Review Flour And Bean - Toowoomba

Have avoided this place for a while because it took them 15 minutes to make a juice on my previous visit. Today I was looking for a quick lunch to take away. Was going to get a pie but saw that they had "gravy rolls" on offer so I ordered a Roast Beef gravy roll. What I got was shredded/pulled beef that looked like it had been sitting all day and had just been heated in the microwave. It took them about 10 minutes to make it. 10 minutes to cut a roll, put some meat in it, and put it in a packet. There were no other customers.

Went in just after 3pm, asked for a coffee. Was told no, they had turned the machine off as it was nearly closing time (which according to Google is 4.30pm) ordered a sandwich, paid full price, got the minimum topping, having everything presented out of one side of the sandwich with nothing in the middle. NEVER AGAIN!

Chicken burgers are fresh and tasty...Eggs Benedict was wonderful, crunchy bacon and perfect eggs. The coffee roaster in the corner killed the atmosphere a little...But overall great for a quick bite to eat.

I've just thrown the bulk of a takeaway Flour & Bean Big Breakfast in the bin ... very unhappy with the experience. A F&B Big Breakfast consists of; 2 x eggs sunny side up ... slightly burnt on the underside and watery runny up top. 2 x Chipolata's ... one under-cooked and the other one shriveled up looking like a shriveled blackened Egyptian mummies appendage. 1 x pile of misshapen and extremely oily mushrooms. 2 x 1/2 slice of tasteless tomatoes 3 x 1/2 slices of toast ... and I apply that description with some reservation as the *toast* was limp and floppy and appeared to have as much enthusiasm to be part of the breakfast as I had in attempting to eat it before I gave up. 1 x messy pile of bacon swimming in grease that had alternate scorched and raw portions to it. There was absolutely NO attempt to present the meal in a tasteful way, and it's obvious to me that the cook didn't give a pink petunia that someone was paying $14 for this swill. I don't recommend F&B in Toowoomba.

Friendly and helpful staff, well portioned serving sizes, a limited selection but everything that's there is of good quality.

Terrible. Three out of five things we ordered weren't availible. Pancake were burnt. Omelette was so burnt it was inedible. They said they couldn't poach eggs because poacher was dirty (their words). Avoid!!!!!!
