Good fresh Thai food with excellent flavours at reasonable pricing. had a good lunch from their lunch specials. while it's not a fine dining place it's some good authentic Thai cuisine
My favorite local Thai restaurant. Highly recommend the green curry, it is delicious. The staff are friendly, quick and attentive. Overall just a great night out.
It was a really nice thai food we had for our lunch. The Thai Red Beef Curry is so delicious and fresh..it's a complete dish mixed of beef, crunchy veggies and rice. Our favorite succulent pandan chicken is so yummy. And the Choo Chee with deep fried Baramundy fillet was a BOMB. I love all the mixture flavour in it. We were very please with all the dish and service we had..worth it the money
My favourite local Thai restaurant. The food is good however I would love more gluten free options as most of the curries tastes the same. Staff are very friendly, I will keep coming back.
Went out to yum yai last night. Ordered fish cakes for entree - the only down side of the meal. Texture, look and taste very average but on a positive note the dipping sauce was delicious.
As for the mains. Beef massaman melt in your mouth ( chunks large and tender ) Choo Chee chicken - perfect Amount of sweetness and spice. Pad talay Thai ( seafood stir fry dish ) delicious crunchy veggies ( highlight) and nice contrast to the curries.
Service was polite and efficient. Definitely recommend - just don't look at the colours of the walls too closely.
This is another regular Thai restaurant of ours for takeaway. Nothing has disappointed me so far. However I don't remember which dishes are must have ones either.
Went to Yum Yai for dinner Thursday night. Service was quite good. Attentive and friendly. Entree (Golden delight tasting plate) and both meals we had were nice though i don't think we would order them again. The Lard Nha was almost a noodle soup instead of noodles.
The tables food next to us looked fantastic and we got a bit of food envy i think.
We have had takeaway from here before and it was probably better than when we ate in. Different meal choices though. Still worth a visot.
My boyfriend & I dined here last night (Saturday night) for dinner. It's quite a small restaurant with some outdoor seating & it was quite busy, but not unpleasantly noisy.
The menu is pretty good, and the food is medium-well priced for thai cuisine and for the serving sizes.
We ordered vegetarian spring rolls for an entreé, which were nice. My boyfriend ordered pad thai & their fried rice. He said the pad thai was average but he loved the fried rice! I ordered the stir fry with a peanut sauce , tofu & vegetables and it was really delicious! I ordered 2 servings of rice to go with it, but probably could have gone with just one because it was a decent amount of rice compared to other experiences where I haven't recieved enough rice in a single serving.
The wait time for our food was a bit long, but the overall experience was nice & I can see myself returning.
Went here couple weeks ago on a Thursday night for a quick dinner on the way home.
The staff were very friendly and the menu was quite big and well priced.
The crispy cup entree was very nice an refreshing with the taste of lime coming through at the end after everything else
Main had chicken stir fry with chilli and vegetables,it was so light with little oil but so fresh an tasty all the way through, was accompanied with steamed rice an the two went well together.
I'd definitely recommend to come here for sure.
Great food, great, friendly service, a nice lunch spot!
Thoroughly enjoyed a meal here of Paw See Ew with chicken, nicely flavoured, not too heavy on oil or soy sauce, just enough. A good amount of thinly sliced chicken and egg. The rice noodles were fresh and tasty. Friendly and attentive service during the lunch time rush.
They have one of the best Tom Yums in Adelaide. The perfect amount of sweet and sour 😀. I have been coming here for the last year and haven't found a better tom yum.
Sensational flavours! We ordered the chicken satay for entree and Thai fried rice, chicken pad Thai, stir fry chicken with cashew nuts and beef with garlic and onions and really couldn't fault any of the dishes. However when I asked the waitress if the pad Thai was spicy I was told no, however it turned out to be mildly spiced.. my partner who enjoys spicy food loved the spice. When you added all the flavours of the dishes together they worked really well. Service was friendly, overall would definitely recommended
So good! The menu is great and has clearly marked vegan items. I loved the green curry and pad Thai - can't wait to go back for more again soon.
Just Too good. Went here on voucher FANTASTIC!!!!!
We went again Saturday night took our friends with us this time and again FANTASTIC!!!!
The service, food, all too good can't wait to go again
The servings are also generous and very friendly staff
Wow! So tasty, fresh and YUM! The best Thai I have tasted in a very long time. This is going to become my local Thai now. Delicious.
Value & delicious. Herself & I enjoyed our meals in this restaurant, which was busy for a Monday night. The Kari Chicken Curry (chicken & potato) was outstanding. Also Pad Kra Prao Chicken & vege sitirfry. Wine list includes some reasonable wines for an Asian restaurant & good value.
