Review Chico Rio All You Can Eat Brazilian Restaurant - Townsville

Terrible service!!! The staff could not find my reservation, but we were seated promptly. We were the second table in the restaurant but waited over an hour for our first side dish to be served. Even worse, we watched as other people, that came in well after us, were served the same thing we ordered. We became tired of the excessive wait for food we paid for and opted to receive our remaining order as takeaway. When we finally received what should have been six cheese buns, it was actually three cheese buns and some garlic bread (see photo). They did not care about us and it was hard to get their attention to order food, then the order would come out wrong. Another example, my wife ordered heart of palm and they brought out salsa. I would absolutely avoid this place if you care about receiving basic customer service.

Had a lovely dinner at Chico Rio Townsville. Food was superb and the staff were helpful. Different meat items were perfectly grilled / prepared and the overall experience was fantastic. Keep up the good work...all the best.

Fantastic experience! The food is delicious, unlimited meat 🥩 and sides is awesome and the most impressive is the customer service! The staff are friendly, attentive, proactive and efficient. John could really read my mind every time I thought about asking for something, he would offer before I could ask. Mareesha is super nice and friendly. She has a su relax vibe! I love it 💓They all made us feel welcome! My partner and I love this place already. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! Thanks (Obrigada) Chico Rio! 🇧🇷! Ps: The only downside was the poor air conditioning and the fans were not working tonight. It was hot and we were sweating. It needed to be fixed, specially during wet season. Still an awesome night! For sure I will not come back and I advise everyone to check the hygiene before go and eat. The toilets were covered in mould ( doors, walls, mirrors.....)everything very dirty and the kitchen floor was extremely dirty as well......I wonder about the hygiene for food preparation ...... The rump cap was good and few others meat as well but not really like a Brazilian style. The crumbed banana was discussing....and the halloumi cheese also very bad because they deep fry. The palm heart salad only had one transparent slice of the palm....better not to put it because you can't even taste it. It was a very bad and disappointed experience.

I came here with my Brazilian husband and our son. We were both really impressed with the food. The best thing here is the fantastic customer service. Such a young team doing a phenomenal job. We’ll visit again when we come back! Thanks again! Chantelle, Fernando and Theo

I Just had dinner with friends in Chico Rio Restaurant. The food was amazing and the drinks are the best!! the staff are so lovely and friendly. BEST RESTAURANT with delicious meat. Can’t wait to dine in next time!!

Staff were friendly however the food was just ok and there wasn't a huge variety. We started eating at around 7:30pm however it seemed like the kitchen started closing at a similar time. We got the same 4 or so things brought over to us the whole night Would recommend coming earlier if you want try different meats

We got the 2 meat 3 sides option. The lamb leg and garlic rump was terrible, very dry and too salty to eat! Two dishes had cold cheese balls, we realised how bad they were when they brought us a new hot portion. The two stars are for the bbq chicken, plum pork and cinnamon pineapple which were pretty good

visited here on a Tuesday greeted by a friendly young lady seated & she explained how this brazilion restaurant operated very prompt with a bottle of water & a drink order. WOW what can I say about this place Tuesday night was $39 all you can eat with a free stubbie of beer & there was no shortage of food. We ordered a couple of sides which we probably didn't need & the very friendly staff just roam the room table to table with huge skewers of beef,lamb, pork, spicy chicken wings, chicken wrapped in bacon, little sausages, a couple of vegie skewers & some caramalised pineapple OMG they were all totally delicious . We finished off with yummy chirros & chocolate sauce DEVINE.The staff were absolutely run off their feet but still happy & friendly definitely have another visit here before we leave Townsville

Night started off with a staff member flipping us the bird in the car park. Within the first 30 minutes the system for ordering drinks had turned into chaos, and all you could hear was complaints around the room that the beer was warm. Someone asked for their beer on ice and got a schooner with ice IN the glass. � The food was nice and one or two of the servers were friendly. Most other staff seemed under the pump and generally not happy to be there. I'm afraid the upstairs function room was way too noisy, too hot and too chaotic for an organised party. And even though 99% of diners wouldn't even know or notice, all they played was reggaeton and merengue, neither of which are Brazilian styles of music.

We eat at a lot of townsville restaurants and Chico Rio are up with the best of them... great staff, quick service, yummy yummy food. We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

It was a little disappointing it was advertised as $39 all u can eat and a complimentary drink for all customers,I didn't get a free drink because all they offered was 2types of beer and the food was beef, lamb and pork and chicken with salads so hopefully they've changed their add.

We love Chico rio and tonight we decided to try their new take away menu! WOW!!!!! we are completely blown away. Not only was the service I received when I arrived top notch, the food... AMAZING!!! Super sized servings and to die for flavours. Well done! We will absolutely be back... maybe every week ��

Unreal never been to place like it gotta find something similar in Brisbane as we were only on holiday meat cooked to perfection and side dishes were all good

Thankyou for helping make my Mum's 80th such a great experience.Her one wish was to come to Chico Rio for her special night. All of us including our out of town family visitors enjoyed the food, ambience and service. Highly recommend.

Wonderful staff and amazing food. I recomend paying the $50 for all you can eat, definitly worth it!

What a great place! The food is so, so good and as much as you want to eat for the set price. A wonderful variety of meats and side dishes. It's probably the first time in my life I've turned down dessert but with the pineapple with cinnamon and the fried bananas included I didn't need it. They were so delicious! And the staff were super friendly and efficient. I will certainly be back!

First time visit for me. Staff were wonderful, smiling and friendly. The food was divine and plenty of it. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
