Have been to this restaurant twice and both times left feeling full and happy. The food was amazing and the staff were equally amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly and never were we left without food or drink on our table.
We came in last Saturday night for dinner with friends and our waiter was on point. Tony was friendly and kept us laughing the whole time. The food was delicious. The owner was very friendly and we even shared a few jokes.
It felt like we were having dinner at a good friends home.
Can’t wait to go back again.
My husband found this place and we decided to give it a try. This place is phenomenal and so busy for a weeknight! The waitress there was so helpful and all the dishes we tried was delicious and salad was so fresh. The evening ended with choice of dessert on the house for us. It was an enjoyable evening dining at this lovely place!
After 3 months of no restaurants, we came here for birthday . The staff were super friendly. We ordered tzaziki and bread for entree which was good but bread was cold. For main, we Ordered Kleftiko and blue eyed fish fillet. Kleftiko was super tasty and in large portion, but I should say the fish was small. Kleftiko is slow cooked lamb with potato and it’s just beautiful.
I also ordered Greek coffee and they bring us complimentary dessert ! Dessert had 3 types and I enjoyed baklava most. Once they found out that we came for a birthday , they waiter brought us a shot to toast again complimentary.
I agree maybe food is a bit pricey and not 5 but it is pretty good. Restaurant is also about good time and memory and we went with no expectations and the waiter he was a superstar and made us very happy and that deserves 5 star.
They did maintain good hygiene and social distancing practise and had hand sanitiser at each table. Simply a great place and I will visit again .

This place knows what they are doing. Highly recommend for large groups as their banquet/set menu is amazing for sharing.

We had quite a feast at GKR. We eat a lot of greek food and this is one of the better restaurants. Service was attentive and warm and the food was authentic and generous. Good addition to the neighbourhood.
Amazing service, beautiful Greek food. Always busy, great atmosphere. Complimentary desserts, house baked bread and shots of grappa make for a good night!

This is seriously my parents favourite place to go and I don’t blame them. I’ll get to the food shortly but the service is just second to none. Each and every time, the waiters go out of their way to ensure we have a great night.
Taki, in particular, is an absolute gem. He is so good that he remembers our drinks order and the fact that we fast from meat and dairy at Easter time. And it’s not like we’re “regulars”.. probably go a few times a year.
The food.... is just amazing. We generally get the banquet and some stand outs are the tarama, calamari, prawns, lamb kleftiko, pork souvlaki and I can’t forget the blue eye fish. Wow.
Having a Greek background, I’ve never really enjoyed going out for Greek food since I can get it from home but GRK kitchen is something else. Perfect for large groups as well. Can’t recommend enough.
I had dinner here with a couple of mates. The service was good, and the food tasty.
I enjoyed the beers and the service. We ordered some Greek salad, which was fresh and really good.
We ordered 2 gyros lamb dishes were delicious. The lamb was great and we all really enjoyed the flavour of this dish.
The octopus was cooked well, it had a good texture, and it wasn’t chewy. Perfect.
The bread was good and the Greek desserts were a mixture of three yummy treats.

Was looking to grab a quick bite on a Sunday night and happened upon this place. It was extremely busy and buzzy with lots of Greek families eating here. Friendly service sorted us out fairly quickly. Reasonably priced wine and food.
Ordered the halloumi, koupes, Cypriot salad and lamb gyros . All fresh and tasty. We even got some complimentary desserts. Will come back and definitely recommend.

We walk past this place so often and it is always jam packed. Took the rents there tonight and can now see why. Food is first class along with fantastic service. Staff really went above and beyond their duty. We definitely be back.
Very nice food with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Friendly and attentive wait staff. They also bought us free dessert after our meal and a shot of port to toast to a lovely evening. Will be returning!
Great Authentic cuisine. We chose to go with the banquet and everything we had was extremely tasty, fresh and clean. The service is very warm wich makes us want to come back again for more. Great to see a big place like this can still manage to give that kind of service! Well done 👍
Went on a Friday night for a birthday. I had panzari which is beetroot. They were nice but a lot of garlic. The salads and potatoes were also nice. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. I don't eat meat so can't comment but my partner said the banquet was tasty and filling.

