Review Zev's Bistro - Toowoomba

Another amazing night out at Zev's. Staff are always knowledgeable about the food and wines they're offering and let's you really connect with the experience. Wonderful food and a candle lit dessert as the power went out. Luckily we'd just finished our mains so nothing else needed to be cooked meaning we were able to continue our meal. Staff were polite and informative keeping everyone updated and drinks topped up.

Our first time at Zev’s and it has shot up immediately to be a top 5 restaurant in Toowoomba. Excellent set menu structure which should be more popular in T’bar. I typically hate tomato and yet the tomato and anchovy side dish to the beef main course was a particular stand out. My partner typically doesn’t eat prawns and yet again found that the prawn in curry sauce was a top 3 dish tonight. It would be a great injustice if I did not mention the mushroom entree as well. The extent of any criticisms would belong to the slightly underwhelming cheese course and decor but this is overshadowed by the excellent, professional and knowledgeable service team. We will be keeping a close eye on regular menu changes to invite our inevitable return.

Every member of the family walked away very happy. What an amazing experience. Great food, wine, service and company. The degustation menu is well worth the price. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and not overwhelming so we were still able to converse between dishes. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a great dining experience with family/friends.

We had an excellent dining experience at Zev's Bistro last night. The Chef's Menu was fresh, delicious and creative. The paired wines were a great option as well and challenged us to go beyond what we would normally order. Our server created the perfect atmosphere, guiding us through each course. Thanks so much to the whole team, we had the most wonderful, delicious night and we couldn't recommend Zev's more highly.

Recently enjoyed the chef's tasting menu here with my husband. It was by the far the best meal we have eaten out in some time. Their menu never disappoints. Each dish was packed with flavour. Delicious food and great service. It was a nice evening. Just be sure not to be in a hurry - the menu experience took approximately 2 hours.

The food was great, the service relaxed but attentive. We had two bottles of wine and it might have been cheaper to do the wine pairing instead. Really good food though, some interesting and intelligent choices by the chef. The booking confirmation says: "No dietary requirements. No BYO. No cakes or decorations. We do not offer a kids menu as the intimate space of our restaurant is not suitable for babies, young children, prams or high chairs." Which is worth noting.

Absolutely the best dining experience with a nice intimate ambience & friendly service. We enjoyed each and every dish, all unique & so so tasty. Impossible to pick a favourite dish, as they were all sensational. Was nice not to have to choose from a Menu and simply relax and enjoy the 5 course offerings. The wine pairing was perfectly matched with each dish. Thanks to the chef's and wait staff for our special evening. We will certainly be back.

We have been there twice in 7 days now, and each time we have had the same high-level of professionalism, amazing quality food and delicious wine. The restaurant itself has a wonderful warm ambience. The staff are friendly, warm and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going there again soon!

Make no mistake, the food is first rate. The sevice is brilliant. It costs what it costs. This is not cheap pub tucker. Nice selection of wines. Personally, I like beer and when I go out, I like to have my favourite beer which is XXXX Gold. Not Moo Brew or Asahi. XXXX Gold os one of the best sellers in Australia which should surely make it a premium beer. Love your food but if I can't have my favoured drink then I probably won't be back.

Words can not describe my experience with Zev's Bistro! After my partner organised a private booking for my birthday dinner (my partner and Zev) went above and beyond for a very special dinner with just my partner in a candle lit, beautiful, and relaxed setting. Zev made the experience so very special by giving us not only beautiful food but an experience that I will never forget. The food is cooked with love and dances on your tongue and if you choose Zev to pair each of your meals with a drink to enchance those flavours then, you are in for an even better night � highly recommend for any dining choice- whether it's catching up with friends over beautiful food or a special dinner for two! Had an amazing meal, staff were knowledgable about what they were serving and very accommodating. Neat and cozy atmosphere well worth the drive from Ipswich, highly recommend people dine here.

Went for dinner with a friend last night. Food was delicious. Pork belly had amazing crunch but still superbly succulent. My friends salmon was sensational also. Better still was the exceptional service - our server Ainslie was fantastic. She had great knowledge of the food, was fun & friendly & importantly was intuitive enough to be attentive when needed, without constantly interrupting. Highly recommend the food & service.

Excellent! We had a couple of lunches and a dinner at Zev's so far. We can not fault any of the experiences. Freshly shucked oysters, ( which is hard to find in Toowoomba ) , juices still remaining. Lovely house baked sourdough. Mains with a variety of different cuisines ingredients coming together gently, tasty, but also immaculately presented. Good selection of wines, go well with the menu. Friendly and attentive service, communicating well with the chef over our questions about the details of the food and wines. I wouldn't normally mention this, but looking at a few reviews put here, the pricing is good as well, comparing the quality and the creativity of the food with similar style fine dining restaurants in the larger cities. Over all, an international quality dining experience. A whole hearted 5 stars from us.

Wow this is a find! Great food complimented with fantastic service and a wine list that while small is packed full of quality . We look for good that we would not prepare at home and found it at Zev's. Innovative and uses a wide variety of produce. We have been dining out in Toowoomba for over 30 years and the meal was about the best we have had. Well done Zev's!!

Best thing I’ve done whilst in Toowoomba walking into Zev’s for a mid week meal. Absolutely delicious food and perfect wines, waitress and atmosphere to match!!

Travelling solo and looking for dinner on a Tuesday night - what a wonderful find. Fabulous menu and wine list - Nebbiolo by the glass is hard to acquire in most of my usual haunts in CBD and Gold Coast eateries. A Four Pillars GnT was most refreshing - a great Australian gin that is aromatic and lightly spiced. My chicken breast with Harissa was stunning. Tender and moist with a lovely crunch to the skin. I had to try the dessert - bourbon cream with seven seed praline and freshly poached rhubarb- the gentle tartness of the rhubarb cut through the praline while the crunch of the praline complemented the smooth subtle bourbon cream. My only regret was that my family were not there to share it with me. BUT - thanks Kym - as Arnie said, "I'll be back". Xxoo Robyn

We had dinner at Zev's on Saturday night and had a wonderful time. When I was shown the menu at the B&B we were staying at, I knew I had to eat there. And we weren't disappointed. The food, the service, the ambience was all great. The pork was tender and full of flavour, the modern twist on the scallop chowder was inspired. The cauliflower and the vegetable just amazing. The dessert was like eating chocolate clouds, light but full of flavour. We will be back. The menu is small, innovative and flavoursome. Perfect. Well done to the chefs and wait staff. You gave us a great dining experience.

We were impressed by the wonderful service, from the way we were greeted on arrival, the informative, friendly and professional manner and then, the menu!! What a clever conceptually delightful, delicious meal. The dessert was magic!!

Absolutely amazing, Delish.. Wow.. So exciting to have something like this in Toowoomba. The food, the venue and the wait staff were all fantastic! A must to visit and try the devine food! Melbourne has come to Toowoomba! Yeww.

I had the opportunity to eat at Zev's Bistro today. Which was truly amazing. I took a friend for her Birthday. The waiter was a very friendly young chap. Great service. Amazing decor . Where do you start with the chef Kyle you have achieved one of your many dreams. We really had a wonder lunch. I can not wait to have dinner as the menu looks truly inviting The restaurant looks amazing very welcoming on your entry The food was simply beautiful .