Fussy me would definitely visit again.
Recommended !
Yum!. Crispy chicken wings were delicious. Chicken laksa, red beef curry and ginger chicken stir fry were all delicious. Quick service on a Saturday night. It's the second great meal I have had there, so will be returning.
Tried vegetarian for a change was still impressed! Crispy cups followed by Lad Na and Green curry washed down with coconut juice. Everything tasted great and the service was great too. Will be back for sure but next time to try the meat dishes.
Yum Yai Thai Kitchen. Food was lovely and my work colleagues have added this place to the lunch time eat outs. Service was great and is reasonably priced.
Delicious food. Packed with flavor. Fish cakes and pandan chicken were great for entrees. Choo Chee chicken for us and fried rice for the kids was fantastic. Will definitely be back for takeaway or done in:)
Good Value. Mum and I had lunch here a couple of days ago and were very impressed with the quality of the food.
We used a voucher, which gave us an entrée and a main meal each, plus a glass of wine - for $29.
It had some exclusions but you could choose from 98% of the menu, so we were happy.
However, rice wasn't included, so we paid the extra $2.50 to get a serving for 2 - which was just enough.
We both had the satay chicken skewers as a starter, followed by a mild Teriyaki dish with cashew nuts - I chose the beef and Mum had the chicken. Neither of us wanted the wine, so they were quite happy to give us a Lemon, Lime & Bitters instead. The food was hot, quickly served and very tasty. Service was with a smile.
We would certainly be happy to make a return visit.
Yum Yai. Yum, yes, but not very filling. We ordered stir fry items from the menu. I guess I'm used to large servings when I pay close to $20 a main but I'm not a huge eater. Still, when our mains came I couldn't help but gawk at the modest serving on a plate (with a colossal "single" serve of rice just spilling out of the serving bowl just next to it). What am I supposed to do with all that rice? I don't have enough to mix it with!
Regardless, I was happy with the service and very impressed with the quality of the vegetables and the meat (snide remark- I counted 6 pieces of chicken in my main). Oh well. The flavours were divine and the dish well cooked. It's just a more up-market restaurant and so you will pay more.
What a great restaurant we eat here regularly, casual relaxed great food & service & I love the satay! One of the best thai restaurants in Adelaide.
YUM!. Love this place! First time diner and used my living social voucher for 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 drinks!
The food came out quickly, maybe a 10 min wait on a saturday night, the place was packed by the time we left and we saw endless take away customers...Thai fried rice was amazing and full of flavour, not dry and boring like some other places!
one of the other mains we ordered was the burramundi and that was massive!!! we were so full we couldnt finish our entrees, which we requested take away but very sadly left it behind :( The staff were also friendly
I will come back for sure
Good Thai!. Had dinner here last week for the first time and i must say it was Good! Yum Fish & Som Tum w/prawns, Fantastic! the fish cakes were a little overcooked, but still tasty. nice friendly staff. Will return soon!
Not bad. Not a big menu. But from what i have tried quite good. I have had a few quick lunches and one evening meal. All good.
I usually judge a Thai restaurant by Tom Kha Gai, Larb and green curry. All done very well.
Cooks/Chefs real Thai [youngish ladies] as well.
Always ask if chef is Thai [improves chances of good tasting food]. So many restaurants in Adelaide have Malaysian chinese impostors who cook foul mock Thai dishes.
Tasty pandan chicken and satays. We came here with a Groupon voucher and had pandan chicken and satays for entrees. They were really tasty and fresh! The pandan chicken would be exactly what you would you get in Thailand. As for the satays, almost close to authentic. For mains we had roast duck salad and some stir fried beef in Thai sauce. Both were good. Service was so-so. Anyway, was very surprised that we had to pay extra charges for rice and certain mains which was not mentioned in the Groupon voucher. Otherwise, it was a pleasant dining experience. Will return to try other dishes.
Good service and nice atmosphere, with a menu boasting all the usual suspects. This is local for us, so we'll be back!
Delicious lunch specials! You get a full plate and the food is of great quality (unlike a lot of other Asian places that offer lunch specials). Chicken and cashew stir fry was awesome, as was the pad thai. Would definitely come here again.
The best som tam in adelaide I think!
Other ones like green curry is not quite nailed yet...
Really yummy eventho the salad was a bit salty. The portion was big. Service was nice.
Delicious. Excellent and authentic Thai food. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive but not fussy service. Good sized serves and value for money. Parking at the door.
We'll be back!
Yummy Thai @ Yum Yai!!! Fantastic place with fantastic food. We live locally and are so happy to have this little gem so close. Polite service with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended.