To be honest I don't remember what the taste of their food was like. I guess I won't find out any time soon....
This place has an atmosphere like no other. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a smiling face and given a choice of a few tables. The place was packed, filled with laughter and music in the background. We started off with scallops which were absolutely delicious followed by the pan fried peppers which were a bit too oily for my liking. We had the lamb skewers and the pork mince rissoles which were both quite tasty and fresh. The salad lacked vinegar or a bit of tanginess and the chips were delicious. The food came out at a reasonable amount of time and we were stuffed by the end of it. We were too full for dessert and decided to skip then we had a plate of mixed desserts brought to our table complimentary from the chef which was a wonderful gesture. We couldn't resist they looked so good and we devoured it. There was a walnut sort of cake that was so irresistible and the custard one was amazing also. Would highly recommend this place.
All mains, sides and desserts were amazing. Staff were also very accommodating despite being fully booked when we walked in so be sure to book!
Prices were also very reasonable given the quality of the experience. Would very highly recommend for a family or cosy dining experience.
Wow! This place is fantastic. Delicious, fresh, traditional cuisine. Reasonably priced and service second to none. Free dessert and tea and coffee. AND they let our group of 6 split the bill. This really impressed us as many Melbourne restaurants are on this 'no bill splitting' tangent. Hence they received a generous tip. Probably one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while. Keep it up guys!
Venue was packed out last night! And with good reason, their food is great! It was a little too tight to be honest but we managed. Im very happy with all their food last night. Banquet style. Dips and bread, all sorts of small starters, their fish could have been in larger servings but it was straight out of the oven. And juicy. The lamb was succulent. I haven't seen lamb done this way before in a Greek restaurant- banquet style, definetly my favourite dish of the night.

We ordered the banquet for 4 people and felt that it was great value. So much food! The slow cooked lamb would have to be my fave, it melted in the mouth. Also really liked the saganaki, calamari and pork souvlaki. I just think the dessert was average. Other than the baklava, it was a little bland. Good atmosphere and the staff spaced-out our meals really well so it felt like we could enjoy each dish.
The food was extremely delicious!! The owner came over to the table and was super friendly. They were very accommodating. I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommended!!

Dinner this evening. Fast, friendly, efficient. Tasty. Nothing overly garnished (think lemon red onion parsley/corri etc) went with a table of 12 or thereabouts. Quiet night in the dining room but regardless it still had a good vibe. The FOH staff looked after our table, and even played along when my little one wanted to make paper aeroplanes with him. Props to that. The food was simple but hit the mark every plate. Go to dish, scallops (roe attached 👌) with garlic and spring onion. Also the taramasalata was bloody amazing. Thanks guys and girls.... will definitely be back.
Jimmy and Nick, I want to thank you from the depths of my heart for the ideal working conditions you offered me. You both are wonderful people, who care for their staff. Besides, this interest towards them, is the main reason they mind about the business. You are like a big family. At least, that’s what I felt from the very first moment.
As for the staff…
The cooks are incredible people, endowed with a great deal of talent and passion. They prepare food on a daily basis with fresh ingredients.
The same goes for the waiters and the rest of the staff, as they aim to service and satisfy the customers as much as possible.
All these are perceived by the customers, who find themselves to enjoy high quality food inside a warm and welcoming environment.

Amazing potato chips!
Must order the slow cooked lamb. It falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The staff were warm and friendly. Nice, honest Greek food with reasonable prices.

The food lacked flavour and portion sizes were quite small. The pork skewers were nice as was the chilli feta dip and the hand cut chips. The calamari had no flavour, the rest of the dips were quite poor too. The main plates were overpriced.
The staff were rude and not helpful, apart form the main man greeting us at the door.
I would not recommend this place.
Loved the food, was delicious. Had the zucchini fries which tasted amazing, saganaki was good as always, only thing is chicken souvlaki was more like "3 chicken skewers" no pita bread, tatziki etc. Maybe consider changing this items name? The chicken was great though. Followed by a lovely dessert which was on the house. Will come back!

Had the banquet here with the family last night. Delish falling apart lamb and really tasty chicken wings. Calamari and octopus were good, though a touch on the chewy side. The blue eye was the best seafood that hit the table, cooked perfectly and flavoured with that smoky grill taste. The place was absolutely heaving, so definitely make a booking. Nice touch showing old Greek movies on the wall with the sound off.
Amazing!! We had a function at GKR today and everyone was amazed by the food and service. The food is delicious, the seafood was so fresh! We got to try a bit of everything from the menu and I can't fault anything. Look forward to returning for dinner. Thanks for a great day!!
This place is amazing for real Greek food!! All dishes we had with amazing and so fresh! The owners of the restaurant are amazing - it was my mums birthday and they ordered in flounder just for her - as she had ordered it as a special last time she was there and loved it. Service is fantastic and so helpful! Definitely 10/10

It's big, brash with fabulous atmosphere (choc-a-bloc on Friday night so booking recommended) - more canteen (in a good way) than formal restaurant. Incredibly friendly and welcoming and food fabulous. Highlights - seafood (octopus and calamari) and kingfish along with zucchini 'chips'. Generous salads - only weak link was the lamb gyros which was carved into very small pieces. Approx $50 per person with more food than you can eat and wine/coffee!
We'll certainly be back.

What a great addition to this strip. We are here on Wednesday night, glad we booked as it filled quickly. The food is great, honest flavours, beautifully fresh seafood cooked perfectly. We had a scallop entree which shared nicely between 4 ( the serves here are generous - arrive hungry!) prawns, a swordfish special and lamb and every dish was great. We also bought our own wine, although the wine list here does the job....and learned there was NO corkage!! That's unheard of recently. The staff and service are great - so friendly and helpful even though they were incredibly busy. And the Mastika they served us as a digestive at the end of our meal was just lovely , new to us and such a thoughtful little surprise! Do try this place - and do book!

