Review Max Brenner - Toowoomba

We went to Max Brenner on 10/6/22 mid-morning and had a great experience. The food was good and came out quickly, and we didn’t wait long for our coffees either. Staff was friendly and were attentive. Thanks for a lovely, experience!

Went into Max Brenner around 9:40pm tonight. My girlfriend ordered the make your own hot chocolate. When she received it, it was nothing that she thought it would be. I paid $6 for it and found it was an incredible waste of money! All she received was 2 shot glasses of hot milk, and a little bit a chocolate to mix in it. I’m am very disappointed! You need to tell your customers what they are actually paying for! As we were under the impression that it was a normal hot chocolate, but you get to make it. Not get given 2 little tiny pathetic shot glasses. Way too overpriced and a waste of money.

We were hoping to top our shopping experience with a stop for the Best hot chocolate that we remember. Instead we had the worst experience in a long time. The banana bread was a year old, so stale and hard. and when I raised the issue I was told it was cut today which I know is a lie, and that It was because it was flourless. Not realising he was speaking to someone who bakes. The disappointing experience was topped with washy warm hot chocolate when we made sure to ask for extra Hot Chocolate, which I could have done better at home. Overall, I say save your money and stop at McDonald’s. would’ve giving no stars but it wouldn’t let me.

The wait time on a slow day of an average between 35-45 mins for a ice cream sunday is ridiculous. This is with an average of 4-5 staff members and 6-7 tables with people. The staff don't seem to have any motivation, especially when you compare to an average quality cafe.

This place is an absolute treat on it's own. Coffee was great, desserts were delicious and the staff were very friendly. I've been to a lot of Max Brenner cafes around Australia, and it's no surprise that this particular one produces quality food and service. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I tried the Waffles and Cigar. The waffle did have the kind of taste your expect from something that isn't freshly made right there and then, but the chocolate on top was divine. The cigar was amazing, with a super rich mousse inside. The staff were very friendly and honest about what to get. I'd always recommend a Max Brenner if you haven't been.

Had the worst experience at Toowoomba Max Brenner. After waiting on a long queue I was told that it would take 45 mins to 1 hour. As I was the last person it was like they didn’t want my order. Both staff was very unprofessional. Management should’ve put enough staff.

Chocolate. A good place to go after dinner or as movie or anytime really for something chocolatey, sweet and a drink. Staff were pleasant and our orders can out quickly. I even picked up a variety box of chocolates hand picked by me and packed for me in store.
