A quick lunch before the airport journey. Got myself a butter fish with chips and an extra butterfish alone. I didn't have the chips yet the butter fish was very good with a golden crispy batter. Very good succulent fish, a good treat! 👍
i have noticed the reviews go back to 2012. I first went there in 2015 and like most reviewers i thought the chips were the best i have ever tasted and i have always found the salads to be fresh and tasty, especially the Greek. it is now Jan. 2018 and i believe the attitude of the younger attendants are excellent and always have a smile. I don't buy seafood from a fish shop or a chicken shop as i only eat fish i know are from local waters so i make no comment in that area. I naturally expect the chicken to be expensive as they are open long hours and on the three occasions we have bought there we found the birds to be tender and tasty. I am on my way there now to buy our Greek salad and chips. cheers
Amazing chips yes this place is known for its chicken but they definitely have the best hot chips in Adelaide. Been coming for years and the quality has never changed AAA+++
Great combo deals and it's has the added luxury for customers to be open on major public holidays

Filled to the gills. Had eaten here in June 2012 but never wrote the review. Not exactly a dine-in experience but for drop-in convenience, portion size and quality burgers, this place is the one to go.
Quick and friendly service, the chook is free range and the chips are thinner/crispier and not soggy or undercooked. My regular haunt.
I would say best in taste chicken and chips but service is a bit slow, expect at least 20+ minutes on a normal routine day. I have no complaints with taste, on spot. Recommended.
Don't expect a real fast service if you walk in off the street during a busy time... and for a good reason! This is the best chicken shop in the West! Phone ahead and you will be able to pick up your order when you arrive. The food is perfect for a classic chip shop. There is no better. They have taken the time to work out how to present the best food at a low cost. It's amazing! I'm so lucky to live so close. I have ordered many meals that I'm so impressed with. Even the chicken hot pack came with a seperate container of gravy so I could choose how much I wanted to add. Thank you Fat Chicken!!
I bought a Steak sandwich tonight and it was the BEST steak sandwich I have had in a very long time. Thoroughly recommend these guys. Great service too. Very happy and will be going back 😊

Awesome place if you want a night off or don’t have time to cook, chips were golden and crunchy, Chicken breasts were slightly dry but amazing gravy made up for this. Will defiantly visit this spot again.