Great addition to the local area , be sure to book as it was standing room only the night we went. Great mix of Greek and Cypriot meals and if you are really hungry try the Lamb Kleftiko ...its huge. Standout for me was the prawns and finish with desserts and a Plomari ouzo!!
Great place! The special roasted peppers were very enjoyable, flavourful. Service was great, friendly atmosphere, priced appropriately. I do prefer flat bread with dips than a loaf of bread. It was too filling.

Great food. We dined on a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The food arrived promptly. We were very satisfied overall and we will be going back.
Went here on a Sunday night. A couple of big birthday groups made the experience a loud and jovial one! Normally this might be an annoyance in a restaurant but here it added to the atmosphere and the jovial and happy mood most of the waiting staff were in!
Tried the calamari, saganaki, pork rissole, and chicken souvla. Overall the food was tasty and in reasonable portions. Our mains took a while to come out but sensing our edginess, the waiter gave us free dessert which more than made up for it. The custard in particular was fantastic!

Noisy but cheerful venue with terrific food. The grilled octopus was delicious and the slow cooked lamb and potatoes was perfect and far too much to eat. Staff happily got it ready to go. All staff were enthusiastic and very helpful with suggestions , salads were fresh and tasty and the complimentary deserts were beautiful. A great meal and we will be back.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Variety of Greek food on the menu. Disappointed with how long it took for food to come out and then to have 3 meals missed completely. Half our table had finished their meals while the others watched on. Then to find out that their meals had been forgotten altogether was really disappointing. Management need to recheck orders and maybe try to bring food out at the same time rather than 5-10 min apart. The air-con is also unbearable once it is on. Will not return in a group seating maybe only for 2-4.
We enjoyed Greek Kitchen and Bar. The food was delicious and staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was nice. However 3 hours into the banquet and still haven't had dessert. I recommend that until time management is mastered allow some time. This isn't to discourage them, just constructive feedback. .

Really good fresh Greek food. Had the Kalamari, Horta, Greek Salad, the pork and lamb rissoles and chicken souvla. Lots of fresh herbs and lemon with the kalamari which was grilled perfectly. Only disappointment was the order got changed a few times due to stock out and one dish got forgotten. Good service and nice gesture to make up for it. Buzzy atmosphere with plenty of people, a little loud.

Went there with 5 other people 6th January, to celebrate daughters birthday, had lots and lots to eat (2x saganaki, 2x char grilled octopus, 3x sheftalies, 1x loukaniko, 1x tirokafteri, 1x grilled prawns, 1x pan fried scallops, 1x horta, 5x pork souvlakia, 1x grilled whole snapper, 1x pan fried zucchini, 2x baked sesame sprinkled bread) including 2 litres retsina, and desert platter and paid $240, (includes $15 tip):
two days earlier, went to a steak place in docklands with 5 other people and paid $440 for 5x 3 course meals (5 entries, plus 3x eye fillets, 1x pork ribs and 1x 0.5m lamb skewer shared by 2, and 5 deserts) and a bottle of red.
Both experiences were quite enjoyable, but if you're really hungry or looking for variety at an affordable price, go GRK.
Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the NOISE. Staff were fantastic. For mid week it was exceptionally busy and they ran out of several main dishes we ordered, and they responded by giving us some complimentary alternatives and Cypriot raki; (I was very lucky to get the last baby snapper). I was so impressed that I plan to go again with more friends next Friday; and perhaps do a bit of Greek dancing, when the xeni leave.

Been to a few Greek Restaurants over the years and must say this is at the top for flavour. The service was great, the food came out fast and staff were very helpful and quick to help. However, the hero in this, is the food. We were a party of 16 people and we were all equally empresses with each and every dish that came out (that's rare). Could not fault it, the flavours were exactly as you would expect for Greek food and more. Well done GRK Kitchen and Bar, definitely be coming back with new friends to show off your fabulous cooking.

Arrived at this gorgeous Greek Resturant that had been recommended by my Nouna. The food was amazing, fresh and came very fast and lots of it and something for everyone . Atmosphere was beautiful with great music and old movies playing on the wall.
To top off the night I got proposed to with our whole family present, the resturant then brought out celebratory shots which topped of a beautiful night.
Would definitely come here again and again.

Seven chicks out for a great meal, shown to our table our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly, menu has a wide range of traditional food, we started off with homemade dips, the fresh bread kept calling us 'eat me', our mains were fresh, traditional and very generous, the dessert sampler was a beautiful finish to a great meal, the atmosphere was fantastic, this place definitely did not disappoint. Definitely a place I would recommend and return to.
