Review Farmers Arms Tavern - Toowoomba

I really like this hotel, it has a great layout and nice feel. Good atmosphere. We had a Chicken parmigiana. Fresh vegetables and really great meal. We will be back.! Oh, we camped out the back. Great grass area.!

Our party of 56 people descended on the Farmers Arms Hotel at Cabarlah, for a special “Christmas in July” luncheon. It was delicious, with alternate drop of either Roast Beef or Roast Pork and vegetables acquired from surrounding farms, Chef also made a lovely variety of desserts. Upon arrival, there as a lovely wood burning fire which made the room so cosy. Thor and his wife KerryAnn plus staff worked very hard, and made our day enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Food, drinks, service & venue fantastic.

Upon arriving for a reserved birthday lunch the pub had a great atmosphere on first impressions. However this pub if very anti-children. The children found the playroom a little creepy but still did their best to enjoy it, there was an issue with a flickering light and we were made aware of this by all the children running out scared. The publican approached the children in an unfriendly manner threatening that security cameras were watching them. The children at no time during our lunch were acting out etc and when one of the children touched the light switch he was once again approached and told to sit out very aggresively which scared the child as he did not know the publican. At no time during our lunch was a parent approached and we were within sight and hearing of all children from our table... we will not be returning or recommending. So upsetting for a country pub that's for sure.

The entrees were lovely delicous garlic bread and salt and pepper calamari. The mains were not very good the steak was tough and cooked well done when I ordered rare,the chips overcooked and the gravy cold and lumpy . Hubbys fish was dry and tastless.

One of the best reef and beef I've ever eaten. Great service very friendly staff. Well worth the 90min drive.

Not child friendly at all... kids dont dare be kids or they get in trouble by the publican Tasted like Steak was stewed and then grilled for a minute Mushroom gravy was fettuccine cream sauce Just Tip children playroom might need a little bit of updates so kids aren't scared play in there 😉

We (4) enjoyed our roast lunch here last Friday and a few Carlton Mids. I haven't had mid for about 18months! The 3 roast pork with mash and vegies and a pork sausages and mash and vegies meals were absolutely delicious. Large portions. I think their oven is ther best friend. The roast pork was tender and succulent. Definitely return again for their roasts. Service 10/10. Hospitality 10/10.

Camped here in our van for 2 nights, staggering distance from the pub, power supplied by the owner for a meal, loving life right now

Had a great lunch with my family and enjoyed the food a lot. The staff were great and I recommend the salad bar. Very well done.

Came for tea tonight, fireplace was very nice. Pizzas were divine! All meals were perfect! Will be coming back. Service spot on.

We came all 13 of us for buffet very expensive and everyone asking for dessert food was nice but not for the price. Hope it's better when we come back

Waited an hour and a half for meals, most of which got stuffed up. Reef and beef turned up with no reef, deep fried northern Barra was well over cooked. Steak was fine but a couple did get served with wrong sauces. Also, kids meals took an hour and pizza was ordinary and over priced. All in all a disappointing outing and won't be rushing to go back.

Nice old pub, now has a $10 menu awesome cheap feed, probably the friendliest service we have had for a long time and we go to a lot of pubs.

Used to be awesome but under new management very disapointing and wouldnt ever have a wedding there food was discusting i felt for my brother who payed a fortune and staff were rude to boot.

100% chicken followed up with delicious diane sauce....great bar staff and the odd larakin who wants a smoke before his brain surgery.... thanks for the great night

Decided to go out for lunch today. Arrived after a bus load of people but still got our meals in a reasonable time. Meals were awesome, staff were great and the beers were cold, all you want in great lunch

What a awful lunch... $20 for processed chicken & burnt chips. We were warned not to go but decided to make our own conclusion. Won't be back... And what's with the smell of vomit through out the dining room!!
