Loved LA Burgers....took me back to In n' out Burgers in California .... sweet potatoe fries and chocolate/peanut butter shake were to die for....
The Hollywood burger with a brioche bun and crispy bacon was delicious thanks!
Loved the burgers washed down with Dr pepper, staff very good, recommended to all
Great quality and service well priced too best burger I've had in a long time

Wonderful burgers! Better than In N Out! Great service and friendly staff. A true gem on Toorak Road.
Delicious, healthy and innovative burgers ! The best burgers in Melbourne.
Absolutely delicious burgers and fries, perfectly balanced ingredients used and the onion rings are absolutely sensational ! Five stars each from my hubby and I! We'll be back.
Best buns in south yarra! Will def be going back. Home made custard ice cream in the shakes are the bomb.
Grouse burgers and food loved it! Shop fitoit looks amazing too! ;)
Holy crap. I just put this burger in my mouth, and I'm fairly sure I just died and went to heaven. Absolutely Amazing. Plus the service here KICKS ASS!
Very nice burger. Potato gems were a winner. Quick service. Very solid.
Highly recommended!! Menu is great and food is better !!
Overall a pretty good experience but nothing special. Sunset Blvd burger was decent and the cheesy fries were well cooked and a good serving size. Chocolate peanut butter shake was average.
Gluten free burger was amazing. Found a hair in my cheesy fries however the burger was so good
LA burgers delivers a consistently good burger and as a local, I have frequented here on many occassions. My only complaint is the price. Prices on burgers and sides has risen a few times since it opened (which doesn’t seem that long ago) and although i’m happy with the quality, I am definitely not feeling like I’m getting the value for money I once was.
Staff are always friendly and although it can take a bit of time, the burgers are cooked right in front of you so you’re always getting it fresh.
Aesthetically underwhelming yet sanitary looking. Staff very obliging and burger was good, really good. Not that we where surprised yet we were surprised. It was great to have a fantastic burger without being told it was the worlds best up front....
Food was great, place was clean and staff is super friendly. Will definitely go back to LA Burger in South Yarra.
If you haven't had a frozen custard from L.A burgers than you haven't lived! These bad boys are the BEST. Come for the burgers, stay for the custard. #noregrets #willdoitagain #alreadyhavemorethan10times BOOM!
This burger place ticks all my boxes! Great location next to South Yarra station but parking is sometimes a struggle.
Lettuce burger options are always great to see but these guys actually assemble the burger well enough that it holds together quite well. Got the classic single patty and it was filling enough with tasty beef.
Sides are also winners here. Love the onion rings and sweet potato fries. Also recommend dessert which is frozen "custard" which is so lush and creamy! There's chocolate and vanilla and optional toppings but I prefer it plain. The vanilla flavour is my top suggestion.
The best place to hangout. This place is totally underrated. The burger is just perfect and the best thing is the chips with extra cheese. The employees are nice. They have wide space
Delicious burger joint in South Yarra. Ordered The Westwood & Cheesy Fries. The bun was fresh and toasted nicely that the edge was just slightly crisp. The burger came with onion rings which were perfectly golden and crisp and not one bit soggy, these added a nice texture to the burger. The Cheesy Fries were super indulgent with just enough melted cheese without the fries being too cheesy. Definitely recommend if passing by.
We ordered Sunset Boulevard Burger. The brioche is on point, them patties are tender. Nick the restaurant manager is very friendly and professional. Good simple honest burger joint.
Ordered through Uber eats as I was craving a decent burger and boy was it decent probably one of the best burgers I’ve ordered through Uber eats meat was perfect thickness and cooked to perfection. Onion rings also very nice dipped in there own special sauce will definitely order again
Although I judged this place from its exterior, my friend told me to try it. I was not disappointed. This place is delicious! The fries especially, yum!
This burger joint has been on my list since the day it opened. Finally I managed to pay it a visit, and it didn’t disappoint. I love the names of the burgers: Hollywood, Sunset Blvd, Westwood. I actually had so much trouble choosing. I opted for the Hollywood with bacon which was absolutely delicious. Definitely loved up to expectations. The patty was succulent and the burger had a nice hash of salt, either from the patty or the bacon, but the flavours all worked well together. Next time I’m opting for one with jalapeños for an extra kick. The potato gems were nice too with the aioli having a decent garlicky kick.
I recommend!
A very straight forward, down to earth burger place. What you get is a yummy meal without attitudes. A place to go when I crave a decent burger.
Awesome awesome deliciously homemade tasting burgers, love the buns. I had the grilled chicken which was simple but was juicy and flavourful. My husband had some kinda huge bacon burger thing and said it was great too.
