Review Benvenuti Cucina E Pizzeria - Thomastown

Lovely staff. Meals are of good portions but average. We waited ages for our parmigiana to arrive while others at our table had finished their meals. Parmigiana arrived tepid.

They do it all at Benvenuti, you can sit down or take away...either way you will enjoy a spectacular meal... so do yourself a favour

2 stars for their survival skills and that they are still getting customers from northers suburbs. The food is awful. The worst meal and service I've had in my life! We came down all the way from Drouin, 1hr 45min drive + $13.07 East link fee to celebrate our friend's 84th birthday. I had a lasagna and my husband had a parma, [you can't get better Italian than that]. Will not go there again!

Reasonable decor..except for the check-in lady "extremely helpful" and owner,staff rating would be vveeerryy average.. Waiting staff have no table seating numbering system so when meals are bought out they know who ordered which meal 🤦‍♂️ Out of 7 meals only 3 were as ordered..one medium rare was medium to well done 🤦‍♂️.. THE MOST FUSSY EATER'S "17 yo" meal was ordered and "stressed" WELL DONE arrived at the table "rare" 3 freakin times 🤦‍♂️ eventually the owner intervened and seemed unable to work out along with the "cook" (couldn't have been a chef) "well done" meens virtually black outside well cooked inside 🤦‍♂️ Any great restaurant at that point would have provided his meal free and possibly reduced the cost overall 🤷‍♂️ For a $270 dollar meal wouldn't go back unless l was starving !! 🙄

Overall, this restaurant is just ok. It took an overly long time for the food to come out and then it all just tasted kind of blah. Nothing too fantastic. The service was pretty good however the overall experience isn't something we're in a hurry to try again.

Good food but the waiting time for the mains was totally acceptable considering there were very few patrons in the restaurant at the time. Best you look elsewhere for a meal if you're short on time, very disappointing.

Bad experience, since we walked in the door. Staff were rude from entry point. Went to order drinks stated we wanted to pay as we go. The waiter became nasty stating she had given out number to the table and that how it will be done. Drinks kept getting sent back constantly as they were pouring them worng. The food is not even worth it as the chips were cold.

I can't believe the views on here, are you sure you went to the same place as me,staff are lovely, couldn't do enough for us meals wonderful and drinks great,I've been 5 or 6 times now and will be going back again and again.

The food was great. But the fact that I asked for extra sauce in a container (because last time I got the gnocchi it was a little dry) and was charged $13.90 just for the extra sauce (the same price for a entree pasta) is a very big disappointment. So my main pasta meal ended up costing over $30.

I meet there once a month with a group of former work friends( 4-8retired ). Have been doing so for a couple of years now. Friendly curtious staff. No complaints re food, prices. Able to sit & chat, for a few hrs, not too loud. Have also been there with family. Plenty of off street parking. ��

benvenuti is a lovely little restaurant situated along the busy streets of thomastown. <br/>we visited here for my sisters birthday this evening, and being our first time to the venue, we were pleasantly surprised with the lovely service, warm environment and speed of meals. we ordered 6 items in total, two lasagnas, gnocchi bolognese, fettuccine carbonara, cannelloni and the four amigos pizza (a huge hit!)<br/>i rate this restaurant a 5 star because of the delicious authentic pasta and pizza that didn’t break the bank. the pizza was of fantastic value, as we got a big piece of prosciutto on each slice! we were not expecting our food to be this brilliant. <br/>we will definitely be returning! thankyou for a lovely first experience benvenuti 😊<br/><br/>

worst customer service I’ve ever experienced bald headed manager was very rude and arrogant service was slow and will never go back after this felt sick the next day

I was happy with the food I got delivered; didn't take too long. The margherita pizza was delicious and the salmon pasta was nice, although I would've liked one or two more ingredients, like tomato or olives.

They are expensive, have less food and are not very tasty. There was no food presentation. Many improvements are needed. But the staff was kind.

Pizza has always been great from here however, the pasta needs improving, especially takeaway servings as it is overpriced for what you get. Sitting in the restaurant is a great vibe for family or friend (birthday) occasions.

Service from female wait staff was amazing and very friendly, food was nice and expected for a typical Italian family restaurant. I really need to express my disgust in the male with bald head who seemed like a manager (working on Sat night) was appalling in the manner in which he spoke to his wait staff. At 8pm, the restaurant was filled with families and in a loud voice over a few tables he said “do any of you work at this restaurant, people don’t come here looking for me to help them.” Just thought this was so degrading to say to his staff not to mention in front of his customers. FOR THIS REASON I WILL NEVER RETURN!!! Disgusting.

The place is kept very clean, which is a bonus. They meet the standards you would expect food wise nothing exceptional and nothing poor in service or presentation. Pizza was perfect, its hard to go wrong with lamb shanks and mash, the Caesar had a boiled egg instead of poached. the steak was cooked as requested. You can eat here with confidence.Lots of seating available

The food here was below average. I had a three course meal, first consisting of a starter, Garlic Focaccia, a Entrée of Penne Napoli and a main of Chicken Parma and chips. <br/>The Garlic Focaccia was dry to begin with. <br/>The Penne Napoli was flavourless and was undercooked. I personally don't have cheese with my pasta, but I added some just for some flavour. Just made it manageable to eat.<br/>And lastly the Chicken Parma and chips. The chicken Parma was disappointing. Had a funny texture and wasn't what I expected in a Parma. There was hardly any chips on the plate, and they tasted like they were oven baked. <br/>Overall, the food wasn't good.<br/><br/>After finishing the food, I had ordered coffee, which was sadly also disappointing. It tasted burnt and as if the coffee machine had not been cleaned properly.<br/><br/>Despite all this, I can say that the staff were very nice. <br/><br/>

Typical Italian family restaurant. Staff were very friendly, food was average to good and not much atmosphere. Playground for kids though so would be family friendly if that's what you need.

Dined here recently and was very impressed. Food was excellent and great value. The staff were polite and very attentive. A must do place for friends or a group. Give it a try. Even with 100 people in the restaurant all our meals arrived at the same time from the extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I cannot describe how nice the staff are!! Went there two days ago and my sister and I were greeted with such kindness.<br/>It was so nice to be treated like that, you don't find that customer service just anywhere.<br/>As for the food, it came fast however was not undercooked and was actually pretty nice!!<br/>It definitely needs more recognition

Pretty horrible all round to be honest.<br/>The chicken Parma came out very quickly (almost too quick), but was extremely disappointed.<br/>The size of the chicken took up most of the plate with only less then a handful of uncooked veg and barely any chips to accompany the chicken. The chips were also uncooked, not very hot and dry. The chicken was covered in grease that was visible on the plate. <br/>Lady next to us had badly burnt garlic bread and cold calamari who Sent them back only to get garlic bread that was burnt again in return.<br/><br/>Place was really loud and with music as well it was just too hard to hear people talking.<br/><br/>Didn't enjoy my experience.<br/>Won't be coming again.

Great simple food. Cant fault it. Simple fresh well cooked food. If you are not a great pizza fan or bored with pasta the other meals are awesome. The steaks and ribs are cooked to perfection. Great service. The owners make you feel like you are their best friends. Some great live music with a very good singer guitarist singing some of the oldies. It can get a bit rowdy with music and people and hard floors but makes for a fun atmosphere.
