Sensational breakfast and dinner delightful too. Great food to please everyone (including vegans and vegetarians), desserts to die for, good coffee and wine list, relaxed service. Best new eatery to open up in Torquay this year - by a long shot. Deserves more than five stars.
My fiance and I recently had our engagement party at The Stoop and we couldnt have been happier! Cate, David and the team were excellent to deal with and all of our guests loved the food, decor and vibe of the venue. All of this was done on a reasonable budget as well. Next time you are in Torquay I would highly recommend The Stoop!
Fabulous, cosy, funky, great service, excellent food, best Gnocchi I've tasted in a long time, good wine, old vinyl records playing. Highly recommend
We went this morning and I had the kale and silverbeet baked eggs... it was delicious. The outdoor area was perfect for my toddler as there were toys and heaps of space for him to move around. Great place to eat with kids

The service is as good as the food. The staff pay attention at a five star restaurant level. Something sadly missing at other Torquay venues. Attention to detail, caring to stop and fill your water glass, ask about wine requests, offer guidance on menu, smiling! The staff at The Stoop are just outstanding.
Chefs are creative and food is fantastic, fantastic in flavour, but also because it arrives on time and without a 30-40 min delay I've had at other Torquay venues.
This place is growing and the reason is clear, they know their stuff and team work is evident. Takes a lot of team work to create a great venue experience like this and I'm a big fan after just two visits.

Hard to find good places like The Stoop that offer a reliable attentive service level with top quality dishes that does not diminish over time.
The last couple of visits have reaffirmed. Nothing too complicated on the menu and the wines are very good and not over priced. Specials are always excellent.
Lovely lunch today at TheStoop in Torquay the building is quaint and decor warm and inviting service is good and the menu very tempting, we chose the bouillabaisse & beef burgundy pie then a lovely cinnamon apple biscuit a good experience
Very down to earth place to eat. The food was sensational from kids to adult meals. The pricing is very good also. Service was great will definitely recommend The Stoop.
Very pleasant staff who were attentive but not too much. We both had hamburgers which were nice and tender and not over juicy. The accompanying chips were crisp and tasty. Overall a pleasant experience if the wine by the glass is a touch expensive and it was a shame the Stones & Woods tap beer was off. Lastly, who wants Melbourne Bitter on tap when there are so many better beers brewed locally.

Don’t usually make reviews, but this place is easily one of the best I’ve been to in recent memory. The duck liver parfait was paired with some of the softest, fluffiest bread I’ve ever had, and the Scotch fillet was simply phenomenal. Would definitely recommend.
Going to The Stoop is like you're going to a good mate's house for a beautiful, home cooked meal. It's not pretentious, it's not trying to be something it's not. It's wholesome food done well. The gnocchi with beef ragu is an all time favourite and never disappoints.
The wine list has something for everyone and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Excellent restaurant just off the Main Street of Torquay. Short menu that offers a lot of choice and caters for dietary needs. A blackboard menu of daily specialS. Food quality was excellent and they have a good wine list supporting local wineries. However they do need more non alcoholic drinks that are not soft drink. Service was very good.
We held a professional function at The Stoop and the food, staff and venue were exceptional. All of our requirements were catered for and our guests enjoyed the evening. A great place to hold a private function. We highly recommend it.

My partner and I both ordered from the specials board and we have no complaints. Everything was delicious, could have eaten it for days. My partner said it was the best fish he’s ever eaten!

Food and flavour here is awesome. Have had vegan options of their burgers twice and found them *really* good. Other dishes have been great too. Great bar inside with nice wine list. Nice place for something a little more original.
Incredible find! The Stoop had a wonderful array of interesting specials plus the menu is packed full of great dishes. 5 of us shared a range of delicious dishes for lunch. We had a couple of awesome bottles from a great list of local and foreign wines. Service was superb. Highly recommended!
