Authentic Malaysian and indian Mamak food. Roti canai served with dhaal was yum and Maggie goreng brought me back to KL. Nasi Goreng was tasty. only the nasi lemak wasn't as authentic as it wasn't served with coconut rice. Would definitely be back.

Delicious, authentic Malaysian cuisine. Fish head was crunchy and the curry was flavoursome and had just a hint of sourness. Will be coming back again to try other dishes. Highly recommended.
I love this place. Always come here whenever I crave an indian deep fried snack :).
Their meals are delicious too. My favourites are the nasi goreng and murtabak. I also love the fact that they're open pretty early so I can have lunch meal around 10am. Today I bought their lamb roti, one of my favourite snack. But if you can't stand spicy food, do not buy this one. It's pretty hot! (I love it)
We were here for long Fri lunch. Great value for money with big portions. We had the roti, rice and curry combo. ~15 dollars if not mistaken. Food coma back at the office!
Don't let the non over packed outlook fool you. The next doors don't have seating because they are small and mainly do take away- Amma is the real deal. Good food, loads of spice and friendly service. As a previous reviewer said: Go for the goat curry.
Food was ok. Can be quite spicy to some people. Not sure why they like to call themselves Malaysian restaurant when they are mainly serving south indian/sri lankan food. Staff can be quite rude to you sometimes and they lack manners. I'd not recommend to a friend quite frankly.
Friendly staff, AMAZING EGG DOSAI, loved the spicy vada. Will definitely be back for the mee goreng but not so much for the masala chicken. If you've got kids consider coming on a weekday because you'll likely have the place to yourselves if not it could be a little crammed once the seating is packed.

Update: been here many times since, the spicy goat stir fry (dont rem the name) is a must try. Very spicy n fragrant.
Encouraged by glowing reviews (ppsstt FOOD ENVY actually) by Sydneyguyrojoe and Passionate Foodies, what am i to do when 2 of zom zom's established long time reviewers gave the thumbs up to one of the more obscure food outlet in sydney?
Bought a couple of the chicken murtabak 3.75/5, vege curry murtabak 3.75/5, vege roti 3.5/5, egg onion n chilli dosa 3.75/5, grilled chicken tikka 3.75/5, basmati rice w okra n cabbage/coconut salad (available from bain-marie) 3.75/5. I was happy to learn that the meat to dough ratio in their murtabak leaned towards meat, with a thin crispy layer of dough neatly folded into rectangular pieces. None of the economical meat servings often doled out by other roti/murtabak chain outlets (step forward mamak papa rich n the like pls).
Apparently on the weekday i was there, no malaysian food was on hand as the malaysian cook was not on shift for that weekday lunch. Might be advisable to call ahead if you are after malaysian food from here. It is no mystery that amma's was bustling with trade compared to another similar joint down the road.
Have been following Amy since she opened her first in Homebush. Really glad to see the business has gone from strength to strength. Amy is a great cook and professional caterer that never disappoint.
Lately I invited fellow foodies Sydneyguyrojoe to come along. This time I tried their uttapam which is pancake like dosai and my favourite Indian desert Falooda. Falooda which is dessert made of vermicelli jelly mixed with cendol, sweet basil seeds, milk topped with a scoop of ice cream garnished with rose syrup. Unreal. The goad murtabak has changed since last fortunately it is equally yummy only less crispy but thinner.
Cannot recommend this place more especially if you don't mind travelling to the west.
Interesting to see a place that is a mix of Sri Lankan/Indian/Malaysian food
My friend Passionate Foodies has been here before and I can see why! This time he took me along for the adventure.
Interesting mix of food but I had what was a thali, very impressed with the taste of the eggplant, sweet and yummy! The rest was nice also
The murtabak was big in size and was described like it's a big gozleme by Effendy,i enjoyed it
If you want something a little different at reasonable prices, this is a must try if you want you taste buds to experience something new