The fries could have been way better. Pretty meh
Definitely a hidden Gem in South Yarra!. This was a collaboration visit. I took my cousin along for a feed with me as he is the big eater 😳 I’m a cheeseburger kinda gal! And coincidentally I found out they actually specialise in CHEESEBURGERS 🤪 Winning!. I can’t explain how tasty the burger patty was , it has so much flavour put in it accompanied by their Brioche Buns it was a match made in heaven. I definitely would go back and definitely recommend you going in to try!.
Really enjoyed the burgers here. Definitely would come back to try the others. Went during the day, it wasn't busy which is always good. And the wait wasn't long at all

Back onto Melbourne burgers with this: What lays before you is an absolute beast of a burger, never been done before at @laburgers so I am naming this the Big Poppa – five beef patties, smoked bacon, five slices of cheese, and a milk bun. To create the Big Poppa, it’ll set you back $30.40.
#meat five beef patties that are well ground and cooked medium-well, they maintain a meaty bite and are thicker than they seem in the picture. They’ve also got some mean seasoning to them, which works well with the sweetness of the pickles and American mustard. The patties are quite fatty, which isn’t a bad thing when it comes to burgers, but I think they could have been seared on the outside for just a little longer, which would leave them tender in the middle, and really help lock in the flavour. Bacon was cooked just right, not overly crisp and not floppy like a sheet of paper; they also had a good smokiness to them, which worked well into the burger. Next time I think I’d add jalapeños just to give an edge to the flavour.
#bun hallelujah, finally a place where you can choose your own bun – brioche or milk? I’d go for milk bun any day of the week. It is much softer, easier to grip, and does an amazing job at soaking up the delicious juices oozing from the meat and cheese.
#mess considering the size of this thing – it went down a treat and causing hardly any mess at all. It also went down too quick, which is probably a sign of a good burger!
A huge burger that actually exceeded my expectations, and some awesome people working at the venue too: I’d definitely be back again. 8.5/10
Came here late at night before close, staff were very friendly. Food was pretty good and definitely hit the spot. Chicken was a little burnt (not sure if that's how it was supposed to be) so wasn't a big fan of that. Burgers, however, were high quality - almost up there with in-and-out burgers in LA.
Tasty burgers and potato gems with a nice sauce, friendly staff and great location. We had to wait 15/20 minutes to get our food though but it was worth it.
L.A Burger's is definitely one of the best places to hang out for a casual bite to eat with mates and to have some burgers. The staff are always incredibly friendly and provide an absolutely awesome service. Probably the best burger joint in South Yarra by far, and we will definitely be coming back.
Delicious burgers in the city , fresh , crispy , tasty 😋
And crispy skin on fries with crispy onion rings . Definitely would recommend everyone to visit for the best chicken burgers.
Amazing burgers and staff are always friendly. Definitely my go to place for burgers in Melbourne! The double cheeseburger is unreal, highly recommend and they are always very generous with sides!
Pretty solid option if you in the mood for burgers. Nothing too crazy tho, if anything I reckon they need to step their sauce game up. Onion rings and shakes on point tho
Enjoyed every single of the double. Normally try keep it pretty simple when I order double burgers and this hit the spot. Potato gems were spot on also.
The food were 10/10. Perfect bun and meat ratio 👌and nice amount of sauces. Great music and vibes ✌✌. It was really easy to find and wasn't very busy.
Good atmosphere and very friendly staff
Sunset blvd I had was 9 out of 10!!👍👍
I'll definitely go back to try other burgers like Venice Beach and Westwood.🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
My stomach was growling as we got to this place. First impressions were what a cheap looking venue. For some reason I expected something a bit stylish on Toorak Rd and with a name that has LA in it.
To the food. The burgers were great. I had the Sunset Blvd and my partner had the Venice Beach. The chilli sauce in her burger was fantastic and the consistent flavours was very good too.
The shoestring seemed like stale maccas fries that had been warmed up and the onion rings were similar to hungry jacks onion rings but a little bit more over cooked.
Definitely get the LA Sauce it was delicious ! :)
Servings were very good so was a little bit too full to try their shakes or dessert :(
All in all good place needs to be a little bit more refined . If you want something similar but better just go to Royal Stacks.
Finally got around to getting our butts down to LA burgers! Great venue up and down stairs. The beef is a good cut and quality shows. Make sure to finish on some frozen custard. WoW!!
Satisfying, cheap and easy food! It's great for what you pay for and all the sauces really hit the spot. Great service. Not the best burgers ive ever had though, but the fries and onion rings are very enjoyable. I think it could be really good spot, but look and feel of the restraunt wasn't the best. I go there quite a bit still.
