Review The Downs Hotel - Toowoomba

Haven't been to the pub for along time until meeting up with a mate for convenience. We had lunch, it was great, great service and cold beer. Really enjoyed it. Did find out the pub had a new owner, congratulations keep up the standard, I'll be back. Yum 🤩

Great place to meet and have a meal. Staff are friendly and helpful. Meals are really good and worth a visit. Have been there many times over the past 3 years and keep going back. Enjoy the friendliness of the staff.

What a disaster!! Came in last night for some food but decided not to after I ordered a lemon, lime and bitters. I Had to remind the young lad twice to put bitters in the glass(clearly out his depth) He asked us to take a seat and he would bring the rest of the drinks out. He delivered our drinks but forgot our sparking wine. When I asked about it he informed me there was none left. We payed for a drink we did not receive. The menu looked basic at best so we decided to head to the next establishment. Very poor all round, one of the waiters had no socks on. Just very unprofessional. Such a shame as this place used to be good. Obviously a change in management and a huge step backwards 😬😬

We love our local. So nice to walk into a warm welcome snd great service. It's somewhere that the staff want to know you and do their best to make your visit special every time.

Always a great experience with the food and drink. Definitely recommend the parmi here. Pokie machine help is about slow but besides that a great place to be.

The photo doesn’t do it justice. Steak cooked to perfection and the veggies hot and delicious. Great pub grub that won’t break the bank. Highly recommend.

We had not been there in years but had heard recently that the food was worth the trip to Drayton. We came tonight for dinner and we all enjoyed our meals. The serves were very generous and tasty. The gnocchi was delicious and your chef catered especially for one of us that is vegan. We will be back and spreading the word to our friends.

Came here on a quiet Friday night and was promptly served. As it was quiet we received our meals within 10 minutes of ordering. Really good lamb roast, missus said she had a slightly average lasagna though. Great value for money in this age of small servings on bread boards and liquids in masonry jars. Pro tip: if a restaurant/cafe/pub/tapes bar/any establishment that serves food or drink is busy, don't be surprised if your meal takes a bit longer, or they forgot to make your off-the-menu meal just the way you like it.

The Valentine's Day menu is on par with food I have eaten in a New York fine dining restaurant ! So good !!

Relaxed old school hotel..delicious food friendly staff, Nikki the manager definitely deserves a gold star...a nice change to enjoy a smaller hotel with a local feel.
