. Check out the chicken kebab roll and tge Chinese chicken bbq
The best pies I've had in Melbourne!
They have an amazing selection but it's hard to go past the beef burgundy or the lamb rosemary.
Very cute place for piping hot coffee and sandwiches - simple food but really a great alternative to some of the fast food options. Really friendly service and scrummy looking homemade cakes.
Freeway or Slow Road?
I'm glad I did the latter and found this place, it's true that good things takes time and if you go too fast in life you might missed what's life is all about.
On the food side .... Do you want Traditional or Exotic Pie?
Maybe Burgers or even Vanilla slices?
Coffee?
Anything else?
Rightly priced, under $5 for a great Cracked Pepper & Steak + $2.50 for the salad or chips.
Cakes around/less than $4.00 and they are magnificent.
Housed in a stand alone building, post modern rustic interior, a team of Chinese Vietnamese running the place, making this addictive stuff and the result is 4.5/5, point deduction for "cash only", I can't buy more for take away.
The humble Aussie pies made with Vietnamese (French influence) love for food and flair.
The beauty of the "right" immigration and multi-culturism policy, these guys got the business acument and the right "hard work" attitude in positively contributing to society, we all get to enjoy it.
Thank you.
I had the Mexican pie. It was nice and spicy, the way I like it and was full of beans and other vegetables. I'd give it the thumbs up. One tip is to eat in rather than try driving as it was a little messy to eat. A real Mexican messy fiesta.
Absolutely fantastic service and products!!
Not hip but definitely quality !!
The crispy pork banh mi was very good and the French vanilla slice was crisp and perfect. The vegetable pastie And beef burgundy Pie just right on a cold day.
Will be Back again
If you are going here you have to get the cinnamon donuts they are so yummy 😋
Awesome food. Good value for money. Very friendly staff.
they have some funky pies going on here, a lot of meaty ones and sometimes some unique types, like glass noodle thai pie... i stick with the spinach rolls.
Very nice pies, must come early though otherwise you'll miss out your favourite pie
We stopped in for breakfast, the sausage roll was big, so we shared it, the Sheppard's pie was nice, and the cinnamon donuts were simply delicious. We will be back!