I really enjoyed my chicken burger and the fries were pretty good too. The service is quick and friendly and the portion sizes are quite reasonable. One of the better burgers I've had in south Yarra.
Heard loads about this place so I had to go in and try because I love a good burger.
Ordered the sunset blvd and it was very tasty. Soft bun, tender patties and cheese🔥 pretty decent compared to other burger places. The frozen custard was also great and very generous. The only let down was the onion rings. Very hard crust on them and not much flavour.
The food was fantastic and of great quality. The food itself is worth the price point, however the atmosphere and experience in the restaurant is not. Very boring and dull inside. The staff were super friendly and helpful which was a nice surprise considering the dull ambiance when we first walked in.
Love the Hollywood burger, it doesn't give you food coma like soo many other burger joints! Its a real American tasting burger, balanced by an excellent quality bun. The salted caramel shake is the best!
The latest spot to chime in on Melbourne's mid-range burger obsession is LA Burgers in South Yarra, with some sides and desserts to almost surpass what you might go for in the first place.
Their menu is pretty stock standard - fancier than fast food and covering the beef/chicken/veggie ground with enough different filler options but not so many that it's a difficult choice - basically it's exactly what you want in your mid-range burger joint. Both the Hollywood and the Venice Beach were perfect, the latter's jalepenos and american mustard making it the winning combo for me. Given it also has mayo it proves they're not afraid to chuck every condiment possible on there - my idea of heaven. The natural side choice for American food starved Aussies is potato gems. Don't get a big serve unless you have a particularly aggressive hangover - they're massive.
Their desserts are good! Is it ice cream? Is it custard? I don't know. I don't care, I just want more of it. The devastation when they said they didn't have the salted caramel was audible, so I was pretty happy that the vanilla with chocolate topping was good enough to make me want more. The burgers are good, but that's what'll get me back there fast!
Full (and probably funnier) review live on the blog now, link in bio :)
These burgers were pretty good!! The only comment we made is more sauce, especially ketchup to balance out the mustard. Fries and gems were great, and the salted caramel shake was actually amazing. Customer service was outstanding, super friendly.
Very pleased with eating here- was worth the travel from the other side of the city in the cold. Had the Westwood and a Sunset Blvd with bacon. Both very tasty in all regards. Generous serving of potato gems under the large option - wish I paid attention to the serving guide (but it's gems and the more the merrier). A well rounded experience despite being sick. Would eat here again.
I love it when they make a Burger with so much flavour and don't overload it with sauce, (not making you look like a little kid trying to eat it..) For a tripple pattie burger and for it to not be messy these guys are onto something. Definitely coming back for more!
These burgers are amazing! Made with 100% Angus beef and never frozen. These burgers taste like a burger should taste....meaty goodness! I had the Sunset Blvd burger with bacon & loved every mouthful. The burger holds together well(unlike other burger places) with beautiful fresh ingredients. We shared the sweet potato fries, which were also amazing & followed with yummy Frozen choc custard with salted caramel sauce....to die for. Got there just before the lunch rush & boy did it get busy. Highly recommend you pay LA Burgers a visit.
L.A Burgers is situated opposite South Yarra train station which makes this a super convenient location for almost everyone.
The venue itself feels like you have walked into the streets of L.A. With the whole wall being painted in L.A themed landscape you are welcomed with the blue sky and the red and yellow branding just completes the experience. L.A Burgers is a double story building with seating both on street level and a level up.
On my visit to L.A Burgers, this triple burger didn't exist on the menu but after chatting to the owner and me telling him that the triple was a perfect size, he decided it was worth putting it on the menu as a permanent fixture.
The softness of the patties was spot on. The beef was cooked perfectly and the cheese couldn't have been melted any better. From the first bite of this burger, I knew I was in for a treat for the next one and the burger was finished, although it cured the burger craving - I actually didn't want it to end.
Fries and gems are standard, Mcdonalds like chips and the gems come with a nice dipping sauce - I would like to see a few L.A style additions to these to take them to the next level.
Always leave room dessert! I noticed there was a candy machine when I ordered my burger and asked what the candy was for - I was told frozen custard - Now this was something I had never had before and something I wanted. DAAYYUUUMMM this stuff was good! DO NOT LEAVE L.A BURGERS WITHOUT A SERVE OF FROZEN CUSTARD! Hopefully, I have made myself clear - get the custard :P
All in all, this was a great experience and a place I could see myself visiting quite frequently. L.A Burgers have stuck to the basics and are not trying to be too fancy. Enjoy!
After seeing these guys pop up on social media I just had to give them a shot. Burgers are great and their frozen custard is amazing so make sure you leave room for dessert.
