I ordered and picked up right on closing time after a busy Saturday night, all the staff were so friendly and the young girl even used my name when asking if I had a good day. Such personalised and friendly service and to top it off the food was fantastic. It is so rare to find such passion from a take away restaurant!
Absolutely best in town hands down.amazing food, friendly staff, fair prices and the owner is lovely too. Highly recommended!!
Been here a few times as it's around the corner from work. The food is quick and hot, perfect for lunch in a hurry. The garlic pawn fettuccini is the right amount creamy sang garlicky, and not skimpy in the prawns. The arancini balls are fresh and crisp with a gooey, cheesey inside. Delicious gellato and cakes the look amazing are also on offer. Haven't tried the pizza yet, but the pasta is great and the entre size is plenty big enough for lunch.
La taste the best. Wow this is a fantastic place for pizza , pasta and ribs the chef was very helpful I've been and tried a lot 10 / 10
Best pizza in town by far, if you haven't tried it its a must. Great prices , pasta and ribs also. great lunch choices and specials during the day. Paul the owner very welcoming and great service 10/10 highly recommend
We come here regularly. The pizzas are all tasty and loaded with toppings. They also do hot chips, which is more popular with the kids than I'd like.... But it is good. The service is always happy, friendly and professional. Will be coming back again soon. Thank you.
So we placed an online order, and we do live a little further out than most, not that far, but far enough to receive a call from the restaurant advising - that’s just too far for us to deliver.
After a small back and forth, given we paid already, okay we will deliver to you guys.
So delivery arrived right on time,
Kids love your pizzas, I’d had 1 to many to drive ?
I’d just like to say a massive thanks 🙏.
And NO, we won’t do delivery again, but we WILL order again.
We understand the complications, and costs etc.
Thanks Paul and staff ! 10/10
Best Take Away place in Toowoomba. Very small store but packs a mighty punch with it's choice and quality of food.
I personally love their pizzas but there pastas and Burgers are great also.
Highly recommend this place for the best take out food on Toowoomba.
The pizza toppings are insanely nice and a really generous amount but the base is always like sagging uncooked dough making it near impossible to pick up a slice without loosing the topping immediately Gotta harden up that base guys please . The spaghetti bolognase was a really generous amount but not a lot of taste/ flavour very average. Still I would recommend La' taste to anyone.
Friday nights = movie night. An easy website to order our favourite meals including gluten free, with prompt delivery! Thanks to this team for great meals to compliment the evening!
The staff obviously
enjoy their job as they were upbeat, smiling and friendly. Great capannina pizza and pastas. As a bonus the chips with the fish were super crispy. Pick ip time was 10 mins off target but the food made up for it.
Yum, yum, yum! Food is super delicious and huge. The lunch special is the way to go. We ordered a pizza which was not oily and tasted fantastic. The nachos were huge for one. This is not really a sit in and eat place, more a takeaway with a few table and chairs. I would definitely return for the pizza alone.
This is my favourite Italian joint in Toowoomba. I can't speak to EVERY pizza on the menu but it's definitely the best meatlovers in town. The sauce is hearty but not overwhelming. Each variety of meat really sings through the stringy cheese topping. The lunch special is unquestionably great value for a regular size pizza, it always leaves me satisfied without being over-filled.
The risottos are creamy and bursting with deep, rich flavours. In the ignorance of my youth, I once tried to make risotto, I figured it was basically just rice and some bits and pieces. Boy was I wrong! My risotto, and indeed many others that I've tried over the years are TOO heavy and feel 'gluggy' to eat - like drowning in a sea of overcooked rice. Risotto from La Taste? Totally next level. It's refined and perfectly balanced. Even better than those i've tried from hatted restaurants.
Needless to say, the real test of an Italian eatery is the pasta and boy let me tell you this place will go toe-to-toe with pasta from anywhere. My personal favourites are the Italiano and the Pollo e Funghi. Both are 5-star dishes. Beautifully refined and a pleasure to experience again and again, similar I imagine to driving a Ferrari up the Amalfi coast, these two pastas are a thrill every time. A few honourable mentions must go to the carbonara (a classic for sure) which is fantastic and the Alla Panna is definitely worth a try if you're a seafood-pasta kind of person - not my personal preference but I would still recommend, they're definitely tasty.
Also on the highly commended list are the chicken caesar wrap and schnitty wrap on the lunch menu - 5 stars. Other items on the menu are pretty good too, I've just listed my personal favourites which I'd say are all a 'must-try' for the budding restaurateur in town. Some would argue that prices might be a touch on the high side, but trust me it's worth every cent.
Staff are always super friendly and welcoming, if you work in the area they always remember a face and love to get to know their regulars. I really like that in an eatery, definitely a key factor in what keeps me coming back.
They also do delivery which is awesome but I usually walk; it's worth it to pop in and say hi to the team if you're close enough.
If you ever drive past and see this hole-in-the-wall little Italian place, or are passing through town at all, definitely stop in and pick something up - you absolutely will not regret.
Edit: the caramel slice is delightful as well.
