Review Sushi Box - Toorak

Jason Tabrett
Sushi Box is very easy to find in a great location outside by the Tokh Centre and Woolworths. being outside the centre it just seems fresher and the prices are comparable. The tuna handroll I ate was nice and fresh and the staff were really friendly with smiles and a Square tap payment service. I recommend it for a cheap and convenient lunch!

Eat here a lot, love the food, usually is of good quality. One problem I have had is unfortunately on one of my most recent trips I contracted food poisoning after eating here. Mistakes happen and of the (probs 100s) of times I’ve been there it’s been fine. Will give it another try soon and update accordingly.

Delicious sushi I would go here more often if they had more sustainable packaging. You could definitely swap out the plastic for cardboard or something. The soy sauce fish would be difficult to replace however.

Cosistently good sushi. I have been coming here for years and am never disappointed. These guys have recently moved into the space next door so have a much bigger presence in the Village. Fish is always fresh and tasty. Rice paper rolls are delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Love the new store! So much bigger and brighter. Glad to have them back after a few weeks of them being out of action in the moving process.

Ordered their vegetarian fried rice and didn’t realise it had egg in because they do not list ingredients on their menu. I am allergic to egg so I took it back moments after buying and explained, they acted as if it’s my fault and complained that they cannot do anything with it... neither could I I’m allergic!! They made me a new one...got back to work and it had chicken in it! I didn’t bother going back because clearly they are hopeless!

Ordered the salmon teriyaki don. The beans are a weird addition to the dish. There wasn’t a strong teriyaki flavour to the don. The oyakodon was much better! I also noticed that their sushi rolls were quite populr

In need of a quick snack, I popped into Sushi Box as sushi is one of my favourite nutritious snacks. I love the friendly staff here, and they have a great selection. I generally grab a takeaway, as sushi is so easy to eat on the run.

I enjoy the fact that Sushi Box has brown rice options, as I like the extra texture and nutty flavour that it adds to my tuna roll. My sushi was fresh and tasty, and I can always be guaranteed a healthy, quick and inexpensive bite when I pop in here.

Quality and tasty sushi. Exceptionally friendly local service. Brown rice paper rolls particularly good as is the hit good. And who can't go past a south Melbourne market dim sim. Delicious!

This is the only place to buy Sushi in Toorak Village! Always welcomed with a Beautiful & smiling Carol behind the counter, fast efficient and the freshest food. My favourite is their brown rice hand rolls with prawns. Amazing.

This place is absolutely spectacular. A quaint little sushi bar in a lane way off Toorak Road, it's a highlight of the shopping strip. If you want amazing sushi look no further. My go to is the salmon sushi pack - comes with 4 salmon sushi rolls and 4 salmon nigiri. Flavours are bold and fresh, everything you would hope for in sushi. Service with a smile is also a given here, just brilliant.