Frozen Custard Based Milkshakes! WOW they were good, Thick and creamy full of flavour opting for 2 different ones the Salted Caramel and the Wild Berry. Both very different but both made from vanilla custard. The Salted caramel sweet and full of caramel but not that overly sickly sweet it had the perfect balance. The Wild Berry fruity and fresh and it left the palate with a clean feeling which is nice after a shake.
Had the Hollywood burger tonight and it did not disappoint! Took me back to my days in LA! The meat was super tasty, the bun excellent quality, the sauces and cheese true American style. Also had a side of potato gems which were super crunchy and delicious! My friend had chicken tenders which were fantastic and a salted caramel shake and it was the best shake I've ever had in Melbourne!! Will be back again and again and again!!!
A new addition to the ever expanding Melbourne burger scene, located in South Yarra and competing with some quality burger places nearby (Hello Sam, Leonard's House Of Love, Brother Burger, Southside Central and recent addition of Easey's at Two Wrongs etc). A simple menu which was only found at the counter (should be on the tables and/or wall just to remove congestion at the service counter) but makes it easy to choose what to order. I went with the Venice beach burger and a small onion rings. The burger was pretty good, they forgot the jalapeños (which as they were preparing orders, it seemed as though they were still getting their heads around the menu - understandable for a new place, though still a bit disappointing) but the smashed patties were fantastic. The onion rings were super delicious but 5 for $3.50 (small) is a bit rich, recommend getting a medium or large. A few tweaks and this place will fit in really well on the South Yarra burger scene.
Beef burger was so good! Pattys were cooked well and had a nice flavor to them. Chicken was a bit thin, which was the only down side. Solid meal overall and worth a visit.
As the steam bustled in south Yarra station, I jumped the Myki barrier in full anticipation for me to re-immigrate to La through the culture of true burgers. The vexatious personality of the burger has always reminded me of my childhood in north western Darwin. As I entered, I felt immediately relaxed and this enabled me to take off my cravat😱. #decravataned #mylord. I went to the upper hall of mange to selected a fully tailored morsal for the dieted aforementioned individual (myself!) I ordered a Hollywood: though it's not famous (yet), and boy was my mouth suprised! The juices of the fresh, succulent meaty patties made fireworks bloom across the palate. My gluten-free companion decided to engage with some shoestring crisps. We ordered a large fries but this was really not up to large standard (in America, especially when this is the final desired appeal.) the atmosphere lacked the sophisticated looks that other clubs have (such as poof doof, round the bend (haha get it😂)) the chairs were the only redeeming feature along with a palm tree to spice the habitat of the food digestion location. Overall
I was satisfied with my dish, but I could escape the memories of a vivid childhood that brought me originally downtown to L.A Burgers.
I got the Hollywood and a medium fries to share with my auntie. It's simple but really good, the ingredients tasted fresh.. It wasn't trying to hard to be anything else but a burger. Even though it was busy the burger was still nice and warm when it got to us.
Very tasty burger and really reasonable prices. One of the best smashed patty style burgers going around. The only improvement I would suggest is a better selection of American soda
Very tasty burgers and fries on point - a welcome addition to Melbourne's dynamic burger scene will be back again and again and again...
Well done
Awesome clean non-greasy burgers, just the right amount of sauce to not have it running everywhere when you eat it. The shakes are also amazing!!! I'd recommend the wild berry.
L.A. Burgers opened up recently and is inspired by burgers from Los Angeles. I haven't been to America, but I know a good burger when I see one. I got the Sunset Blvd ($13.5) and it was pretty good. It reminded me a lot of Mick Adams (in Oakeligh) before it closed. However this burger tasted more of like a burger, the buns weren't sweet. The sauces used were tomato and mayo and it was a great combination, it also added a bit of moisture to the burger so it wasn't really dry. Other things like tomato, lettuce and pickles were very fresh. The burger was nice and cheesy as well and the cheese used was just standard American cheese, which was nice and simple. Another thing I noticed was the amount of salt used, it was noticeable. But that's not a bad thing, it wasn't too salty and added to the flavour. I'm quite impressed with L.A. Burgers, and I know I'll return again someday. So can I recommend L.A. Burgers? Yes, absolutely. An all round good burger that is definitely worth it.
Had to try out this new local burger joint. Overall good experience. Simply due to the quality of the burger! Positives: burger size and taste. Had the standard "Hollywood". Pretty quick service. Good value for money. Probably should have ordered double beef patties. Onions rings were pretty good too. Not so positives: lack of choices on menu for other burgers, upstairs dinning area is totally stark and bare and not very inviting and doesn't have any of the sauces napkins etc that are found downstairs. This place is still finding its feet but based on the burgers, things are looking good.
