With business to attend to in Malvern, I took the opportunity to hit up a local bakery. I stumbled across the Stocked Food Store on Glenferrie Road. I saw some handsome looking vanilla slices on the countertop through the window, so decided to head in with both kids in tow. The kids shared a dairy free orange and almond cupcake, Mrs B opted for a peanut butter slice and I settled for the aforementioned sweet treat.
One of the best shops in hawksburn for fresh salads, home made cakes and slices. Full deli with everything you could possibly need. You can order in advance and pick up. I also believe they have opened another store near by
I have ordered food from Stocked for parties for over two years now. The catering menu has a wide selection to cater for a wide range of guests, from children to adults, from Kosher to everyday dietary requirements. The staff are also helpful with food selecting and menu development for your parties.

It was one of those weekends again where we thought we would go check out a new cafe in Malvern however it happened to be closed on that day so we walked along Toorak Rd and came across the Stocked Food Store. The delicious and healthy looking salads in their window certainly got our attention and so we walked right in without hesitation!
The place was buzzing! It is not a huge space so when you walk in, it is quite narrow, particularly as there are generally lots of people coming in and getting takeaway. On one side there is the deli which serves up a variety of gourmet cheeses, meats, dips, salads, soups and other pre-made meals on display which you can take home such as fish pies, quiches, lasagnes, salmon patties, meatballs, cauliflower cheese - the variety feels endless! All their food is freshly made in their store and there is an abundance of healthy dishes. On the other side, shelving covers the whole wall and is filled with jars of other goodies, crackers and all other packaged items.
Right at the end of the narrow store is just one communal table in which you can eat in. We've done this twice now and have always managed to get a couple of seats as most people pop in to buy takeaway and leave. On this occasion I ordered the vegetarian lasagne with a salad and Davin ordered the salmon pattie with a salad to eat in. Both dishes were delicious and were quite generous portions!
Because the food was so good we then decided to get some takeaway for dinner so we got the chicken and vegetable soup, a fish pie which was made with fresh prawns, salmon and rockling, the cauliflower cheese, one of their gourmet salads, some cold meats and this beautiful hard cheese washed in a balsamic vinegar. I also got a lemon tart - yes they do dessert and have a range of options too! The food was divine! It made having dinner at home just as good (if not, even better in some cases) as dining out. In fact all we could think about after the lunch was having dinner at home! If the store was closer to home we would definitely be popping in more often to grab food on our lazy days. You could even host a dinner party easily by ordering their pre-made dishes. Prices are more on the expensive end however you are paying for quality and fresh produce.
Highly recommend if you're in the area to check out this food store. We'll definitely be back!

The best place for cut meat, pre made bagels, dips and much more! The narrow deli serves hundreds of customers a day and still seems to have stock for everyone! Such amazing variety there and definitely worth going to get some goodies 😁😁
Like its offshoot in Glenferrie Rd, Stocked is appropriately named. The produce is on display beautifully, bountifully and tastefully. And everything I've tried here has tasted as good as it looks. Heaven for gluttons
Surprised that this place doesn't have a higher rating - should be a 4.5 at least. Food is brilliant, the salads are fresh and delicious and great value, Every time I go there I want everything it's all so amazing. The staff are super nice and helpful. Not the cheapest place but I don't mind paying for high quality. A weekly trip for me.

The salads are looking great but some have no dressing which is disappointing did not know till later that night. The black pig prosciutto is stunning. And everyone was very helpful. As I know that customers can be very demanding and rude when it comes to deli style things. Cakes are stunning I don't really understand why you are putting sultanas in a carrot cake tho. I am a big fan of coconut tea cake but I think for $19.95 it's a little over priced. Nice to see the large caper berries and a good range of pickles and char grilled veg, I like how you have split the deli so you can sit down and just enjoy things around you. I would have no problem spending $$$ in hear as these guys know about food and quality as most of the time when you bye something expecting it to be the real thing and really all you have done is bought something you can get anywhere. I have never seen the black pig anywhere in Melbourne and don't care if it $390 per kg there is only 1 place in Spain that makes it 1 so don't expect to pay $34 for it. I would like to thank all the staff there including the gentleman who sliced it for me as well as teaching a young lady as well.
Such an amazing variety in this local deli and everything looks delicious. However such a shame they are all quite expensive.
Worth a visit if you feel like having something healthy, salad options are plenty.
Also worth checking the other not so healthy options if you feel like having something indulgent; there are heaps of sweets in the entire shop.

I highly recommend it if you have the money to afford it and I think the lowest priced items in the store start at about $15. That said, the food is of a supreme quality. In the 5 years I've been buying here, I can honestly say I've not ever had a single thing I haven't loved and become a little obsessed with. I noted some other reviews stated unfriendly service and something about Prue and Trude but I've never found the service never to be anything less than pleasant, sometimes in a hurry, but not rude and it's actually the customers who are more likely to be on the rude side, a sense of self imposed importance means they have no regard for those around them. The range is extensive, from pies and pastries for both the individual or family, to fresh salads and ready to serve-once-heated take home meals that your grandma might have made if your grandma was Stephanie Alexander. They also have a sort of high end pantry of items from coffee to fancy dry grains and pasta to irresistible sweets and biscuits and that obscure item you can't find anywhere else or want to take to impress your MIL for afternoon tea in Mathoura rd. I will say that you should be careful to check the amount of money you hand over and the change you get back against a detailed receipt or the charge on your cc before you leave the store, I've been stung 3 times over the course of a year with short changing by more than $20, and lastly, I've no idea where the idea that it's open late has come from, but it's definitely not, it closes about 6.30pm at the latest I think.

Lovely!. A bit pricey, but the food is of pristine quality, and the service is great. Especially love the supergrain salad and the salmon patties, as well as the amazing selection of breads and dips they have. Would definitely recommend!
Stocked food store is fab. I really like how they avoid the yoghurt dressing in the super grain salad when I ask them to. I also love how I can ask them to avoid the dark pieces of ham off the bone. Because nothing is more disgusting than dark coloured ham.
Also they process my order very quickly because I'm always in such a hurry due to my busy busy life
There is so much variety in this store, everything looks fresh and delicious! Lots of take home food to choose from. Highly recommend!

The professional friendly staff enhance their large range of premium STOCKED food and drink supplies will providing a luxury homely cafe vibe with delicious salads, cabinet savory food and 8 seater tables to read the paper to. Outside seating is plentiful and from word of mouth and spending a long time working in a neighbouring shop on Glenferrie Rd I can tell you this is a must visit! The owners are very friendly too...
The most immaculate food store and the biggest variety of fresh cooked meals. From cheeses to salads this place is a one stop shop for all your catering or food choices. It has an amazing vibe and you don’t want to leave without buying enough to stock your fridge and pantry! The owners are so helpful and accommodating. Well done STOCKED you know how to make customers come back again and again.....
Thank you for the best home made tartare sauce which was a big hit at my dinner party. Extremely helpful staff. Fabulous variety of food. The cheese selection is always very good. A real gem in our area. Couldn't live without Stocked.
